"I know." Raven said with clear sadness in her eyes, something I rarely saw.
Raven unsheathed her sword before she slashed the air, creating a red portal. I watched my old friend walk through it but not before glancing at me and Raven before he left. As soon as he did Raven let out a loud sigh before she started heading towards her hut.
"Raven." I called out to her as I jogged to her side. "What happened to (Y/N)?" I asked.
"*sigh* Me and (Y/N) are going to have a little chat." She told me.
"W-Was that really him? My knight?" I heard a voice question from behind me.
"You need to stop calling him that." Another voice said. "And if anything he's my knight."
Raven stopped in her tracks while I turned towards the two.
"Yes. It was (Y/N)." Raven answered. "But you three can not see him until.... things are straightened out between us. Am I clear?"
"Yes Raven." We answered.
"Good. I need to check out some things before I leave. Vernal, you know what to do." Raven said before she walked off.
I glanced over my shoulder as she left before the two girls in front of me glared.
"Are we seriously going to do this again?" I asked, crossing my arms.
But they continued their glare. I sighed as we were going to have this argument... again.

It was a bright and sunny day in a green fielded village. A few men was carrying grey stones as they slowly built a wall outside the village, a pair of mothers was chatting to each other about their lives, and a few kids was playing in the dusty pathways.
But out of these children, one hid behind a large oak tree in a vast field of green grass. He had (H/C) hair and (E/C) eyes and held a small burlap bag in his small 6 year old hands. His name was (Y/N) (L/N).

I couldn't help but giggle a little as I hid behind the giant tree. But I had to cover my mouth so I wouldn't be found as easy.
There's no way they'll find me here! They'll probably be looking for me all day before they can win the bag back. Lucky m-
"Did you seriously think I wouldn't find you at our hang out spot?" I heard an all too familiar voice say.
I froze as I slowly turned my head to see Vernal with a cocky smirk. And right behind her was Crystal and Sara.
"That was pretty stupid choice (Y/N)." Sara said before she pulled out a book.
"No it wasn't! This is where you guys started counting at. This was supposed to be the last place you guys looked!" I said as I pointed a finger at Sara.
"Yeah that makes total sense!" Crystal said, backing me up as she pointed a finger at Sara too.
"You're both idiots...." -_-|| Sara said.
"Either way we found you so split the loot." Vernal said as she held out her hand.
"Fine." I said as I pulled out three red apples.
I tossed one to Vernal, handed the other to Crystal, and Sara grabbed an apple from my hand as she sat down right next to me.
"You did some good work picking all those apples (Y/N)." Vernal said as she sat on the grassy ground then took a loud bite out of her apple.
"Eh, the trees near my house had a lot on them so it was nothing." I told her. "But you could have helped though."
"But you got them didn't ya buddy?" She said. "And besides who helped you stick up to those wannabe twins?"
"Heh. You did." I said with a small smile.
"Of course I did." Vernal said before she got up then sat next to me with her arm around my shoulder. "We made a pact remember?"
"Yeah." I said.
"We all did." Crystal said.
"Yep. We all watch each others backs no matter what." Vernal said as she pointed at all of us.
We all continued eating our apples until Crystal started to get curious about what Sara was reading.
"Whatcha reading?" Crystal asked curiously as she stood in front of Sara. "Is it about a Knight?!" She asked excitedly before taking the book right out of Sara's hands and read the pages quickly.
"No! It's about an old fairytale." Sara said before she snatched the book back. "You need to stop with that knight obsession."
"But I wish a Knight would want to protect me." Crystal said with a dreamy look in her eyes and a tone to match.
"Eh." I could see Vernal sweat drop. "Who needs a Knight when you got yourself?" o_o|| Vernal said.
"Don't try guys. She'll be like that for a while now...." o_o|| I said as
we looked at Crystal looking out into the field with dreamy eyes.
"(Y/N)!" I heard my dad call out for me causing me to get up.
"Oh I forgot about the trip to my grandpa's!" I told myself. I turned back to the girls. "I gotta go. I'll see you guys soon though!" I started running.
"See ya soon buddy." Vernal called out to me.
I ran through the grassy field onto the brown pathway that would lead to my house. As I ran there I caught a glimpse of pale blonde hair and almost golden set of eyes duck behind a tree as I looked over. I stopped running and was going to check it out but my father called for me again....
3 Months Later
3rd Person View
Mountain Glenn. An abandoned city overran with various species of Grimm and home to (Y/N) (L/N). Around the desolate city is a massive forest that could easily be as dangerous as being in the city. But right now there was something far more dangerous than a Grimm. Raven Bradwen.
She was trudging through the Grimm infested forest heading towards the city to meet up with her pupil, (Y/N).
But why not just teleport to him you may ask? Because there was something making the bandit leader extremely angry and by killing stray Grimm could ease her mind.... somewhat.
Raven View
"Argh!" I growled as I sliced through another Beowolf. One of the few Grimm that was surrounding me.
I can't believe it! After all that time trying to train her!
I sliced through another Grimm.
Day in and out and nothing!
I cut off an Ursa's head before kicking the headless body away.
A girl weak as that should have never been chosen to be a maiden!
I sliced straight through a Beowolf, right down the middle. I took a deep breath and sighed.
There's going to be questions about a girl missing... Everyone in the camp knew I was training some girl... I need to figure something out quickly to make sure my authority isn't effected by some weak girl's death.
Suddenly I heard a russling noise from behind me. I let out an agitated sigh before I turned around with my sword pointed at the cause of the noise. But I wasn't expecting to find three little girls.
One with red hair and blue eyes, another with white hair and red eyes and the last one...
My blade of my sword was right in front of the little girl with the short brown hair, almost stabbing between her pale blue eyes. But instead of looking at me with fear, unlike the other two, she glared at me. I raised a brow under my mask as she continued to glare.
"Get out of my way." The brown haired girl said in a determined tone but I could definitely hear the fear forming in it.
"And why should I?" I asked.
"I'm not going to die here until I know what happened to (Y/N)." She said, her voice cracking when saying my pupil's name.
She's determined just to find him even though certain death could be facing dead in the face.... She's definitely a fighter. No doubt about it......
I think I found my new "Maiden"....
(Y/N) View
I smiled as I ran back to my hotel home. The sky was bright blue instead of the slow grey that it usually was. And that only means that today's gonna be a good day.
I bursted through the front doors and ran down the hallway to the mother Beowolf's room. And luckily she was there... I think. It's hard to tell really since if she's not looking at me I can't see her.
"Hello." I greeted her which she stepped out of the darkness so I could see her. "I just wanted to tell you that I've taken care of that rival pack that's been running around."
She tilted her head to the side, in confusion? I've been watching her and the other Grimm talk to each other for a few months now and I think I might be able to fully understand her soon.
"I've been training around town when I'm not busy." I said, hopefully answering the question she asked.
But she continued to keep her head tilted.
"I, Um, just wanted to help out. You saved me and gave me a home so... I wanted to thank you. Miss." I said shyly.
She untilted her head and walked over to me. I still felt a little scared around her so I couldn't help but freeze up a little. She stood right in front of me before leaning down and pressed her large head against my small chest. I was confused at first before she let out a low whine. And surprisingly I understood her.
"Y-You want me to call you mom?" I asked, which she took her head from my chest then nodded.
I didn't know how to feel but I couldn't tear up.
"O-Okay m-mom." I said, getting used to saying that again.
I stood there as I thought about my mom, my real mom.... until I remembered that I'm supposed to meet up with Raven soon.
"Oh I-I gotta go. I promised Cole? that we would go outside and play." I said quickly before I left the room.
Once I was back in the hallway I started running. Straight outside and down the street. And soon enough I was standing in my training area near the edge of the city. I smiled as I saw Raven slowly come into view as she walked out the forest.
"Raven!" I waved with a smile.
But then I noticed three people following behind her. And as they walked closer my eyes widened seeing who they were.
"V-Vernal?" I mumbled to myself before Crystal immediately ran over to me and hugged me.
"(Y/N) you're all right!" She said happily as she hugged me.
But she was quickly pulled away by Sara, who looked between angry and relived.
"You idiot! You could have tried coming back to the village?! They sent a Huntsman to find you only to come back to say that your family was gone and-and-and..." Tears formed in her eyes. "....I'm so glad you're okay!" Sara cried as she hugged me.
And once she let go of me Vernal walked up to me with a smirk.
"I told you guys I'll find him." She told Crystal and Sara. "I'm glad you're okay." She hugged me.
"I-I... I'm happy that you guys found me." I said before she released me from the hug. I turned to Raven and smiled. "Thank you Raven."
"I only lead them here but they made the trip on their own." Raven said. I glanced at Vernal as she gave a smirk. "But my help isn't cheap." I looked back at Raven with a raised eyebrow. "From now on they'll be training with us too."
I immediately went wide eyed and looked at the girls in worry. Raven trained me and made me strong for sure but..... I don't want them to get hurt.... and I get hurt A LOT.
"We accept." Vernal said causing me to give her a worried look but she held her smirk as she looked at me. "We made a pact remember? Plus we're all orphans. We only stayed at the village because it was safe and you was there. And since you've been here all this time with the Grimm and such I doubt you're the same as when you left. Am I right?"
"Y-Yeah." I said.
"So it's decided. We're going to stick around. Isn't that right guys?" Vernal asked Crystal and Sara.
"Right." Both of them answered.
"Good." Raven said as she pulled out her sword. "Now I'll have to test you three before we spar (Y/N)."
"Hmph." Vernal scoffed. "Alright, I'll go first."
Vernal raised her fists with an excited smirk while Crystal looked completely scared and Sara looked worried. But I knew that this was only the beginning.....
Timeskip
"Haaaaa!" Vernal shouted as she threw a quick punch towards Raven.
Raven easily sidestepped out the way causing Sara to sigh.
"She's really going at it.... again." Sara said.
"Yeah. They've been training non stop for the last couple of months." Crystal said as the two continued to look over at Raven training Vernal.
Even I couldn't help but glance over at the two. Ever since Vernal started training with Raven, Raven has been pushing her hard. Just like when I started training with her. But I'm surprised that none of the girls unlocked their Semblances. Not even Vernal.
"Ugh!" Vernal groaned as we watched her fall flat on her back.
She quickly got back up to continue fighting but Raven spoke.
"That's enough for now Vernal." Raven said which made Vernal give a disappointed look. Raven turned her head towards us. "I think that it's time to put you into an actual threat."
I flinched knowing what she means by that...
"She doesn't mean... "
"Grimm." I finished Sara's sentence.
I saw Crystal's and Sara's faces go a little pale.... but Vernal on the other hand smirked confidently.
"Don't let fear or arrogance get the better of you." Raven said glancing over us. "Because if you show too much of either they'll take you down. Easily." Raven said.
"I-I've been taking out rival packs so we might have to go out of the city to find some." I said.
"Alright. We head out now." Raven said as she turned around and started heading towards the forest.
Vernal immediately started following behind Raven while Crystal and Sara stood there blankly.
"C-Come on guys. I'll protect you." I said with a smile but I couldn't feel any more nervous.
"Y-Yeah. Let's go." Sara said before we quickly caught up to them.
Timeskip
We've been walking through the thick, dark forest for a while but there's been no sign of Grimm. Which is weird because any other day I would have run into 4 or 5 Ursai by now.
Crystal looked completely spooked as she darted her head from one direction to another nervously. I couldn't blame her since that was how I was when I first came here.
"Up ahead." Raven said as she stopped in her tracks.
I looked up ahead to see a few Beowolves eating something. Maybe a deer..... Poor deer.
"Use anything in your disposal to at least harm one of those Grimm." Raven told the girls as she turned around. "And (Y/N) can not help you."
Crystal looked even more scared and I went wide eyed. But before I could say anything the Beowolves noticed us. They started growling loudly and I could understand them loud and clear.
Kill them.....
"Alright!" Vernal said excitedly as she charged forward.
We watched as she ran towards one of the Beowolves and threw a punch to its leg... and do absolutely nothing.
"Wh-What!" Vernal said completely shocked.
The Beowolf on the other hand just glared at her. Causing Vernal to start to look pale before she ran.
"Vernal!" I called out but Raven put an arm in front of me to block me off from helping her.
"No (Y/N)." Raven said sternly as the other Beowolves approached us.
Crystal and Sara started running off in different directions causing the Grimm to run after them. I tried going after them but Raven continued to hold me back.
Vernal continued running from her Beowolf until she found a very large tree branch. She quickly tried picking it up but it was too heavy for her. The Beowolf behind her swung its massive claw down but Vernal barely dodged out the way, making the Grimm effectively snap the large branch in two.
Vernal fell to the ground just as the large Grimm started hovering over her. She went wide eyed as she quickly tried to reach for the branch, the only thing that could protect her at this point. I watched as the Beowolf lunged down.... only to be impaled by the sharp end of the branch that was held up by Vernal. The look in her eyes was beyond shocked that she survived that as the demon Wolf turned to dust.
I sighed in relief that Vernal wasn't harmed but I was scared when I heard a scream. Looking over I saw Sara backed up against a tree as a Beowolf closed in on her.
"No!" I shouted as I tried running around Raven only for her to wrap her arms around my arms and chest, and lifted me off the ground. "Raven let go!"
"No. They need to learn that only the strong can survive!" She shouted.
I saw the Beowolf lunge at her, followed by Sara screaming. I felt my heart drop....
But then the Beowolf disappeared...
To reveal Sara.... with claws?
"Wha...What?" I said, almost in a whisper.
Sara looked at her own blue claws with as much shock I'm in.
"Oh?" Raven said. "A dragon faunus."
"S-She's a faunus?" I said as Sara sat on the ground with a look of complete shock.
But then I heard another scream...
Crystal was still running from a Beowolf and tears was pouring down from her eyes. She knew her life depended on running.... but she tripped over a rock.
She quickly looked over her shoulder to see the Beowolf finally caught up to her. Crystal was shaking in complete fear and I really doubt that this will trigger something within her.
"Raven I don't care what you do to me but this is.... " I activated my white flamed semblance and broke out of Raven's hold. "....ENOUGH!"
I quickly dashed forward and ran around the Beowolf that terrified Crystal. I tackled her so we rolled out of the way, just as the Grimm swung its large clawed hand. I immediately got back up and punched that Beowolf right in its stomach, killing it instantly.
"(Y-Y/N)?" I heard her question in a shaky voice.
"Yeah." I said immediately going to her side.
"I-I.... " She didn't even finish before she started bawling her eyes out.
"It's okay. I'm here." I said as I helped her up then gave her a tight hug.
"I told you not to interfere." Raven said with clear anger in her voice.
"I wasn't going to let her get hurt!" I shouted as I let go of Crystal and turned towards Raven.
"But you won't be able to save her every time (Y/N). If she can't defend herself against the one thing that plagues this world then she won't last long." Raven said.
"Yes she wi-"
"No." Crystal said causing me to look at her. "I won't.... Not unless..." She trailed off. "...Can you train me as hard as Vernal and (Y/N)?" She asked Raven.
"Crystal I don't-"
"Yes I can." Raven cut me off. "Are you willing to push your every limit?"
Crystal glanced at me before she looked back Raven.
"I accept.... if it means being pushed as hard as Vernal and.... my knight.... I will."
I just stared at my redheaded friend as I thought about what she just said.
Everything.... everything is changing....

"Guys let's sing a song!" Crystal said cheerily as we walked down the abandoned streets of Mount Glenn.
It's been.... I have no idea how long but we've all been through a LOT of training. And... I think I grew a little.
"Do you really think singing a song is a great idea when we're in a city filled with Grimm heading towards a forest filled with more Grimm?" Sara asked as she watched her claws change to fingers.
"Eh... I could go for some sort of music I guess." Vernal shrugged. "Whatcha have in mind?"
"You know. The song we've made up together back at the village." Crystal said. "And my knight knows all the words~" She smiled at me.
"What's up the whole "knight" thing?" Vernal asked.
"Because (Y/N)'s been my knight in armor all along!" Crystal said as she gave me that dreamy look.
"U-Uh... Let's sing the song?" I said.
"Okay!" Crystal said happily.

"You and I both know well. I couldn't do this by myself." I sung as I picked up a stick and used it as I microphone.
"And everyday is all the same. You pick me up when down I fell." Crystal sung.
"And there you're standing through and through. I know exactly what you would you." Vernal started.
"And I give it everything I've got but I know that I'm not stronger than you." Crystal sung as she pointed at me.
"So I be your shield, I can be your lion." Vernal sung.
"I'll dry your eyes if I see you crying. Believe in me because I won't let you down!" I sung.
"And now we've come so far! We know who we are! And we'll shine brighter than any gem between us and the stars! And now it's just you and me, like it's meant to be. And I'll defend you, I'll protect you if you let me try! Stay forever, now forever. Just let me try!" The three of us sung happily as Sara looked disappointed.
"-_-||" She just stared at us. "Really?"
"Come on. You know you wanna join. Don't be one of those Tsunderes." Vernal said.
"Just one verse?" Crystal begged the... dragon girl, it's still strange to think that.
Crystal made an extreme pouting face that I could never say no to, and stared at Sara. I could see the look slowly wear her down until she sighed.
"*sigh* Fine. Just one ver-"
"Ahhhhh!"
The four of us immediately stopped in our tracks.
"What was that?" Vernal asked as we looked around.
"I don't know." I said as I looked around the abandoned street.
But as I looked a girl ran out from one around the corner. She had pale blonde hair and gold eyes... wait I seen her before...
"Ahhhh!" The girl screamed again as an Ursa came from around the corner and chased after her.
"We gotta help her!" I said.
"Already one step ahead of ya." Vernal said as she picked up a rock.
She winded her arm back and threw the rock so it hit the side of the Ursa's head. It bounced off harmlessly but it did turn its head in our direction as the girl continued to run.
"Sara you go find the girl while we deal with Yogi over there." Vernal said.
Sara gave a quick nod as she ran off to look for the girl. The Ursa fully turned towards us and he looked ready to charge. I raised my fists to get ready but Vernal put her hand in front of me.
"No. Let Crystal do it." She told me.
"Are you sure?" I asked as I glanced at Crystal.
"Yes."
I put my arms down as Crystal stepped forward. And immediately after that the Ursa broke off in a full sprint towards us.
"Okay...." Crystal said to herself. "You can do this... "
She raised one of her hands that started glowing in her palm. And slowly that light grew and turned into... fire.
"You unlocked your semblance." I said in amazement.
"Yep!" She said cheerfully as she tossed the fireball straight at the incoming Ursa; setting it ablaze.
As we watched the Ursa turn to ash Sara came back with the familiar girl. As I looked at her I remembered why she looked so familiar. She lived in the village... but what she's doing here.
"Found her." Sara said as they approached us.
When the three of us looked at her she immediately hide behind Sara.
"We won't hurt you." I said.
"Obviously." Sara said.
"Are you alright?" I asked as I peeked around Sara at the girl.
"Y-Yeah. I-I'm fine (Y/N)." She said.
"You know me?" I asked.
"Y-Yes." Her face turned red. "I-I always seen you around the village." She said.
"Yeah. I think I remember you." Vernal said. "Don't you have an older brother?"
"Y-Yes. I-I came here to find (Y-Y/N). You've been gone for a whole year." She said.
"A whole year.... " I muttered to myself.
"Y-Yeah. I just wanted to really know if you were still alive... B-But I have to go back before the village starts to worry." She said.
"Alright. Let's get you home then." Vernal said as she wrapped an arm around the girl's shoulder.
Timeskip
The five of us was travelling through the forest trying to remember which direction was the village. But unfortunately for us none of us knew... including the girl.... I would ask her name but every time I look at her she turned red and look away from me. Like this there something I'm doing?
"H-Happy birthday...." I heard the girl mumble, but I heard her.
"Huh?" I asked as I glanced at her as we continued walking.
"U-Um... I s-said h-happy birthday." She said as she tried making eye contact with me. Keyword tried.
"It's my birthday?" I asked.
"Y-Yeah. I remembered your birthday.... " She said as her face became red again. "Making you seven years old."
"I'm seven.... " I said to myself but I couldn't believe how long it's been. "Um thank you." I told her.
"Y-Your welcome." She said.
"Hey, um, what's your name?" I asked.
"O-Oh, my n-name. It's L-"
But she was cut off by something running past our group in a black blur.
"What was that?" Vernal asked as we stopped in our tracks.
We looked around until we saw another black blur rush past us, then another, and another. We all went back to back, having a protective circle around the girl.
"Grimm." Sara said as she charged her fingers to claws.
And soon after a pack of Grimm came into our view... but they weren't any type of Grimm I've seen before.
"This that a freaking dinosaur." Vernal said.
"It appears so." Sara said as the new type of Grimm started barking to each other.
"They're curious." I said. "They never seen us before so they're deciding...."
"On?" Vernal asked.
"Friend or food." I said as I watched one of them eyeing me.
They kept making either barks or other noises as they decided what to do.... and it wasn't leaning towards the friend route.
"Guys, we have to get ready.... " I said as they started growling at us. "....Now!"
I activated my semblance and charged forward to throw a punch towards one of the dinosaurs. I made a clean hit across its face but.... it didn't die.
"Oh no...." I said as it turned its face back towards me, showing off its teeth as it growled.
I glanced over and even saw Sara having a hard time. Even when she scratched with her claws it didn't disappear.
"Guys we need to run for it!" I shouted as I jumped back from the dinosaur that snapped its jaws at me.
"Okay go!" Vernal said as we started running.
The Grimm easily was hot on our trail and it wouldn't take long before they caught one of us.
"Guys I'll cover you." I said as I stopped and turned around.
"No they'll kill you!" Vernal said.
"But I'd rather die than let you die too. Now go!" I shouted at them.
I heard them running off just as the five Grimm caught up to me. They growled at me but the leader looked around, as if he smelled something. He barked into the air signaling that two of them should go after the others.
"No!" I shouted as I dash forward and punched one of them back.
As soon as I did I felt one of their claws slash me. But luckily for me they only got my clothes.... Unlucky for me I was immediately slapped by one of their tails. I was launched a few feet away from them, flat on my back. I groaned as I got back up, seeing four out of five of the Grimm slowly creep up to me.
I don't know what to do...!
I just backed away from them until I bumped into a tree.
I-Is this how I die?
They continued to slowly walk towards me.
At least... I gave the girls some time....
SHINK!
I flinched a little as a sword fell from above and stabbed itself into the ground. But on closer look... it was Raven's sword. I quickly looked around but I didn't see her. Only a lone Raven.
But who cares?! I have a weapon!
I quickly got up and pulled the red bladed sword from the forest ground. I almost fell forward since this is the first time ever holding a weapon of some kind. I awkwardly pointed the sword at the Grimm causing them to growl at me.
One jumped forward but I stabbed straight through it in midair. It disappeared quickly before I swung the sword at the others. Getting two of them while the other ran off.
"Whew!" I let out a deep breath.
"Ahhhh!"
"The girls!" I said to myself as I started running towards the sound of the scream.
Dodging through the trees I found the girls running from one of the dinosaur Grimm. I scowled as I dashed forward with Raven's sword, feeling my semblance flare. I moved faster than I thought I would as I had already cut through the Grimm before I even realized it.
"D-Did I...?" I muttered to myself as I turned around to see the Grimm disappear.
"My knight saved us!" Crystal said as she almost tackled me into a hug.
"Where did you get Raven's sword?" Sara asked as Crystal released me.
"I don't know. It sorta fell out of the sky." I answered.
"Well aren't you Deus Ex Machina." Vernal said.
I smiled a little before I looked at the unnamed girl. She stared at me but... it was like she was in her own world.
But then we've heard someone shouting a name. Probably the girl's but he was too far off to hear the name clearly.
"Huh?" The girl mumbled softly as she snapped from her trance. "It's my brother!" She said.
She started running towards the voice but she stopped in her tracks and turned back to us.
"Aren't you coming?" She asked.
"I.... We have something here. I have a home now with my friends." I said making the girl frown. "But I will I'll try to come back. One day."
I walked over to her and gave her a hug. I saw her freeze up but she slowly wrapped her arms around me too. And I released her, her entire face was red.
"I-I gotta go." She turned and started running. "Bye (Y-Y/N)!"

I covered my face with my hands to hide my blush as I ran towards my brother's voice.
H-He's so s-sweet.
I wasn't paying attention to where I was going until I bumped into something. I fell on my bum as I looked up to see my brother.
"Oh there you are!" My brother said in a relieved tone. "Everyone been looking for you."
"I-I'm sorry... but I found him!" I said.
"Really?" He asked as he looked in the direction I came from.
"B-But he wants to stay... " I said sadly as I looked at my feet.
"Hey sis." Big brother said as he kneeled down to my height. "He made his decision to stay. He probably as someone to take care of but you know what?"
"What?"

"You did well." I heard Raven say, snapping me away from my thoughts about the girl.
I turned around and saw Raven walking towards me.
"You saw?" I asked.
"I have a certain trick up my sleeve but yes. I seen you take on an unknown threat with quick thinking." Raven said.
"Yeah. Here's your sword back." I said as I held out her sword to her.
Grrrrrr....
Everyone looked over to see the my mom approach us as she growled. Raven took her sword from my hands and pointed at her causing my mom to growl even louder.
"No!" I said as I stood in between the two women. "She's just a huntress!"
My mom continued to growl.
"Wh-What..." I said. "B-But they're my friends.... "
She glared at me.
"But-!"
She let out a loud howl.
I turned towards Raven, Vernal, Crystal, and Sara.
"You.... need to go."
Timeskip
I stood there.... teary eyed as I watched Vernal, Crystal, and Sara pack their things from their abandoned store they lived in for so long.
I don't want them to go but... Mom hates Hunters and Huntresses. And the girls need to stay with her for training....
"Do they really need to leave?" I asked my mom, who nodded yes.
"There. That's everything." Sara said as they came out the rundown building.
"Alright then." Raven said as she quickly opened up a portal.
"Can I say goodbye?" I asked my mom, who nodded yes before she headed towards the hotel. I walked over to Raven and hugged her, even if she didn't ask for one.
"(Y/N).... you need let go." She said.
"I don't want you to go...." I said.
"I know you don't want me to... " She trailed off as I released her.
"We're going to miss you!" Crystal said hugging me tightly.
"Even if you are idiotic at times." Sara joined the hug.
"But your our (Y/N)." Vernal said hugging me from behind.
They held me like that for a bit before they released me and slowly headed through the red portal. Raven was the last one to head through, giving me on last look before she disappeared.
They're gone....
I couldn't help but fall to my knees and let tears flow down my cheeks. I lost everyone....
"She cares you know." I heard a voice say.
I looked to my right to see a woman standing right next to me. She wore a long white cloak so I couldn't see her face.
"She may put up that mask but underneath it she really cares about you. Underneath she already misses you, but wants to make you stronger with her in your memory. The same as your friends." The woman said as she kneeled down to my height. But I still couldn't see most of her face due to her hood. "They want you to be strong and safe and continue being the same guy you are because they care about you. So you make her proud by becoming the strongest you can. Alright honey?"
I nodded in understanding.
"Good." She smiled. "Raven will come back, she always does for the people she cares about." The woman stood up. "And to make you feel better I'll visit you real soon honey. I promise."
Then she vanished. I mean she just disappeared leaving white rose petals.
But I understand what that woman was saying. I need to become stronger. To become what Raven and my friends want for me.
"I promise!" I shouted.
