The laughter of the lunatics resonates against those cold walls, the giggles and snickers echoes my pounding ear drums. I want the darkness to become me, but I’m already there.

I now close my eyes; I hear the footsteps coming here in a rush. I don’t know what he would do, but this time I might not be awake to see it.
