Prologue
The grandfather clock in my living room stared at me pensively. I don't know how a grandfather clock can be pensive; perhaps it has something to do with it's age, but all the same it was pensive. Almost as if it was wondering whether the next second of life would be worth ticking for.I compared my own life to the life of the grandfather clock. Is it really that dissimilar? I am too an unmoving object in so many aspects of my life. The same thing everyday. The same routine. The same life repeated over and over and over and over...
I snapped myself out of my daydream to find myself with the page of my book that I'd read at least a hundred times. I looked to the tea by my side, only to find it stone cold. How long ago did I make this? I sighed and and slipped my copy of New Moon off my lap. I got up and stretched my arms out to free my stiff body from it's usual hunched position.
Maybe I should go for a walk. But, then again, TV...I went to my couch, throughing myself onto it. My life really wasn't interesting. It was filled with meaningless things. That was...until HE came. Which was, in fact, that night. And it all started with a window.
