He was a storm -- a gusty mixture of thick, grey clouds and lilac tinted electric currents that ran through his veins like fire.
In the wake of every step he took were upturned houses and trees torn from their roots.
Every word that left his lips were laced with the promise of destruction and grief.
With every flutter of his lashes came booming thunder that rattled bones and casted fear into the hearts of the strongest.
He touched me and I felt myself melt from the inside out, stripping my soul bare and vulnerable for his eyes to see.
He peeled back the layers surrounding my heart with bruised fingers and watched with apathy as it fell from its cage, wriggling and weeping for a love that never existed from the beginning.
Eden Brass was nothing, everything, and whatever existed between. He was my reckoning and my salvation. He taught me what love was and then taught me what it felt like to have it ripped from the cracks in my grip. He was my sun, my moon, my stars, my tears, my laughs, my screams-- he just was. He dug two graves and laid fearlessly in one, coaxing me into the other with soft coos and warm gazes, burying me with the toxin under his tongue and the greed tucked into the crevices of his fingernails.
It wasn't until I was alone, shrouded in darkness, did my eyes open to what was left behind me, in the wake of a one-sided love that only fools feed into.
But I knew if I had to the chance to go back in time, I would do it all over again.
