When down on his luck detective Eddie Valiant is given a snoop job taking pictures of Maroon Cartoons comedy star Roger Rabbit's son, he drags his charming niece, Taina, recent college graduate, along for the ride. But things quickly turn sour upon the next day. Gag Queen, and co-founder of Toon Town, Miriam Acme, is discovered dead in her own factory. Police believe it to be murder, and they've got a good idea of who the culprit is―toon star Roger Rabbit himself!
While Eddie handles Roger, Taina tries to handle her own problem―the snoop victim, Jesse Rabbit, a singer at an underground speakeasy and a womanizer without a doubt. And did she mention the Judge of Toon Town is sentencing toons to "The Dip" for being their cartoon buffoonery selves?
