The couple shared a laugh as they sat across from each other, they're hands were connected across the table as they chattered away. In front of them was a plate of sushi rolls and different appetizers they had tried while waiting for their rolls to come.
"It's okay, if you don't know how to use chopsticks, I can help you." She assured him, watching him try to hold the chopsticks. Suddenly a frown broke out on Scott's face and Imogen furrowed her brows at the sudden change in emotions. "What's wrong? We can always go somewhere else if you don't want to eat sushi."
"No it's not that." He sighed, even if he couldn't figure out how to hold the sticks. "I don't want to ruin this." He said, referring to their date. It was the first time in a while that they were alone.
She gave his hand a soft squeeze. "Scott, if something is bothering you, you can tell me." She said softly.
He pursed his lips, his shoulders slumping slightly. "It's just this whole true alpha thing. I don't really know if I'm cut out for this. I don't even know what I'm doing half the time. I mean, what does it mean to be an alpha? Every alpha we've met has been power hungry and tried to kill all of us." He exhaled. "What if I become like Deucalion or Peter?"
Her blue eyes shined. "You're not going to become like them. You didn't become a true alpha by killing someone. They did. You don't want kill people right?" She asked and he shook his head. "You aren't out seeking revenge or trying to be a dictator, right?" Again he shook his head and she smiled at him. "You're going to make mistakes, Scott but that's the thing, no one is going to know how to be the perfect leader or alpha. I love you but you aren't perfect and neither am I. You're not going to have the answer to everything and that's okay."
"I'm just... scared." He confessed, his eyes glistening. "What if I turn someone or make the wrong choice and someone dies."
"You're not alone." She assured him firmly, squeezing his hand. "You have me and everyone else to help you make these choices. Even if you do end up turning someone, we both know that you'd only ever do it if their lives were in danger."
He sighed. "You're right." He muttered, but they both knew that it would be a while before he would get comfortable with being in such a high position as an alpha. He never asked for it just like he hadn't asked to be a werewolf. But, she was right. He was going to make mistakes but at the end of the day, he was still human.
"Is there anything else I can get you?" The waitress asked, smiling at them, glancing between the two though her eyes lingered on Scott who was oblivious except for Imogen.
The tension from their conversation gone. "We're fine." Imogen said plainly in a blunt tone and the waitress pursed her lips before nodding and walking away. "You really seem to be attracting a lot of girls lately." She muttered, picking up her chopsticks and ate a sushi roll.
Scott couldn't stop the smile tugging at his lips as he stared at her in amusement. "You're cute when your jealous." He mused, enjoying the way her eyes narrowed at him and she huffed.
She looked away. "It really isn't fun watching my boyfriend get flirted with by two pretty girls."
He grabbed her hand that was holding the chopsticks. It was obvious that she was still upset about the whole Kira thing and now this waitress. "Im, you're the only girl I see." He admitted softly, which was true.
Her cheeks flushed as she dropped the chopsticks she had been holding as he laced their fingers together. "Why do you have to say things like that?" She muttered, there was fluttering in her chest at the way he looked at her.
He smiled, that smile that always made her heart swell because he only looked at her like that. He could hear her heart skip a beat and loved that he was the only person who could get a reaction like that out of her. "Because I love you."
"I love you too." Her blue eyes flickering to him and down to his lips, really wanting to kiss him.
"I really want to kiss you right now." He admitted in a low whisper. The food in front of them long forgotten.
She smiled shyly. "I want to kiss you too."
He was ready to get up and sit next to her so he could kiss her but her grip on his hand tightened. "What's wrong?" He saw the frown on her lips and her face pale slightly. He started to get worried.
Don't let him...
Stop him...
He's going to-
She heard briefly in her mind and got flashes of images in her mind. They were blurry and hard to see but, there was only one face she could make out.
It was Kira who had glowing orange eyes.

The car pulled to a screech and the pair got out of the car, they were surprised to find Stiles and Lydia getting out of the jeep that also pulled up.
Stiles stared at his best friend equally shocked. "How did you find out?" He asked.
"Imogen. The ancestors showed her that Kira was in danger because of her glowing eyes. Barrow might be after her." Scott rushed out, glancing at his girlfriend and Lydia who were telling each other how they found out. "You?"
"There was a message on the board for Barrow to kill Kira." Stiles told him. "Can you hear if she's home?"
Scott focused his hearing on the inside of the house and could only make out two heartbeats. "There's only two people home."
"Guys." Imogen trailed, picking up the necklace on the floor. It was the one the pendant that Kira wore to school today. They realized that they had gotten there too late and now Barrow had the new girl. Though they didn't know where he could've take her. Imogen couldn't use her own tracking spell because Kira was too far away and she didn't have a map on hand to use the other spell.
"I just called Allison and she hasn't found anything." Lydia said with a heavy sigh. "I knew he was there. How did I know that?"
Stiles stared at her, seeing the frustration on her face. "Because you heard the flies, right?"
Scott looked at her. "What do you hear now?"
She could feel their staring as she tried to listen. "Nothing." She exhaled, clenching her fists. "I feel like I can do this. But I don't know what to do. It's like it's on the tip of my tongue, and I don't know how to trigger it. I just I swear to God, it literally makes me want to scream."
Stiles thought back on how banshees screamed to signal a death to come and pursed his lips. Hoping that his idea might work. "Okay, then scream. Lydia, scream."
Scott winced and Imogen flinched at the sound. The banshee looked up at the at the lamp post, realizing what she had been hearing was wrong. "It's not flies." She gasped. "It's electricity."
"Wait a second, Barrow was an electrical engineer." Stiles revealed. "He worked at a power substation."
Imogen looked at him. "What substation?"

Imogen tried to catch up with Scott but with his werewolf speed he was able to run a lot faster than her. So, that left her alone in the somewhat dark substation as she searched for him. The moment they had arrived, Scott had bolted out of the car to make sure that Barrow didn't kill Kira.
She yelped when someone grabbed her shoulder. "It's just me." Stiles told her, raising his hands in surrender while holding his bat.
The witch huffed. "What the hell, Stiles." She muttered, trying to calm down and eyed the metal object in his hand. "Why do you have a bat?"
"That's not important. I need you to come with me." He said, there was a change in his tone that she didn't notice but followed him nonetheless, thinking that he might know where Scott was.
Her memory completely blanked when he grabbed her wrist and started pulling her behind him.
The ancestors hadn't been warning her about Barrow. They were warning her against the nogitsune that was residing inside Stiles and who was planning on using Kira's and Imogen's power to start up his own.
Stiles had a glazed look in his eyes as he turned to Imogen as they stood right where he could get access to the power that Kira was about to release.
She started chanting under her breath while grabbing his face and the nogitsune slowly started to gain more and more control over the teenager he was tied to. It was then the electricity that the young kitsune burst out, made the young witch strong enough to do this.
Thankfully, some of his power had managed to slip into the witch and he could control her whenever he wanted. He could also use her as a power source until he had his own body and got rid of that nuisance Noshiko. He was sure that the only reason she was in town was to seal him away again. He refused to let that happen again.
Slowly, he could feel himself gaining control over this humans body. He would've chosen the alphas or the witches body but, he knew well enough that Noshiko would send her oni friends to come looking for him. And the first place they would search is the supernaturals.
No one would ever suspect Stiles.
The poor boy.
He could hear his screaming in the back of his mind as he opened his eyes. He pushed the boy away and looked at the young witch who finished the spell.
Her blue eyes staring blankly ahead. He obviously couldn't let her remember any of this. Gently caressing her cheek, he blocked her memories of this moment and took the time to lock his own powers within her away in case the oni check her. He couldn't afford those oni to ruin his fun in the future. He also took some of her power while he was at it.
He planned on creating as much chaos as he could before everyone found out that he was possessing Stiles.
He watched as her eyes tiredly fluttered shut and caught her in his arms, ready to start playing the part of the worried best friend.
It was a good thing that he had been able to access all of Stiles memories and studied the boy's behavior while he had been biding his time.
Scott appeared looking a tad pale and freaked out, his eyes landed on the girl in his arms. "What happened?" He burst out, immediately grabbing Imogen from his arms and checked her for any injuries.
Stiles put on his mask of concern and told the true alpha a fake story of how Imogen was shocked by the electricity that had burst out and knocked her out. The true alpha had immediately rushed her over to the paramedics who checked her over.
He had to hide his smirk when they were all being taken to the police station to be questioned since Barrow was dead and from what the alpha told him, it was because Kira had some unknown abilities that allowed her to control electricity. The baby kitsune was off to the side, watching them with cautiously, obviously wondering if any of them were going to say anything about what she did.
He almost laughed. No one would suspect that it was him who had led Barrow here in the first place. At least not for a while.
The young witch had woken up and lucky for him, she seemed to believe the story he had told Scott and had no memory that it was with her help that he now had control over this body. Even the banshee didn't take notice of the fact that he was possessing the human who was head over heels in love with her.
They all really were so gullible.
