The Mask

I wear this mask making everyone believe I'm ok but inside I'm dying. Crying begging for it to end.
The pain in my heart just won't go away no matter how hard I try.
The things I once did don't matter as much anymore.
The people I once loved moved on left me to rot.
I probably deserved it for what's it worth but at least they won't have to see my brokenness inside of me the emptiness in my eyes.
The holes in which my heart carries around wherever I go.
The burdens heavy upon my back. God why does it have to be this way. What are you trying to say.
Will I be ok or will I continue to rot as the pain takes over every aspect of my life.
Will people laugh when I die and say it was better anyway without her around.
It's bound to be up upon this mound I sit and ponder.
The tears falling like a flood.
No you will not see me this way so I will wear a mask so that even I can fool myself into believing I'm truly happy.
