"Are you okay?"
Yeona looked up from her laptop that sat in front of her, turning her head over to the voice that called. She sniffled, pulling her blanket that was wrapped around her closer to her body, keeping her warm, "Y-Yes..."
"No, you're not," Her roommate sighed, throwing her bookbag on the floor before grabbing a box of tissues on her bedside table. She walked over to her tearful friend, throwing the box beside her, "What are you watching this time?"
Yeona took a single tissue, bringing it up to her nose, "Train to Busan."
The girl groaned, facepalming herself out of disappointment, "This is your tenth time watching this movie and you're still crying? It's not even that sad! I don't understand you."
Yeona wiped her tears away while turning the volume down on her laptop, "You would understand if you've watched it, Minseo."
"Um I have, I've seen it six times with you and became numb by the second," She rolled her eyes, plopping herself down on the corner of her own bed.
Minseo watched her friend stare at her screen, tears in her eyes as she grabbed a few tissues, "Is this what you're going to be doing the whole night?"
"No, I'm going to be doing this the whole weekend," Yeona replied. She was planning on doing homework whilst watching her favourite movies for the next few days. It had always been like that, and she didn't plan on changing her routine anytime soon.
Minseo sighed, "Alright, while you continue to be a sob-fest all night long, I'll be going to a party tonight," She got up from her bed and headed towards her closet, "I'm not staying around your emo ass any longer."
Yeona rolled her eyes, she was quite used Minseo being like this. The two girls were complete opposites, Minseo being the social butterfly while Yeona was still hidden in her cocoon. But despite that, they were totally inseparable. They became friends at the start of freshman year, hitting it off on the first day. And being roommates for a year helped their friendship grow to where they were today.
They were used to the others doings and didn't question it, or pressure the other to do something they didn't want to. That's what Yeona loved the most about Minseo, she would never force her to do something she didn't want to do.
"Yes go have fun at the slob-fest with sweaty gross people rubbing themselves all over you." She cringed just imagining the scene, that was the last place she wanted to be at.
Minseo suddenly stopped in place, her arms frozen as they hovered over her short dresses. She turned her head over to Yeona, "Well actually I was thinking..."
"No!" Yeona widened her eyes, she knew exactly what she was going to ask. Minseo would pop the question every now and then, it was a rare occasion, and Yeona's answer had always been the same.
"But you always say no!" Minseo stomped her foot like a little kid, pouting.
"Yeah cause you know I don't like parties," Yeona paused the movie before turning back to her, "And my answer will always be no, you know that."
"But you need to go out and have some fun! Just come for a few hours, stay next to me and I promise you your experience won't be as shitty as you think it will." Minseo hated seeing her friend sulk around every Friday night, watching zombie movies like the soulless person she was.
It had been awhile since Yeona had gone out of her comfort zone and Minseo wanted to see her experience things she'd never done before. And she wasn't going to take no for an answer, only for tonight that is.
Yeona crossed her arms, "No Minseo, I'm not going to the party."
"No?" Minseo's lips tugged into a mischievous smirk as she slowly started to approach Yeona's bed, her eyes turning dark, "Too bad I don't give two shits about your decision, you're going to this party whether you like it or not."
Yeona gulped and slowly backed up, her legs pushing her far away from the girl just before her back collided with the backboard of her bed, "N-No, I'm not going."
Minseo got on her bed and started crawling towards her laptop, closing the screen with a thud, "Yes you are, I'll do your make up and everything."
Yeona hesitantly slid off her mattress, backing herself into the corner of her room. Minseo copied her movements, a creepy smile plastered on her face as she cornered the girl with no chance of escaping.
"Oh no no no!"
"Oh yes yes yes!"
"No!" Yeona put an arm out in front of her, stopping the girl from coming any closer. She furrowed her eyebrows, crossing her arms as she looked straight into Minseo's eyes.
"Look, I am not leaving my precious bed or our dorm. I'm staying right here in the comfort of my own pajamas. Do you hear me clear? I am not going to this stupid party and that's final!"
