I'm not speaking for everyone but I know sometimes when we read the bible we don't know where to start, or maybe some of us just can't find the right verse that will give them answers. These aren't my words, just something to help people out, I really hope this is helpful and you enjoy it. I personally like reading the New Testaments.

"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name." Psalm 91:14(Read all of Psalm 91)

Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

Albert Einstein

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. And Today? Today is a gift. That's why we call it the present. ~Unknown

Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: "Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."

Ephesians 5:11-14(Read all of Ephesians 5)

Prepare chains, because the land is full of bloodshed and the city is full of violence.

-Ezekiel 7:23

My son, if you accept my

words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and

applying your heart to understanding, and if you call out for insight and cry

aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it

as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find

the knowledge of God.

Proverbs 2:1-5(Read all of Proverbs 2)

Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy

name.

Psalm 103:1(Read

Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."

Message:

Our life is full of brokenness - broken relationships, broken promises, and broken expectations. How can we live with that brokenness without becoming bitter and resentful except by returning again and again to God's faithful presence in our lives? --

Faith is a living and unshakable confidence. A belief in God so assured that a man would die a thousand deaths for its sake. -- Martin Luther

I could not say I believe. I know! I have had the experience of being gripped by something that is stronger than me, something that people call God. ~Unknown

The spirit of Christmas needs to be superseded by the Spirit of Christ. The spirit of Christmas is annual; the Spirit of Christ is eternal. The spirit of Christmas is sentimental; the Spirit of Christ is supernatural. The spirit of Christmas is a human product; the Spirit of Christ is a divine person. That makes all the difference in the world. ~Unknown

The Bible tells us to love our neighbors, and also to love our enemies; probably because they are generally the same people.

~ Gilbert K. Chesterton

If we take one Step towards God, God will Take Ten Steps Towards Us.

What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26 (Read all of Matthew 16)

Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom. At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent. Finally these men said, "We will never find any basis for charges against this man Daniel unless it has something to do with the law of his God."

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Hence we can confidently say, "The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid; what can man do to me?" Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God; consider the outcome of their life, and imitate their faith

Colossians 3:18-19

Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them

Mark 10:6-9

But from the beginning of creation, 'God made them male and female.' 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.' So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder."

1 Corinthians 7:1-16

Now concerning the matters about which you wrote. It is well for a man not to touch a woman. But because of the temptation to immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not rule over her own body, but the husband does; likewise the husband does not rule over his own body, but the wife does. Do not refuse one another except perhaps by agreement for a season, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, lest Satan tempt you through lack of self-control. I say this by way of concession, not of command. I wish that all were as I myself am. But each has his own special gift from God, one of one kind and one of another. To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is well for them to remain single as I do. But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to be aflame with passion. To the married I give charge, not I but the Lord, that the wife should not separate from her husband (but if she does, let her remain single or else be reconciled to her husband) --and that the husband should not divorce his wife. To the rest I say, not the Lord, that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he should not divorce her. If any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he consents to live with her, she should not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband is consecrated through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is consecrated through her husband. Otherwise, your children would be unclean, but as it is they are holy. But if the unbelieving partner desires to separate, let it be so; in such a case the brother or sister is not bound. For God has called us to peace. Wife, how do you know whether you will save your husband? Husband, how do you know whether you will save your wife?

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.

1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived: "Bad Company ruins good morals."

1 Timothy 5:1b-2

...Talk to younger men as you would to your own brothers. Treat older women as you would your mother, and treat younger women with all purity as you would your own sisters.

Deuteronomy 5:16

"Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the LORD your God is giving you."

1 John 3:1

See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don't recognize that we are God's children because they don't know him

Psalm 127:3

Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him.

Ephesians 6:1-3

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with promise: "that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth."

Hebrews 10:24

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works

Romans 6:14

"For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace."

Message:

Let not sin be your master. God is your master and He rules over you. You are always under His control and He controls you only through His mighty grace. His grace is more sufficient for you than anything else in this world.

Romans 13:7

"Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor."

Message:

Give what you owe to others. Make sure to return, what you have received from others. If you have received love, share it back. If you have gained respect from others, then respect them back. Never hesitate to give what you have received.

Psalms 37:4

"Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."

Message:

First of all, be happy with what you already have and thank God. Then praise God for all what you have received. God knows your hearts desires and He will grant them to you at the right time.

Hebrews 13:15

"Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise-the fruit of lips that openly profess his name."

Message:

The most pleasing sacrifice which you can offer God is the sacrifice of praise. Proclaim His mighty deeds and Praise His mighty name. Every word of praise will bring you blessings. Never forget to offer this sacrifice of praise to God, everyday. Give thanks to Him whole-heartedly.

Acts 16:31

"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-you and your household."

Message:

No matter good or bad things happen in your life, believe in God and trust that, apart from all your knowledge and efforts, God can do anything for you. Believe in Him. You and your family will be save and you will override any situation.

Deuteronomy 33:27

"The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemies before you, saying, 'Destroy them!'"

Message:

God's everlasting arms, always surround you. He is your refuge and shield from all your enemies. Before you try to take revenge on your enemies, God will drive them out.

Proverbs 16: 24

"Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones."

Message:

Whenever you speak with others, always try to be polite and speak with kindness and courtesy. You words can comfort a soul and can also hurt a soul. So remember that, your words are sweet and comforting.

Daniel 6:22

"My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.""

Message:

No matter how big the danger or destruction may be, if you are blameless, God will send His angels to protect you. The innocent will never be hurt because God always protects them and guides them.

Psalms 34:19

"The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all."

Message:

Do you have troubles? Then praise God that you are in the path of righteousness. As the Bible says, living a honest life always lead to problems. But do not worry, God will deliver you from all of them and they will be gone within the blink of an eye. Praise God!

2 Corinthians 12:10

"That is why, for Christ's sake, I delightin weaknesses, in insults, in hardships,in persecutions,in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

Message:

When you live for Christ, honestly and righteously, you might face insults, betrayals and misfortunes. But do not forget that, when you physically become weak, you spiritually become stronger.

1 Corinthians 13:6-7

"Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

Message:

If you love someone then, make sure you protect them, trust them and keep your promises. Resist evil and live truthfully with each other.

Proverbs 30:33

"For as churning cream produces butter, and as twisting the nose produces blood, so stirring up anger produces strife."

Message:

When you are angry about something or someone, remember this verse. Being patient and calm, always chills out a big fight. So, when you are angry, stay calm, think and then react gently. Such an act will surely turn any negative situation into a positive one, without you or anyone being hurt.

Proverbs 1:33

"But whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm."

Message:

Do you wish to stay away from fear and harm? Here is the way to safety. Listen to God and live according to His mighty teachings and He will keep you protected.

Isaiah 40:30-31

"Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength."

Message:

At times, when we face failures and sorrow, we become tired and hopeless. But God speaks with you through this verse and asks you to put hope in Him and He will fill you with new energy.

Matthew 24:44

"So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."

Message:

When we prepare ourselves so much, for our office meetings or when guests arrive at our home, how much we all should be prepared for God? Be always ready in order to receive God.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."

Message:

When your dear ones lose hope and confidence, encourage them and boost them up with your energy and motivation. Never insult another person because they are less talented. Encourage them and get the job done.

Philippians 2:5

"In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus."

Message:

In all your relationships, always have a good attitude or thought about each other. Put away your misunderstandings, hatred, ego and revenge. Share everything without secrets and betrayal. Let your characteristics reflect God's teachings.

1 Peter 3:3-4

"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight."

Message:

As we give importance to our outward beauty and good appearance, so as we should also look into our spirit and give importance on how to make it look beautiful. We all know that people look at our outward appearances but only God looks into our hearts. Do you know that your spirit is of great worth in God's sight? By the way, how does one keep his/her heart clean? It is through keeping pureness in the words you speak, in the thoughts you think, the things you see, the things you hear, asking forgiveness for your sins and forgiving others as well. Automatically your spirit will become real beautiful and God will really be happy.

Matthew 5:28

"I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

Message:

Many family relationships break up due to a person's lack of self control. A man who looks at another woman with lustful eyes has committed sin. The same rule applies for woman. Always think that your husband/wife is the beautiful person in the world and no one can take his/her place in your life. Remember this verse, get rid of all the things which may bring in distrust. By doing so, you will surely be the best husband; best wife, best parent, and can build a firm family.

Psalms 121:1-2

"I lift up my eyes to the mountains, where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth."

Message:

Are you worried where would your help come from, when there is no one to help you out? Never lose hope! The creator of heaven and earth is always there to help. Look unto Him and ask Him to be with you and help you throughout your journey towards your goal. He is the Maker of everything and nothing is impossible with Him.

1 Chronicles 16:11

"Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always."

Message:

We fall short to praise God and search for His mercy. We only hope in God, demand for our needs and wishes. We do not keep in mind, the excellent things He has done for us; We do not keep in mind His amazing miracles; We ignore to pay back and thank Him for His elegance and desire on us; The right way to pay back God is to be thankful to Him. Thank Him for all what you have received till now.
