This oneshot takes place at the end of Neverseen, right before Keefe kissed Sophie. the part up until the kiss is copy/paste from Neverseen, so Shannon Messenger wrote the first half, not me. Enjoy!
"So . . . do you want to come over, then?" She asked, fidgeting with the necklace he'd given her. "I thought I might try to make starkflower stew to give to Calla's tree—and I know that sounds super exciting, but . . . you can make fun of me. And then you could stay for dinner, and—"
"Foster, you don't have to take care of me."
"Maybe I just like you," she said— then realized how that sounded. "I'm just . . . worried about you."
Keefe stepped closer. "I know. It's one of the things I like about you."
Her stomach filled with fluttering things, which flitted around even more when she noticed how close they were now standing. The toes of their boots were almost touching, and his breath felt warm on her cheeks.
He leaned in a tiny bit closer, and just when Sophie didn't think he was going to, he kissed her.
It was gentle, which Sophie didn't expect, much less did she expect for him to kiss her. The warmth spread from her lips, staying at her cheeks and then continuing throughout her body.
He pulled away, then scooped her up, bridal style.
She gave a little yelp, and Sandor burst from his post and into the field were they were standing.
He looked at Sophie in Keefe's arms, then returned to his post, not a word uttered.
Then, much to Sandor's dismay, Keefe pulled out a crystal and yelled, "Calla's Panakes!"

They arrived at the magnificent tree in a heap. It was awkward at first, like any other first kiss. Calla looked as good as ever, with all of her petals lying besides them.
Sophie just couldn't believe he had kissed her. I didn't think he liked me that way. She thought.
She looked at Keefe, who had a little smirk—no— a smile on his face. She wondered what he was thinking. I kissed Sophie Foster!
Keefe then noticed Sophie with a maroon blush on her face, then realized what happened.
"You read my mind!"
Sophie just blushed more. "Umm . . . Yeah." She mumbled.
"Did you like what you saw, Foster?" He said with a mischievous smile and one eyebrow raised.
Sophie just lay there. "Keefe, why did you kiss me?"
Keefe replied, "because you're beautiful, smart, sweet, and . . . I really like you. You . . . you were so oblivious, so I had to do something."
"Keefe, you did the right thing. I just realized something."
"What?"
"I like you too."
Keefe broke the silence.
"I always figured it would end up like this, you know."
Sophie, curiosity piqued, replied; "what do you mean?"
"You and me," he said with a smirk, "boyfriend and girlfriend, sitting here after our first kiss."
Sophie then blushed and practically yelled, "I'm not your girlfriend!"
"Well theres an easy way to settle that, right Foster?"
Sophie, with visible confusion, again asked "what do you mean?"
"Sophie . . . will you go out with me?"
With a smile she said, "Of course Keefe."
