-Max's POV-
I stared into space, taking a sip of my coffee now and then. Nikki and Neil chattered about something, i dont know what though because i wasn't exactly paying attention. After what felt like 5 seconds of spacing out (it was seven minutes-) Neil tapped my shoulder "uH max, were you paying attention.?" He asked, sounding slightly annoyed. But still a nerd. "Nope, not a fucking moment of attention" i shrugged, taking another long sip of my coffee. Neil grumbled something under his breath "well, Max , Nicky and I were discussing about how we should go explore the camp a bit when we get free time. I asked if you agreed with that. But no respond from you, obviously" he stated. Truthfully, I started losing what he was saying after the first sentence "yeah sure whatever" I scoffed, not really caring aS per usual. "Yay!" Nikki cheered
I rolled my eyes at her enthusiasm. Neil started bickering about sciencey or nerdy stuff-again. This coffee wasn't giving me enough caffeine or something because I still wanted to sleep for the next five days.

It was now lunch time. Yay, probably poisoned food. Absolutely fucking delicious. I walked through the doors, getting food from the quartermaster. It honestly looked like shit. I sat by Neil and across from Nikki "Hiiii maaaaax!" She smiled, shoveling a spoonful of food in her mouth.
"You literally saw me before we fucking entered this shit hole of a food resort" I said, rolling my eyes
"yeah but- uh- hi anyways?" Neil said, god he was such a nerd. You could tell by the way he talked and he even looked like a nerd- fuck im staring. I look away "hi then." I scoffed "happy now?" I raised an eyebrow
"yeah" neil nodded akwardly. He didnt have any food with him. Must've not been hungry I guess.
Nikki, on the other hand, had already finished her grub and was asking for mine "go ahead" I said, confused on how she could eat this shit.
She took my tray, eating the food. Neil looked akward- like how he got here. I assume hes just always like that.
(neiLs PoV)
I was staring into space, I wasnt hungry. Hell- I wasnt tired either. I looked at Max, he was staring at me? He seemed to have noticed and looked away. Huh- thats the second time I thought he was staring at me.. Weirrd.
