Chikako didn't go far before she stopped. She couldn't let team seven see her, but she needed time away from Hikari. So far now, she would hide from both of them.
Taking a deep breath she closed her eyes and calmed herself down. Her senses were not as sensitive as before thanks to the renewed seal.
Human.
Kuroitori.
Retched human. You sealed me.
I see you're still weak.
Your senses are too sharp.

Chikako stayed quiet. It seems Hikari wasn't able to seal its voice like Kou was. She decided that it was to dangerous for her to be out in the open in this state, so she walked back in the direction of Hikaris house much to her disdain.
"I don't get it. She left only a day ago. How could she have moved on already?" Naruto's voice was loud. He seems irritated. Chikako peaked around the corner to see team seven talking amongst themselves as they moved.
"If we didn't run through the night it would've taken us at least three days to get here" Kakashi added.
Chikako listened for another second before she turned around.
"I really want to know what's going on with her. Shikamaru and Gaara won't tell us her secret" Naruto's voice faded as she walked back to Hikari.
When she opened the door she was greeted by the orange headed male sitting on the couch with his knee bouncing up and down and his hands on his face. it was obvious he was stressed about her being gone.
"I messed up. I never should've said that. I just wish she was more careful. She's all I have now. But that doesn't mean I should have said that. I know that word brings back bad memories. I'm such an idiot" Hikari was ranting to himself. When the door closed his head popped up and a look of relief immediately made its way to his face.
"I'm so sorry" he said while he ran and hugged Chikako.
"I was thinking. The silver haired man at the door was your brother right? Well if you ran away from him does that mean..." he trailed off.
I promise. If I don't find my brother worthy I'll come back to you and we can live out lives together.
The promise Chikako made when she left surfaced in her mind.
"I'm not sure yet. You know about me, but it would be best if I was alone. It's safest for everyone if I stayed alone"
"No! You promised! And I can seal it when you get out of control! Its safer with me" Hikari pleaded. Chikako shook her head.
"Why? Last time you said you'd stay with me. I told you I loved you and you still left." Pain was painted over Hikari's face.
"If I tell you again, will you stay this time?" He asked. His voice was sad and desperate.
Chikako stood there looking into Hikari's eyes. He's the one person she can never let go of or ignore. He was like a brother to her.
"I don't care if you make me move! I just want to be with you!" He yelled. He grabbed Chikako and hugged her tightly to his chest. The boys had dug deeply into the girls shoulder. They were so close they could feel the others heartbeat through their chests.
"Please stay with me" a blush made its way to Chikako's face. Hikari was always a very brutally honest person, but this show of passion was odd. He usually showed his affection in subtle ways. It was the first time in a long while that Chikako had felt this... It was shock.
"Come with me then." The words came out of Chikako's mouth before she realized what she was saying.She wasn't acting like herself. Kuroitora must be messing with her.
Hikari's eyes sparkled and he jumped on Chikako as he hugged her again.
A small clank was heard behind the pair and Hikari immediately broke away with a blush on his face. Chikako stood there completely emotionless.
"I didn't think you would find me so soon" She deadpanned before turning around and sitting on the couch. Hikari's face was as red as the tomato's Sasuke eats. He never showed affection like that and being caught while doing it was embarrassing.
"What do you want Kakashi?" Chikako's voice was flat as she addressed her brother.
"Lady Hokage told us to follow you."
"I don't remember her ever telling you to make contact" Chikako deadpanned.
"Let go! He was hugging her!!! Sasuke HUGGING HER!!" Naruto's voice boomed as Sasuke and Sakura tried to hold him back. Sasuke was seething as well, but he was calmer. More specifically plotting Hikari's death in his head.
"We're here to make sure you come back." Kakashi said.
"Fine I'll go back, but Hikari is coming with me and living with me, and I'm quitting team seven. I will no longer be a ninja of the hidden leaf" Chikako left no room for argument as she walked into the kitchen to prepare some food.
Hikari squealed like a little girl inside his head before clearing his throat and began talking about how good of a cook Chikako is. Kakashi slowly nodded his head along in agreement remembering when she cooked for him.
"She cooked for you Kakashi-sensei?" Naruto shouted. Sasuke made his little noise as if to back up Naruto. As for Sakura, she just listened in interest.
"Within the first few days she arrived. I was with her all day in her room due to the Hokage's order" Sakura seemed to cringe away as all three younger males glared at the older one.
Before they could unleash their wrath on poor, unknowing Kakashi, Chikako stepped into the main room with six boxes. Without a word she handed them all out and kept one in her own hands.
It was still rather early in the morning so they all headed out right then and there. After much debate and arguing, Hikari ended up on Chikako's back as she sprinted her way back to the leaf village.
The boys made Chikako stop numerous times because she was too fast for them even with the pain she was dealing with. They camped out for four nights and finally made to back to the village around nighttime.
The first thing Chikako did when she arrived in the village was run to the Hokage's office. She first dropped Hikari off in her room and then went to talk to Lady Tsunade. Chikako then grabbed her ninja headband out of her pocket and set it on the table.
"I resign as a ninja if the hidden leaf" her voice was just as emotionless it was when she arrived. Lady Tsunade wanted to ask questions but knew better, she she just nodded her head and let Chikako leave.
A few weeks went by and no one saw even a glimpse of Chikako. Whenever someone went to her room it was silent and her lights were off. It got to a point where Neji and even Shino were asking questions.
Hikari was seen out and about almost everyday gathering supplies, for what? No one was sure. He would shop everyday and walk around the village. He also lived in the Hokage's tower with Chikako. It didn't take long for most if the shinobi to make that connection. When asked, Hikari would simply say she's doing fine and leave it at that.
Night rolled around and two weeks had passed with no one seeing Chikako. Said ninja was running through the trees outside of the village. She stopped at her normal spot and began singing.

"I told you I'm busy. Stop calling me" Itachi's harsh voice reached Chikako's ears. She was used to his tone so she let it slide.
"I've been keeping Sasuke safe as you asked of me when I left the Akatsuki, I ask for a favor in return" her voice was cold and calculating. Itachi was a bit surprised, but he knew what she was doing. He did it himself. She's cutting ties with everyone. Again.
"What?" Was his simple reply. Chikako took a few slips of paper out of her pocket. Ten slips of paper to be more accurate.
"Give one to each Akatsuki member. Tell them I was the one who gave them to you, and unless they want that to happen again. They should use it when they see it glow" Itachi's face took on a grave expression. This was serious. He immediately jumped away when the papers were in his hand.
Each one was something she made herself. It was a connection to her curse. If the power of more than eight tails leaked out, they would glow. Each member would immediately throw the paper on the ground and let a drop of their blood fall on it. They would be teleported to her location. Then they would kill her.
Chikako stopped being a shinobi to lessen that chance of her tails leaking out.
If it ever happened again everyone would die. She's not here to stop it this time.
