Ten asked his friends as he pushed open the door, holding it for the others to pass through. They shuffled outside, a few zipping up their coats from the slight chilled breeze. They hadn't had time to properly get ready since Yeona had given them only a few minutes to meet her. So they put on whatever clothing they could find and quickly made their way over to the girl, wondering what she had in store for Taeyong.
"I don't know, but I don't have a good feeling about it." Jungwoo said worriedly as he linked arms with an excited Sicheng.
"Well I have a great feeling about this," Haechan smirked, "I even brought my high definition 4k ultra camera that costs bajillions, to Yeona's request."
"Oh nice, I was going to bring mine but I totally forgot about it," Mark patted Haechan's back before reaching for his expensive camera. Haechan immediately leaned away from him and elbowed Mark in the stomach, stopping him from coming any closer.
"I don't get why you guys need to come along," Taeyong mumbled, watching his feet hit the gravel below him. He didn't know what Yeona had planned for him. But considering that she invited everyone and asked to bring something to capture the moment made him feel uneasy.
"Cause she said we can? And plus its been a whole two hours since I've seen her and I am not missing this opportunity." Johnny spoke up, he then started to pick up the pace, passing an anxious Taeyong.
"Oh I think that's her?" Taeil pointed ahead, lifting himself on his toes to get a better view.
Not too far from them were three picnic benches, all of them vacant but one. They could spot the girl sitting on top of the middle table, legs crossed and head down as she stared at her phone.
The group quickly approached the girl, slowing down when only a few feet away.
"Yo, Na!" Doyoung called out, making her head shoot up. Her eyes wandered to the boys not too far from her. Satisfied to see all ten of them, she smirked, stuffing her phone into her pocket.
"Nice, you guys actually came." Yeona said, a mischievous smile on her face as the guys dispersed out in front of her.
"Lets just get this over with," Taeyong took a step towards her and looked up at the suspicious girl, "What do you want me to do?"
Yeona carefully hopped off the table and stood in front of Taeyong. She then reached for her coat pocket, making a few of the boys panic.
"Oh my gad, do you have a gun?" Mark asked her frighteningly and hid behind Johnny in a blink of an eye. Johnny, however, looked back at Mark with shock written on his face, dumbfounded that he was using him as a human shield.
"No way it's obviously her taser gun, you really hate my boy that much?" Ten asked in exasperation, giving her a cold look. He was merely seconds away from pulling Taeyong back to safety.
"Why am I still friends with you guys..." Taeil groaned to himself, rubbing his temples before sighing.
Yeona snorted, rolling her eyes at the two, "No? I'm not going to kill him, geez. Okay well not physically."
She then slowly, and dramatically pulled out of her pocket, almost teasing the boys a bit.
"Oh wait... it's just a piece of paper?" Doyoung said questionably after she presented the folded paper to them, making them all raise their brows in confusion.
"Yes it is. So all Chai has to do is get on that table and read whatever I have written," Yeona explained, passing the white sheet to him.
Taeyong snatched the letter from her hand and skimmed through it, his expression slowly turning nervous, "Please tell me you're joking..."
"No, I'm pretty serious." Yeona deadpanned, giving him a innocent look.
Taeyong scoffed, "I am not saying this."
"Ah okay, it's fine. I'll just work with Jaehyun on my project alone..." Yeona sighed, reaching for the paper but he hastily retreated his hand back.
"F-Fine, but I'm only doing this just so you come, nothing else." Taeyong grumbled. He then pushed passed Yeona, stepping onto the table and faced towards his friends.
"Now make sure to speak loud and clear," Yeona instructed as she moved back. She stood between Doyoung, who immediately threw an arm around her, and Kun, who suddenly became extra quiet from her presence.
"Oh and look in the camera," Haechan smirked, getting the device set up and aimed towards him.
"I'm actually going to kill you guys after this." Taeyong muttered at them, giving them daggers. He then took a deep breath, preparing himself for the lengthy speech Yeona wrote down for him.
"And, action!"
"My name is Lee Taeyong–"
"Cut! You messed it up, start again." Yeona called out, signalling him to go again. He rolled his eyes before opening is mouth.
"...My name is Lee Teayong and I'm here to talk about the wonderful, talented and spontaneous human being... Lee Yeona."
A few of the boys started to snicker, making him look up at them and send a deathly glare before hesitating to continue.
"Yeona is a woman of many aspects. She's smart, pretty and has an... amazing personality. Overall, she's a total package, all the boys want her–"
"Preach! Tell em!" Johnny hollered out, throwing a fist in the air. Yeona held in a laugh, watching Taeyong shake his head miserably before proceeding again.
"In fact, she's even better than me. Between the two of us, she ranks first when it comes to looks and brains. I'm even... jealous... at how perfect she can be."
"Yeona why are you making him say this? He has no passion in his voice," Johnny complained, "I, on the other hand, would have taken this offer with no problem. I could have done it for free too you know."
"She's making him do this for blackmail, duh," Haechan spoke up, looking away from the camera screen for a second over to him, "We already know you'd pay her to say the goddamn speech."
"I have to say this is a great speech so far, well thought out and executed," Jungwoo praised her, "I personally don't really approve of this, but this does give Taeyong a good opportunity to practice his public speaking skills."
"This literally brightened up my day," Doyoung grinned, patting Yeona's head softly, "But not just mine, seems like others are enjoying this too."
They looked around to see a few girls in the distance, pointing and whispering to each other as they curiously watched the group. Even some had their phones out to record the whole ordeal, making Taeyong die a bit on the inside.
"Oh but it's not done yet," Yeona smirked, looking up at Taeyong, "Continue, the faster you get it done the faster you can leave."
Taeyong internally whined as the sheet in his hand crinkling under his touch while he slowly brought it back up to his view, "Yeona is a queen, one that I bow to every time I see her. And so, because of superiousness over me... wait is that even a real word?"
Yeona shook her head, "Just continue!"
"...I don't want to."
"Boy–"
"–I give her permission to hang out with whoever she wants, whenever she wants. And that includes Lucas. I'm Lee Teayong and I approve this message."
A series of claps and hollers came from all around after Taeyong had finally finished his speech. Once Mark called cut on the film, Haechan stopped the recording and set down the camera to properly laugh at the now sulking boy.
"That was perfect! But, I think you're forgetting the little message at the bottom of the page," Yeona pointed out to him.
Taeyong picked the paper back up and read the fine print below, "P.S, she loves animals especially dogs cause she's a bitch herself."
"Wait I didn't write that–"
"Yeah I just thought I'd add my own little message," Taeyong said while stepping down from the table. He stood in front of the relaxed girl and started to mockingly wave the paper in her face, but before she could grab it back, he held it out of her reach.
Taeyong then proceeded to rip up the note into tiny pieces, her jaw dropped as she watched him blow the pieces into her face.
"So, we're done, right?" He asked while dusting off his hands before stuffing them into his pockets.
"Yeah is there anything else? I was expecting something bigger like him running around campus in just his underwear," Ten pipped up. Haechan nodded his head in agreement.
"I think that's the last thing people want to see," Taeil heavily sighed, trying to erase the unwanted images from his head.
"We're done, unfortunately. I mean the boy has an IQ of negative one, that's embarrassing enough."
Taeyong scoffed at her words, shoving her shoulder lightly. But Kun acted fast and pulled Yeona behind him, "H-Hey, don't touch her. Don't hurt girls."
"I... It was just a light shove Kun," Taeyong replied to the boy cautiously, "I wouldn't actually hurt her."
"It's cause he knows I can fuck him up if he does," Yeona patted Kun's shoulder, giving him a warm smile, "Thanks for looking out for me though, you're the best."
Kun's face flushed red, nodding shyly, "W-Welcome."
Yeona turned back to Taeyong, "I'll message Lucas and Jaehyun later tonight about meeting up for the project then." She took out her phone to check the time, it being close to 7. Seeing that it was still early into the night, she decided on texting them once she got back to her dorm.
"So... what now?" Jungwoo asked the group as they all stood around awkwardly, staring at each other blankly.
Yeona tapped her chin before an idea popped in her head, "Lets go out for dinner!"
"Taeyong's paying!" Johnny called out to which the others immediately agreed, aside from the said boy, "And we can use Taeil's senior discount!"
"Fight me bitch!"
"Oh hell yeah! I was thinking... chicken?" Mark suggested, a mischievous grin formed on his face as he raised his brows at a few of the boys.
"Ayy lets go," Ten started taking off, the boys and Yeona following behind.
"Oh yes my babies!!" Sicheng cheered, until suddenly his loving smile turned into a terrified frown in the matter of seconds, "Wait! No! Not my babies!!"
Sicheng then proceeded to run out the campus grounds, passing his friends in a rush. They all questionably looked at each other, wondering why he was panicking before it clicked in their heads, their eyes widening.
"No wait Sicheng–!"
They all ran after the boy, who was heading towards the nearest fried chicken place to have it shut down to release his precious friends, the chickens.
