I knocked on the hard, wooden door, but to no avail. Is he trying to hide? Foolish! I banged on the door again and the door seemed to shake as my patience ran thin. For what seemed like forever, I got a reply: "Can't a man eat in peace?".
The door flung open and with his knife and fork still in his dirty hands. Stood Dan. His brown hair greasy and his clothes crusty.
"I've come to arrest you Dan Kelly, on charge of horse-stealing!" I scoffed, puffing my chest in pride.
He looked puzzled at first but then cracked a devious grin.
"Can I at least finish my dinner?" His voice was muffled as he turned back to his family.
