After everybody left the meeting I pondered over Beatrice's question. How am I gonna set up a meeting with Mr.Queen?
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has wanted to partner up with Queen Corporation but nobody has ever succeeded in ever meeting Mr.Queen at least not to my knowledge.
I quickly dial a number on my phone and wait for the person on the other line to pick up
"Mr.King what is it this time." Evan my private investigator greeted with a gruff voice.
"Get me any type of contact with Mr.Queen or any staff in Queen Corporation with a high enough position to know Mr.Queen."
"C'mon Adonis I thought you were over your obsession of trying to find this Mr.Queen," he said more casually this time.
"Just do as you're told if you succeed with this then I double your pay."
"Fine but don't get your hopes up. You know I'm the best at what I do and even for me it's impossible to get any information on him."
A beep is followed after that notifying me that he hung up.
After the phone call, I get myself ready to go home because I honestly don't have any energy to fuck anybody right now. I just hope I get even a little snippet of information.
When I arrive home I immediately notice that the lights are on and that a familiar car is parked on my lot.
Good thing I didn't bring a girl home today or else that would be another long talk.
As I enter my house I am quickly greeted by my parents more specifically my mother who jumped in my arms and my dad just smiling at the scene playing in front of him.
"Oh dear you're finally home we've been here for hours you shouldn't overwork yourself how are you gonna be healthy enough to give me my grandbabies." my mom says genuinely worried.
"Mama, how many times do I have to tell you I don't want to settle down yet okay?"I say annoyed but still happy that my parents are here.
"And how many times do I have to tell you that I'm not getting any younger."
"Dear give our son some space you're gonna end up strangling the boy, and do not over exaggerate we have only been here for an hour and you know that you'll always be young to me."My dad says giving me a pat on the back.
"Yeah because you're older than me you old man."My mom retorts back.
"Not that I'm not happy you guys are here but why are you here?" They usually only come on special occasions.
"Well you have made no intention of visiting us so we took it as an opportunity to visit you and your father wanted to talk to you about some business stuff." my mom says heading over to the living room with me and my dad following right behind her.
You see my mom knows nothing about what we do I mean she knows that it's some type of business but other than that she is clueless. When her and my dad married she was just a farm girl who moved to the city whilst my dad just got handed the company by my grandfather so she doesn't know a thing but it's not like she cares, as long as we're not doing anything illegal she's okay with it.
"Oh dear you must be famished I'll whip up something for dinner so we can have a meal as family again maybe we can invite your brother."my mom said looking hopeful that we can have a full family meal but I don't really think that's gonna happen I don't even know if my brothers in the country.
My mom quickly grabbed her phone out of her purse which I'm assuming is to call my brother and headed to the kitchen.
Me and my dad then seated on the couch and started talking about business stuff as my mom put it.
"So son I see we're still in second place for another year." A hint of disappointment but understanding came from my dad because he knew what it was like to go against Queen Corporation."Do you have a plan to beat them."
"Dad I do have a plan but it's not to beat them. I wanna partner up with them."
My dad looked at me with disbelief and looked at me like I was crazy then suddenly burst out laughing.
"Good one son I really needed to have a laugh."He stopped laughing once he saw that I was dead serious about this.
"Son you can't be serious. You don't think I've tried to do that when I was at your position? It's impossible to even catch a glimpse of Mr.Queen what makes you think he would even agree to meet up with you."
"Dad I know this idea is far fetched but think about how powerful we would be if we partner up with them."
"IF you partner up with the son this isn't gonna be easy but I believe in you. You've always had a thing for doing the impossible."
His last sentence made me think back to when I was handed this business. I remember our company almost declaring bankruptcy that's how bad it was.
Apparently, my dad got an old college girlfriend pregnant but he never knew. Until one day the woman wanted him to be a part of her son's life.
In other words, the woman found out that my dad was rich so she used her son to get some.
So I and my brother are actually half brothers but my mom doesn't really care she treats him like if he was her own son.
Me, on the other hand, was not that accepting at first. I mean imagine being in your teens and you find out you have a brother you never knew about. It's not as bad now, we are pretty good I mean we're not as close as most brothers are but I guess we try to keep up with each other when we have time.
Since there was a lot of legal battle between my dad and that pathetic excuse of a woman my dad couldn't focus on the business that much and that's when everything started going downhill and then that's when I came in fresh out of high school and took over.
"Ahhhhhh!!!!!!" my mom's screaming pulled me out of memories of the past and me and my dad hurriedly ran to the kitchen to see my mom beaming from ear to ear.
"Mom what's wrong," I say worried trying to look if she was hurt anywhere.
"Oh no nothing is wrong why would anything be wrong I just received the greatest news."My mom says as if she wasn't just screaming her lungs out a minute ago.
"Then what is this great news you have my dear."My dad says with an amused smirk on his face probably finding his wife's antics amusing.
"Marco is in town and he says he'll be here in half an hour. Oh isn't this the greatest I can't remember the last time we've all sat and had a meal together. Oh gosh, I better start cooking I can't believe I've been spending all this time talking to you when I have to cook up the best dinner in half an hour."
While my mom hurriedly began rummaging through the kitchen I head to my room to change into more comfortable clothing and right when I was about to go back downstairs I get a phone call.

Private investigator Evan
"Fine but don't get your hopes up you know I'm the best at what I do and even for me, it's impossible to get any information on him.
After my conversation with Adonis, I immediately hang up and dial another number and wait for them to pick up.
"Hello," a soft and delicate voice greeted me.
"Ms.Queen we have a problem. It seems Mr.King has still not given up on finding information about you. What do you want me to do."
"Oh Adonis King, why is that man so caught up on trying to find out about me. Well, I think he's waited long enough I'll deal with it this time."
"Ok, ma'am is that all?"
"I will inform you that Mr.King will be calling you in a couple of hours or so and I want you to just go along with what he's saying and just agree with him, okay?"
"Yes, ma'am, "I say confused but agree nonetheless.
"Good job Evan expect your payment to be in your bank account in a couple of minutes.
With that, she hung up.
Yes, the Mr.Queen everybody is so curious about is actually a woman.
I'm one of the only people in this world that knows this information and I'd like to keep it that way.
The first time Ms.Queen contacted me I almost couldn't believe it. I was ready to tell all my clients that wanted information on her but when she proposed the idea of doubling every offer I've ever received to keep my mouth shut I haven't said a word and sworn to be loyal to her and also the fact that she could end my career with the snap of her fingers made me keep my mouth shut.
Even though I'm one of the very few people to know that Mr.Queen is actually a woman that's really all I know about her.I've never even met her in real life.
I don't know her age or any family members or past relationships nothing at all other than she's a woman which is crazy because I bet none of these businessmen have even thought of the idea of a woman beating them.
The only reason I'm sure that she's legit is because of the payment I receive and it is addressed from Queen Corporation every time as promised.
I am curious what she means when she said that he's waited long enough and how she'll deal with Mr.King.

I quickly pick up the call and hear the unfamiliar voice of a man.
"Hello is this Mr.Adonis King"
"Yes, it is may I ask who is speaking, "I say warily wondering how they got my number.
"This James Clayton Ms.Queens secretary will you be able to schedule a meeting with Ms.Queen tomorrow afternoon."
I couldn't believe it is this really happening I quickly pinch myself to see if this was a dream cause this was just too good to be true.
"Hello? Mr.King are you still there?"
"Oh ah yes I would be honoured to attend the meeting."
"Very well then I'll send the information to your secretary but I must advise you to go alone or else entrance is prohibited," he says in a very serious voice almost as if warning me.
He hangs up after that little warning and I can't contain my excitement.
I quickly call Evan to tell him what a great job he's done.
"Hello?" Evan answers.
"Good job Evan I honestly didn't think it was possible but you did it."
"Ahhh yah? I suppose I didn't I." Evan said sounding confused but I couldn't really focus on that now, nothing can bring down my good mood.
Just then the bell rings and I hear my mother screaming out of happiness.
"Okay man good job your cheque will be in your bank account I have to go."
I quickly hang up and head downstairs to greet my brother who I haven't seen for almost 2 years when he came and invited me to his art gallery.
I reach the bottom of the stairs and see my mom squeezing my brother to death while my dad just laughs at my brother's surprised face.
Marco finally spots me and manages to get out of my mother's death grip.
He walks up to me and pulls me into a bro hug which I return.
"Long time no see Lil bro."
