Dear fellow Wattpader, Reader, Writer, dear fellow Dreamer,

we are all chasing our dreams, our goals, our desires, and I need your help to achieve mine. My name is Katarina, I am 21 years old and I study Comparative literature and Literary Theory – or what others call – a study without any future.

All I ever wanted and still want is to become a writer, but in order to achieve that, I need to publish something, I need to hold art that I created and cried over, and almost gave up on, but at the end came through, – in my hands. I will be honest with you, - I have no other dreams, I will most likely not get a job, and I cannot publish this story in my own country, and...writing is all I can do and I have no idea what I will do if I don't succeed.

My professors believe that whoever chooses not to write in our language – is a traitor of our language. Well, call me whatever you want. I am nothing but grateful to have found this internet site for writers, as I am sure most of you are too, and if I had to write in English in order for my voice to be heard, than so be it. Humanity had always spoken of a universal language that will connect the world, and they still do...but the way I see it, - the language already exists, it's called English.

At first I wanted to write in my own language, but we do not have the sites in Slovenia for that. I have entered some of my short stories in Slovenian in a few contest, but they got me nowhere. And then I started writing in English...And not only had I found my 'writing voice', it got me somewhere. My story – Drop Dead Gorgeous, was listed among the top Teen Fiction and Romance stories for quite a few time, and that made me extremely happy. Finally, I got something.

However, now I need your help to run that few meters towards the finish line. You have already given me so much by reading, commenting and voting, and as someone who probably shares your dream of becoming a writer, I'm asking you to help me get this story published by winning an award.

Hot Key Books is hosting a contest called Young Writers Prize. It helps young writers, like myself, to get published by wining their contest. In order to do that I must achieve the highest amount of votes on the first chapter of this story.

Here is where I need you guys to help me: The contest starts 17. August. 2014 and ends 13. September. 2014 – this is called the Voting Period. All the votes I have so far DO NOT count, only those that I will get in this voting period will, and only on the First Chapter.

You can help me to achieve my dream by pressing that little button with a star on it, on my First Chapter – His Secret, in that voting period (17.August -13.September).

I thank you for all you have done for me and my story in the past year and a half, I honestly worked my ass off for this book, still am, and I'm trying to write new ones.

We all dream of the impossible, and I need you to make it possible.

So my friends, let us not despair, let us not fall down when things get hard, rise up, get up, imagine and write.

Respectfully Yours,

K. R. Tramell
