De apparentlyavery

Two weeks later, Jingyu packed Cai's bag. They were all preparing for tomorrow, when the family would head on a plane and fly to one of Timmy's favourite places, New York.
This time, he would take his protection, Jingyu, with him, as well as his little boy. This was their first trip as a family, and right on the brink of China finally legalizing gay marriage. Timmy was set to perform a few concerts, one that they would hopefully push the debate over the edge.
It was quite a long flight, but WeiZhou enjoyed every moment. Cai got the window seat, and they took plenty of pictures of both him and each other.
When they arrived in New York, it was nighttime. A chauffeur took them to their hotel. WeiZhou had made sure that he booked the nicest one, so his family would have space. (And also so him and Jingyu would have a private room so Cai wasn't involved in their shenanigans.)
After putting an already sleeping Cai to bed, they changed into pyjamas themselves.
Once they were both ready, they cuddled together in the bed, falling asleep easily after the long day.

WeiZhou was up early the next day, kissing Jingyu on the lips before he left. Jingyu woke up when he was pecked, coming face to face with the famous version of his ZhouZhou. Makeup covered eye bags and pimples, but Jingyu knew him.
"I gotta go rehears for tonight. I'll be back before noon. Don't get lost."
Jingyu grinned, sleepy eyes focusing on his lover's face. "I won't. I love you."

"I love you too, baby."

It was morning in China and night in America. Tonight in China, the decision would be made wether to legalize gay marriage. If that happened, they would be allowed to act together again, and a second season of Addicted could be made.
WeiZhou performed flawlessly. There must have been at least three thousand people in the stadium, cheering for him during every song. He adored it, but the whole time, he prepared for the last song. The tipping point.
"Alright, I've had a great night with all of you guys. But I think I should perform one more song..." he took a sip of water, hearing the giant cheer as he picked up his guitar. He took off his microphone, unplugging it, and tossing it on the ground. He then sat on the chair set up for him, positioning the microphone on the stand so it reached his mouth.
"This one is for China." He smiled, beginning to strum the cords.
Three thousand people screamed, making the music almost nonexistent. He smiled, beginning to sing in Chinese.
"There was a bicycle rolling down the sidewalk, and stopped at the convenience store by the corner of the street."
Jingyu emerged from the other side of the stage, a microphone in his hand, as he began to sing his part. "The bold, cursive handwriting on the blackboard, the soft smile of love-sickness."
WeiZhou grinned so widely it hurt. Under the sun, on the sports ground, you were sprinting."
Jingyu smiled back at him, looking so free and happy. "Ice cream, candied fruit, the  taste of sweetness.
"The hustling promises of the waves, could not be compared to that embrace."
"Was there ever a time you held fast by yourself, because you've endured too much."
The rest of the song, prerecorded, cut on, and WeiZhou put down his guitar. He took the microphone, and Jingyu's hand. He waited as the prerecorded guitar finished playing, Jingyu squeezing his hand. WeiZhou turned to him, a knowing, loving look in his eyes.
The song ended, and three thousand people cheered. WeiZhou hoisted their hands in the air, suddenly tearing up. He bowed, waving at the crowd.
"I just-" WeiZhou barely got the words out before he broke out in tears. Jingyu let go of his hand, pulling him close to his chest.
"We would like to thank every single one of you for coming to the show tonight." He said, cradling WeiZhou's face in his arms. "We are so happy you support us." He swallowed, bringing the words to his brain and saying in perfect English, 'thank you.'
WeiZhou pulled away, smiling at the crowd.
The lights on the stage went out, as did the two Chinese men.
And that, that was their story.
