Abhi reached Mumbai sometime around early evening. His first visit was to lawyer's office.
"Good evening, I hope I didn't held you up." He greeted entering the office.
Lawyer replied with a formal smile.
"Evening Mr. Mehra. No you didn't. Please have a seat."
And gestured towards a chair.
"Your papers are ready , they came in today."
He informed him as he scanned his file drawer.
He draw out an envelope and handed it to Abhi.
Abhi skimmed through the document and told him.
"I will courier them to you as soon as I can."
"Do you have any questions? We can talk over tea. It's almost tea time."
The lawyer offered glancing at his wristwatch.
Abhi politely turned down.
"Thank you. But I have to decline. I have some work that needs my urgent attention. And once again
I really appreciate your efforts."
"You are welcome. Mr Mehra." He responded.
Abhi got up ,shook hands with him and departed.
He hailed a cab for his next destination. Lost deep into thoughts of the call he received in morning from inspector Veer about the case.
