It was a beautiful autumn day, your favourite time of the year. You were walking down a path in the woods, the sound of the shriveled leaves under your feet and the wind blowing through the branches of the trees like a whistle.
You sighed, your breath turning into a grey steam because of the cold temperature.
It was a calming walk. One you made everyday. Something you looked forward to after a long seven hours of school.
Soon, you heard leaves crunching deep in the woods. You paused looking through the trees, trying to find the cause of the noise, but found nothing.
After taking a few more steps you heard it again. This time it was louder. It sounded closer than before.
You abruptly stopped, gripping tightly to the strap of your bag which was slung over your right shoulder.
"Hello?"
No reply.
"Is someone there?"
Once again, no reply.
You continued on your walk thinking it was probably just an animal or your imagination. Little did you know... it was not.
