"BOOM! That's another one." Sean said triumphantly as he landed the ball into the cup. "You boys have no chance. Too much skill over here."
Julian rolled his eyes as he drank from his beer. "Okay, okay, Sean, you're great at everything. We get it."
He smirked as Julian and Noah took their turns when he noticed something that made his stomach drop.
The mere sight of Kenneth dancing with Kailani.
"Sean!" Josh yelled in his ear, breaking him out of his intense stare. "It's our turn."
He shook his head, trying to ignore the anger building up in him.
You said no drama with Ken, Sean, just calm down, he thought to himself as he took his shot.
Missed.
"HA! What happened to all that skill, Mr. Big Shot?" Noah teased Sean as Josh missed his shot as well.
"Funny, Mr. No Balls." Sean shot back, shooting him a fake smile. He couldn't help but glance over at Kailani in the midst of taking his turn.
Missed again.
But he didn't care because he noticed that Kenneth had placed a hand on her waist without Kailani noticing. She was too busy dancing to the fast paced beat of the loud music.
Sean clenched his fist and felt his jaw tighten.
"Sean, are you good?" Josh asked, looking a bit concerned. Sean shook himself from his trance again and looked at his friend.
You're fine, Sean.. don't make a scene, he mentally scolded himself.
"I'm fine." he said, forcing a smile. He drank from his beer as Julian made his shot in to avoid having to answer anymore questions from Josh.
"Alright.." he said, uncertainly. He shot his ball and Sean used that moment to sneak a quick peek again at Kailani.
Oh, hell no.
Now both of Kenneth's hands were on her waist and Sean watched in anger as he spun Kailani around and danced on her from behind, swaying her to the beat slowly yet seductively.
Before she could even react to what Kenneth was doing, Sean stomped over to where they were and pulled his arm away from her waist harshly.
"What the hell?" Kenneth shouted, yanking his arm away from Sean's grip.
"Sean.." Kailani said worriedly, concerned about the furious look in his eyes.
He looked into her eyes, which were somehow telling him to stay calm, but he couldn't. His blood was boiling.
He knew all that talk about not having feelings for Kailani anymore was bullshit.
"Can I talk to you outside?" was the only thing Sean could manage to say in the calmest voice he could find inside himself.
Kenneth looked confused but slowly nodded, beginning to lead them out to the front yard.
Kailani sighed, gripping onto Sean's arm before he could follow him. "Sean, please.."
He shook his head, averting his gaze from her eyes. "Just stay here, okay? I said no drama so I'm going to try to keep to what I said."
She didn't reply, just continued to look at him with a worried look on her face.
"Babe, I'm fine. Just stay here and let me handle this." he said, leaning down and kissing her on the forehead.
Her demeanor changed and she nodded softly, letting go of his arm. He gave her one last look of reassurance before turning around to follow Kenneth. He saw him around the porch area by the bushes, hands stuffed into his pockets.
"Dude—" Kenneth began before Sean simply held up a hand to signal him to be quiet.
"Nope, you don't get to talk. Just shut up." he sneered. He quickly felt the anger that had always been inside him begin to build again the longer he stood in front of the latter.
Kenneth didn't argue and just looked down, stuffing his hands deeper inside his pockets.
"You lied to me, you still have feelings for her." he said bluntly, staring at him dead in the eye.
Kenneth scoffed, looking at him incredulously. "What?! No, I don't."
Sean almost had the nerve to laugh in his face, but he was too angry. "By the way you were just dancing with her, I call bullshit."
He paused, unsure of what to say back. Kenneth didn't know what came over him. He just knew that he wanted to make a move regardless of what her and Sean had. Because in all honesty, he still hadn't gotten over what Sean had told him that day at immaSPACE.

Kenneth looked at him in disbelief. "You know what, Sean? Tati was right. You are full of shit. She deserves better than you."
"Like who? You?" he asks, smirking. "You really think 7 minutes in fucking heaven was gonna win her over? Make her pick you over me? You're fucking delusional, dude."
Kenneth felt his body shake with anger as he clenched his fists tightly. "You're a fucking prick, Lew."
"Yeah? But I'm still the one she wants. And you? You're nothing to her. Just some guy who wants someone he can't have. Pathetic."

Kenneth shook his head at the infuriating memory and looked up at Sean.
"Why the fuck does it matter, Sean?" he retaliated, taking a step towards him. Sean didn't move and continued to stare him down. "You already won Beauchamp's stupid bet so you can stop acting like you care about her and that you've changed. We all know you're still that cocky asshole."
Sean stared at him, his expression nothing short of enraged. "I love her."
"No, you don't," Kenneth challenged, taking another step towards him. "Because if you did love her, you would've never bet to get her to fall madly in love with you to keep Beauchamp from stealing your precious fucking spotlight." he nearly spat, unable to contain his anger any longer.
Sean couldn't take it anymore. He pulled back his balled-up fist and nearly swung when he heard a quiet voice behind him.
"It was all for a bet?"
He whipped around and saw Kailani standing behind him, staring at him incredulously.
"Tell me it's not true, Sean.." she said quietly, not breaking her gaze from his eyes for even a second.
He stayed quiet, unable to form words. The longer no one said a word, the more lightheaded he began to feel. It felt like an eternity for the both of them.
"I.. I can't.." he breathed out.
And that was all she needed to hear before running back into the house.

"Kai!" Sean yelled, following her into the house and down towards the basement. "Please, wait."
She didn't bother turning around and quickly walked over to her stuff, packing everything up and tossing Sean's clothes out of her bag. "No, leave me alone." she said, her voice almost emotionless.
"Kailani, please, just let me explain." he begged, following her as she began her walk back up the stairs.
"No, I don't want to hear anything you have to say, Sean." she nearly yelled, continuing up the stairs. She pushed past all the party goers and opened the front door with Sean at her heel.
It felt like a million hammers had come crashing down on Kailani's heart. She felt betrayed and dumb for believing that any of it was real. A big part of her didn't want to believe it to save herself from the pain of the lies and deceit. The first boy she'd ever fallen in love with and it all started as a bet. Everything they went through, all the things he said..
Was any of it real? Was I just one of the girls that he played?
She wanted to scream and cry and the only person who could make it better was the person responsible for her pain.
"Kailani, please, just hear me out." Sean begged again, his voice clearly on the verge of tears. In a desperate attempt, he grabbed her arm and pulled her back.
"DO NOT FUCKING TOUCH ME." she exploded, ripping her arm from his grip. It was then that she decided to break down, tears non-stop rolling down her face.
Luckily, no one else was in the yard to witness the two arguing.
Sean quickly backed away, but still wanted nothing more than to just hold her in that very moment. "Kai, please, you have to understand. It's not like how it sounds."
"Oh, really?" Kailani asked in disbelief, almost laughing at his statement. "Because how it sounds is that our fucking relationship was built on a bunch of fucking lies. Did you even actually like me? Was everything you fucking told me a lie?"
"Of course, I actually liked you!!" Sean shouted. "And no, absolutely not!"
"I was just one of them, wasn't I? Just another girl you were fucking around with?" she asked, her fists curling into little balls. "All that 'you've changed me' bullshit you said to me and it was all just part of some game to get me to like you, huh? How many other girls have you said it to, huh, Sean?!" she yelled, unable to contain her anger.
"No, Kai, you have to believe me when I say that everything was real. I swear. Please just let me—"
"God, Sean!" Kailani interrupted, completely hysterical at this point. "You said you loved me! We had sex! What the fuck is that?!"
"No, Kai, I swear, I meant it like hell when I told you I loved you!" Sean quickly said. "I swear, please just give me a chance to be honest!"
Kailani forced a laugh, still in disbelief. "You had this entire fucking time to be honest. What makes you think you deserve a chance now for me to let you be honest?" she scoffed.
"Just let me explain.. please." he begged desperately, tears beginning to roll down his own face. He could see the sadness and pain in her eyes and it killed him knowing that he caused that. "Kai, please, I love you so fucking much, just let me explain."
"No.." she said simply. "I can't even look at you right now."
"Kai, I'm telling you right now, everything was real to me.. Yes, that's how everything started but I promise you, I wasn't pretending when it came to my feelings for you." he said as he took a couple steps towards her, desperate to hug her.
She quickly stepped back, shaking her head. "No, I don't even know if I can believe you now. God, you were the person I trusted most in this world and now everything is different. I can't see you the same.. not now, not ever."
"Please, Kai, I swear on my life, this was all real." he said, trying to ignore the fact that his heart was slowly breaking into little pieces.
Kailani stayed silent for a couple seconds, taking a deep breath to calm her fast beating heart.
"No... this was all a mistake." she said slowly, her voice cold.
And that was all it took for the final stab in Sean's heart, completely shattering it with the pieces sinking to the bottom of his stomach.
"Now, please, just leave me the fuck alone." she breathed out, sighing shakily as she walked away from him.
He didn't bother following her.
