I knew deep inside I was not
"Of course I am Kelly, you have to give me all the details on dating mr.hotty" I said hoping she could not tell I was lying
"Duh...you will be the first one,....ooh sorry I have to go, bae is calling me, hugs and kisses bye" Then she hanged up

Really? And why was he calling her, why did he ask her out, why am I so concerned, why am I jealous? Why do I even care?
It's true, those questions, kept pestering me the whole night, and I could not get it out.I don't know when, but soon I fell asleep..
The Next Day....
The next morning, was fine actually, I woke up early, ate a healthy breakfast and put my hair into a high curly bun,wore a pink pant suit, and now I just arrived
When I walked in, everyone just straight up stared at me
I was confused but then I remembered word must've got around of what I did
I smiled to myself
I reached the top floor, and Troye came rushing to me,
"Boss wants to see you now"
He had a serious and worried face on, and I knew that Troy was not joking
I hugged him, and slowly walked to Liam's door
I knocked
"You may come in" he said in a dark voice
My breath started getting shaky
He was looking at me so deeply with his eyes, I could've drowned in them
I sat down
"S-sir?"

"Lia-"
"Don't ever call me that again, it's Mr.Williams to you now"he interrupted
He said it so cold and harsh, I literally gasped
I never seen him like this, it was just a slap
"You f*cking embarrassed me Renae, you know how my image looks? No I'm sorry, do you even care?"
I did care I really did, but how am I going to tell him that? I felt so bad
"Mr.Williams I am so sorry, I would've never done that, it's just that you triggered me when you said those harsh words to Troye"
He laughed, an evil one
"I w-wouldve I couldve" He said mocking me
"You think I give a damn? You just proved to me you can't control yourself, I think the best solution is to fir-"
"No sir, please don't finish that, I swear it won't happen again this is the best opportunity that happened to me....if I lose it, I lose everything, my money, my car, my aprtment, my chance to see my fam-"
I didn't even finish I started crying softly, unable to continue
I looked down at my lap and put my hands over my face, is this really it?
That's when I heard shuffling, and felt a presence bend down, the next thing I felt was warm arms around me
It felt so good, I felt safe, loved, noticed I don't even know
"Hey don't cry" Liam said while rubbing my back
I threw my arms around his neck, and cried harder
I didn't want to let go
We stayed like that for what seemed like hours, until I stopped crying and he pulled away
I felt cold again
"You okay now?...Im really sorry ba-, I mean Renae, I didn't want you to cry"
I just nodded and sniffled
I felt like hugging him again, his face looked so concerned
He was about to say something until Maybelle through the door
"Seriously, Liam, really?!!"
Liam face showed confusion
"You got a girlfriend, we said side chicks and chicos, not full commitment"
I had just remembered Maybelle was still in the picture
"I don't care, about that, I don't like you, you don't like me, get a boyfriend, I wouldn't care"
Maybelle looked like she was going to burst
"But, I want you I want-"
Liam pinched the bridge of his nose then interrupted
"Maybelle, no strings attached,NO STRINGS ATTACHED, what can't you get? We agreed we didn't want this and now you've grown feelings?"
I winced at his voice, Maybelle looked down and played with her fingers, I actually felt bad for her
"Yeah your right, I'm going to find a boyfriend, and you can't stop me, I might try the Troye boy, weird, but cute" she said trying to put in confidence
Liam looked like he was about to laugh, and I wanted too.
She left and we both started laughing
Troye? Seriously?
Can't she tell he doesn't go that way, the rejection is going to be real
Liam's laugh interrupted my thoughts, it was beautiful
When we stopped, it got awkward
"So you are still going to fire me?"
He thought for a secpnd, still bent on the floor
He got up
"I don't know Renae, you have to prove yourself worthy"
I felt like jumping on him again, but instead I grabbed his warm hands, in my small ones
"Thank you, Thank you"
I said while shaking them
He looked surprised, then smiled
"Your welcome, sheesh"
Then we stood there, awkwardly and nervously until my big mouth said something stupid
"Soooo....you and Kelly?"
He looked away and put his hand in his hair
"What about us?"

"Congratulations, I guess"
He whispered some words to himself, then took a deep breath
"So your happy about us?"
He looked confused as hell
"Of course, my bestfriend likes you, why would I not be happy for you?"
I lied so much today
"We're having our annual office celebration and I was wondering if you could be my date to it...just as friends of course"
What he wanted to go with me m, what about kelly? What would she think? I wanted to say yes so bad, but it was wrong
"I-i can't" I managed to get out
He looked striken, and embarrassed, then I guess he remembered
"Oh I would go with Kelly, but it's co-workers only"
He is the boss of this place can't he just change that? And even if he can, I still can't go as friends, Kelly would be so disappointed.
"It's not that, I already got a date"
He narrowed his eyes
"Who?"
Damn. Nosy much?
"You'll just have to see" I laughed nervously
That ended that conversation, I ended up asking him for my work for the day, he gave it to me, but seemed like he was ignoring me at the same time.
I shrugged it off, but I really had to find a date for the party
When lunch came around, I went with Troye to Chick-fil-A, my favorite fast food.
He said he already had a date
Now what was I supposed to do??
We talked about yanny and laurel for sometime, until my eye caught on a man.
He walked in swiftly, wearing a black turtle neck, black pants and black shoes
The way he walked, the way he dressed, his hair.....
It was all too familiar....
He looked my way, but made no eye contact. And I swear I fainted
