the seven boys stared at the man confused
"stop staring i'm introducing myself" xiumin told them with a scoff and mark cleared his throat "nice to meet you sir, i'm mark, that's renjun, jeno, donghyuck, jaemin, chenle and jiaung" mark pointed each one of them and they waved at xiumin with a smile.
"aw cuties~ this room isn't safe anymore, thanks to you guys but eh just follow me" xiumin motioned to them and they all left the room.
the doors closed with a loud thud and xiumin chained it with a lock, his hands glowing a sapphire blue aura.
minseok walked with a subtle and gleeful smile playing in his lips as the younger ones followed him curiously yet excited. it reminded him of a lot of things in the past, at least, it helped him remember some things.
he led them up the stairs walking onto and endless maze till he turned to check on them, only to find out they've given up a few floors below.
"yah! we're still not there!" he called out to them with a chuckle and they all groaned "xiumin hyung we can't go on any further!" "i can't feel my legs!" "i'm tiiiiiiiired!" they complained making xiumin giggle at how adorable they looked down below, sat down and pouting on the floor.
he was spoiling them but he couldn't take in their cute faces anymore so he lifted them all up and they all glowed blue slowly floating up.
he slightly raised his hand and twirled it so the spell won't fade out. he walked up the stairs with the seven boys floating randomly behind.
"jisung stop bumping me!" "what!? no you stop bumping me!" "jeno come back here!" "i don't know how!" "children children calm down your asses we're here" minseok told them and they shushed.
minseok stared at the door with uncertain emotions but he knew what he had to do.
he placed his free hand on the indented hand print, the metallic plate on top of the handprint wrote his name and glowed blue along with all indented patterns across the door.
the doors opened and viewed a blinking light making them all gasp. books, scrolls and papyruses were perfectly in stocked on the shelves. a couple more books and scrolls floated around the place randomly wandering. it was a whole world in one library, no ends and no measure of distance.
the entire place was the universe's view looking around, it was like you're in space, seeing millions of stars, different planets and other heavenly debris. looking up was the same view of the universe too endless high for anything to reach, glowing green vines we're cascading down like ropes of christmas lights for it held colorful fireflies that lit up the place.
it all looked like a dream
" whoa- oOF! " " OW! " they all groaned as minseok dropped them on the floor
" now kids don't try breaking anything- " " shit! a shark! " donghyuck scuddled away afraid and bumped a pedestal making a couple of books fall on the floor
" this is amazing! " they gasped adoring the view of the ocean as they crawled on the floor " it's like we're stepping on water! " " will the glass break? i can't swim " " i don't want to be fish food either "
minseok laughed like he found it as a joke " glass? the floor is literally the ocean, don't worry you won't fall, think of it as a normal floor "
" i can't think of it as a normal floor when that shark ia definitely planning to eat me for lunch " donghyuck gulped as the shark below slowly swam and circled around him under. minseok snapped his fingers and the shark rapidly swam away
" phew, thank you " " you're welcome, now you all are here, what is it you plan? " renjun stood up and cleared his throat
" xiumin hyung, if it isn't a huge deal to ask, we were hoping you could help us " " hm? " minseok asked him as if he didn't understand what he's saying
" this thing we have going on with the worlds- " " i have nothing to do with anything going on with the three worlds. i've been living in ephemeral for a long time, the last time i've helped it all failed. i don't know how i can help you. i should live how i'm supposed to be, i don't care if dreams nor reality is falling apart, i'm apart from all worlds " minseok told renjun sadly
" but hyung, we really don't know what to do and we need help, we came a long way mindless of how we'll face this. much more with the real problem, we really need your guidance even just a little would
help " mark pleaded the older and he saw how much eagerness the boy's eyes held
he really did want to help them in anyway he can but he must forget what was the past. he have created a mistake before and as a punishment, he lost the only family he'd ever known. he doesn't want to make the same mistake again and he surely don't want the seven young boys in front of him now to experience the same pain they all have been in
" you have a chance to turn your back and live normally. away from scars, away from pain. i'm giving all of you that chance now " he told them serious and they looked at each other
" life and death, dreams, reality, nightmares. you can forget all of this ever happened, live in peace in your worlds and save yourselves from tragic memories and forgotten death. now choose " minseok's eyes flashed a sapphire blue, uncertain emotions clung up to him and it made him feel restless.
he was trying to persuade them, make them turn back, trying to save them before it's too late. he can see all of them has a life they want to live out. he wanted them to be free and away from harm.
the seven boys thought of it and they knew they really wanted to go back, even with the courage they showed up with, they were beyond afraid and lost of hope. they were just normal teenagers after all. young and foolish. they can't face this challenge set up for them. and they had other things they wanted to live for
" i won't turn back, i'm staying and i will fight " mark stepped up and walked towards minseok
" sure i have a life and a future in reality, sure i am afraid, sure i'm too young, sure i'm a fool. but i stand up for what's right and my conscience can't handle other people getting hurt. if this is the only was things will get better, i can and i will sacrifice anything for my friends and anyone else. i've gotten this far, i'm slowly finding myself, i don't want to go back and live like a coward " mark spoke up
he was different. they all are. mark was selfless and brave, he'd think of others before he thinks about himself. that's one thing even minseok can't stop him from
mark's honest words snapped them all in realization. they were afraid, but they also want to fight for what they believe for
" i'm not giving up either " donghyuck went beside mark along with renjun. each one of them stood side by side. they only have each other after all
minseok felt a burning hope inside, they won't fail, their hearts are the strongest amongst those who have tried even them. they're fighting not just for themselves but for each other and others. they were all strong
minseok locked eyes with mark and smiled. the boy's eyes held so much courage and optimist. a leader. he reminded minseok of someone
" i have faith in you all. i will help
you " he told them and they all grinned tackiling minseok in a hug. he chuckled going soft for the younger ones " alright boys let's get to reading " " awwwww "

" they look good together " donghyuck complemented " they also look so happy " jaemin said sadly as they walked through a little gallery of the two lovers' paintings, sighting each happy memories of the two young rulers

they look good together, and seem to be really happy with each other, it's sad tragic things had happen to them. it made jaemin upset and curious that he just had to ask " what happened to them? "

" they look so cute together it makes me feel so alone! " donghyuck said making jaemin snap from his thoughts and smirk " oh mark hyung- " " sHUT UP NANA OR YOU'LL DIE THIS VERY MOMENT! " donghyuck tackled jaemin, harshly wrapping his arm around his neck and pushing him down
jaemin laughed even though donghyuck was already choking him near his death, looking at the two earned a glare from mark and jeno
minseok rolled his eyes " yeah yeah they're uwu but me and chen are much more uwu " " who's chen? " renjun asked and minseok stopped for a moment
" i.... honestly can't remember..... " he closed his eyes looking down sadly " but he's an important part of my past, i believe..... anyway let's go back to searching "
the day passed and they were all still wandering around the lone library
" you guys look tired, let's take a break " minseok told them softly and they all collapsed on the ground sighing of exhaustion
