Ella's POV
Beep beep beep
Ugh not that annoying sound again
Ughhhhhhhhh
It hurts my head
I open my eyes to see a sleeping theo next to me holding my hand. It's dark outside but it looks like it's soon sunrise.
Suddenly Theo moves
"Ella?"
"Hey" I smile
"Ella you're awake" He jolts up right "Are you ok?"
"I don't know Theo. I don't know."
"Hey I'm here ok, I'm not leaving you, we will get through this all together" he says looking deep into my eyes
"I know. I don't know why, but I trust you"
"Good"
His hand caresses my cheek causing me to close my eyes in relaxation and content
But for me, the happiness never lasts long
My mind starts to wander thinking about my father and the shot and everything that has happened
And this leads to a single question that seems to be tugging strings in my mind
"Theo"
"Yes baby" he says with a smile that goes from ear to ear
"What happened to my dad?"
"I think I should tell you later when you are feeling better"
"NO THEO, NOT THIS AGAIN"
"I can't tell you yet Ella, you are not ready, and neither am I, I don't want things to change between us" he says calmly
"I am Theo, tell me" I shout
"NO"
"HES MY DAD I HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW"
"THAT SON OF A B*ITCH WHAS NEVER A DAD TO YOU"
"WHAT DO YOU KNOW" I scream
"F*CK THS"
He gets up and slams the door behind him leaving me all alone in the dark room
I hated fighting with him, but I have a right to know what happened to my dad
Why can't he tell me
What's so big that it could hurt me
Why would things change between us?
