I looked up to meet your eyes staring back at me. you caught up to me the morning I got off the train. it turned out I was seeing more of you every single day of work.

I don't know why I acted so brisk, so remote and so combative when we first started talking.
I guess I just wanted you to get the hint that I'm not a person who likes people- that I was and still am a very different from you. I'm a person who's been hurt too many times and is afraid to let people in.
but you never stopped trying.
and it's now that I realise that. you actually wanted to be my friend, talk to me, get to know me.
and eventually, I let you in.
