"Alaska, lazy brat! Time to wake up!" A voice echoed through the bedroom and to the ears of a figure laying on a bed. Platinum blonde hair, almost as white, scattered around the pillow as a groan arose from the person it belonged to.

The girls eyes opened to reveal crystal blue as another groan came from the person. "I'm awake" a soft voice called back to the figure by the now open door. "mom, what day is it again?" the girl on the bed, now sitting, asked as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes.

A laugh rippled through the room as the person by the door turned on the lights in the dark bedroom. The figure was revealed to have hair, as dark as the plain night sky, combed over to the right side of his head, yet still slightly stood in the air like it was held by gel.

"sorry to disappoint, but I am Aaron, not your mom" the boy laughed once more before opening his, once closed, eyes to show emerald green eyes staring at the girl before she turned around "Get ready. We have the first day of school today" he said, without turning around, before walking out the room and closed the door behind him.

"School, huh?" the girl, named Alaska, asked herself as she stood up and walked over to her vanity desk and sat in the chair before looking at her reflection in the mirror. With a sigh she picked up her brush and began brushing her blonde hair.

Once her hair looked decent she stood up again. Her wavy hair flowed all the way down to her hips and it would swish side to side as she walked she looked at the school uniform that hung on her dresser. Alaska and Aaron are childhood friends, as well as roommates at the private academy they attended, Rose Academy.

The uniform was different from most schools because the principal wanted the school to be unique. It consisted of a long sleeved white button up blouse with a black vest to go over it and a red tie. The skirt was black and red checkered pattern and went down to her knees. Black socks reached her mid calf and black slip on shoes.

Alaska finished overlooking the uniform with a nod of her head before putting it on. After getting dressed, she put her hair into twin French braids before heading out of her room and to the kitchen. Leaning on his elbows on the wood counter with a mug in his hands was Aaron as he pointed to another mug in front of him.

"Coffee. Drink up" he said as he finished off his drink and cleaned out his mug. Alaska nodded and moved to pick up the mug.

Taking a sip of the coffee caused warmth to spread through her whole body. She let out a hum of approval as her eyes closed before drinking the rest. When she finished Aaron quickly took the mug and begun cleaning it. "Thank you" Alaska's soft voice spoke and after receiving a nod from him, she went to get her backpack. After putting it on the blind picked up Aaron's and handed it to him as he walked over and the left the dorm together.

They walked towards the school building in silence like they normally would. The silence was interrupted though when a loud "Aaron!" was heard before a girl suddenly jumped onto the said boys back. "Good morning dear brother!" the girl greeted before she was pushed of his back by the boy himself.

"What do you want Rachel? Oh... I forgot you are starting high school this year..." Aaron frowned slightly by his realization that his little sister will be at his school now.

If someone saw the two together, they may think they were twins. They both had the same green eyes and black hair, but Rachel's was bleached blonde at the tips of her straight hair that reached down to her shoulders. The only other physical difference between the two siblings would be their height. While Rachel was about five foot five, and Alaska was five foot one, Aaron on the other hand was five foot ten.

Suddenly, Rachel saw Alaska standing next to Aaron and threw a glare at her. The only response she received for the glare was a sigh from Alaska before she turned towards Aaron . "I am gonna go to my locker by myself while you spend time with your sister" she told him before turning around and walked away without waiting for an answer.

"Ah... Alaska?" the said girl heard him say as she left. 'jeez... I still don't understand why Rachel hates me, but oh well...' she thought to herself.

She was suddenly pulled away from her thoughts as she ran into another person and they both fell to the floor. "ouch" they both said at the same time. The person she ran into quickly stood up and offered his hand to her.

Alaska looked at him as he spoke "Ah! I am so sorry! Are you alright?" the first thing she noticed when she looked at him was his short, spiky strawberry blond hair, that has red tips, and made her think of a warm fire on a cold night. She then grabbed his hand as she stood up. When she was up and standing, their eyes locked together and she was shocked to be looking at two different eye colors.

"Pretty" her soft voice whispered as she stared at the boys eyes.

After hearing her soft voice and the compliment from the girl, he blushed before noticing he was still holding her hand. "Oh... ah sorry!" he quickly said and let go of her hand. He looked at her and couldn't help but admire her soft looking platinum blonde hair and her cold and clear blue eyes. He blushed a little more before we finally introducing himself, "I am Isaac Walter by the way."

"Alaska Green" she simply replied "I have to go... See you around Isaac." then she walked away leaving him to stare as she left.

Alaska stopped by her locker before she got to her first class, homeroom. Though she was supposed to be a sophomore, she managed to skip a grade and was put as a Junior. Upon arriving to her classroom, she looked around. Not many people arrived yet because she was early so she was able to spot Aaron right away and sat in the seat in front of him. "Found you" she said with her normal deadpan expression.

"Alaska! Why did you leave me earlier!?" he yelled at her catching the attention of the few people already in the room and a familiar blonde and red haired boy just now entering.

Alaska shrugged "I figured you wanted to be with your sister?"

Aaron was about to retaliate, but was cut off by another voice "Alaska? You're a Junior like me?" Isaac asked, sitting next to her in the process.

"Yes"

"she she skipped a grade. She should be a sophomore, but she is too smart for it." Aaron added in and glared at Isaac, "who are you?" he asked in a harsh voice.

With a sigh, Alaska leaned over Aaron's desk towards him, causing him to look at her. Their faces were only an inch away from each other. Everyone in the, now crowded, room had their eyes on them and whispering about what was happening. Isaac was glaring at Aaron, and Aaron himself was completely red from the closeness and Alaska showed no emotion through it all.

As if she had super speed, Alaska flicked Aaron on the nose before sitting normally and looked at Isaac. "I am sorry for his attitude," she apologized "his name is Aaron Lewis. He is my childhood friend." she announced loud enough for all the gossiping students to hear her. Many sighs of relief came from the girls and Alaska rolled her eyes.

"Oh... I-it's ok! No-No problem a-at all!" Isaac stuttered back

Hours later, the three of then were all sitting in the cafeteria eating, more like the boys were eating and Alaska was sitting on her phone texting. She smiled down at her phone.

"Carter?" was all Aaron asked and he got a nod from the girl in return. Noticing the confused look from isaac he sighed, "Carter Grey. Alaska's first ever friend. They are normally inseparable, but he went to study abroad for a while" he explained as Isaac nodded.

Alaska loved Carter as a brother and she really missed him. She could count the amount of friends she had on one hand. Another buzz from her phone caught her attention and she looked down towards her phone

Car: Hey Al! How is your first day of school?

Al: Good. I skipped to Junior year so I am in some of Aaron's classes.

Al: Oh, I also made a new friend. His name is Isaac Walter. I don't think Aaron likes him though because he keeps glaring at him.

Car: Hahaha! Don't worry Al, Aaron is just being a teen boy. He just doesn't want to share such a cute girl with other boys.

Al: What do you mean? Also, I am not cute. Stop saying that lie...

Car: Al, it is not a lie. Anyways, I wanted to tell you. I am coming back for school and I will be at Rose Academy with you.

Al: Really!?

Car: Yep. Oh, I have to go now, Bye Al!

Al: Bye Car!

Alaska looked away from her phone and set it down before she tackled Aaron into a hug. When he looked at the girl on his back, he saw a huge smile on her usually blank face. "W-what's wrong Alaska?" he asked worried as her smile grew slightly.

"Car is coming home and to Rose Academy!"

Aaron's eyes grew wide, "for real!?" and she nodded with her smile "I don't know if I should be happy or annoyed about that..." Aaron laughed slightly.

"If he is a friend coming home, why would you be annoyed?" Isaac questioned as he watched the other two. Alaska finally put her phone away and started to eat her food and Aaron just sat there next to her and looking at Isaac.

Another small laugh came from Aaron "Don't get me wrong" he started "I love him like a brother and all, but he is way too clingy" before Isaac could question what he meant, Aaron spoke again "Not to me! He is very clingy with Alaska"

The blonde boy nodded and cleaned up his lunch mess. After a while the bell rang signalling to head to sixth period. All three of them have different classes and Isaac spilt from them first and Aaron chose to walk Alaska to her classroom. Whispers broke the silence between the childhood friends as they walked down the hall with everyone around them gossiping about the two.

Aaron is extremely popular in school due to his looks and surprisingly his attitude as well. He was labeled as "The Bad Boy" kind of popular. You see, in Rose Academy, there is something called popularity titles. If you are popular then you have a certain title to go with it. Alaska on the other hand was not popular at all. She had very few friends and all the girls in the school hate her because they claim she is "taking Aaron away from them" so they all hate her. Her being childhood friends with Aaron doesn't affect her popularity, which she is fine with.

Soon enough they arrived to her class and Alaska sat in a seat while Aaron stood in front of her desk and she looked up at him from her seat. He laid his hand on top of her head and ruffled her hair with a straight face "Pay attention in class. Just because I am not in here doesn't mean you can slack off." he demanded to her.

The shy blonde hit his hand off her head "I am not a child Aaron" she deadpanned. Aaron only laughed as he turned and walked out of the room.

Not long after he left whispers ran through the room filled with lies about Alaska. She just gave a small sigh before pulling out a notebook labelled " My Sonnets" from her bag and opened it to a page that had what looked like a type of poem.

                                                           "I wasn't, but I feel like i'm betrayed.

The feeling of being alone is bad.

Do I have real friends, or am I dazed?

I feel as if I am hated.

                                                                                           ~

I know I am loved, but thoughts don't stop.

I'm loved, yet I feel the hatred.

Felt high and mighty, then came a big drop.

When alone, I think and I feel like lead

                                                                                          ~

Writing is a get away from my life.

It makes me feel a hundred times better.

I say "I'm fine," but it hurts like a knife.

I can't say it, so this is my letter.

                                                                                            ~

Maybe soon I can tell it all to you.

That is all I will ever want to do.

Alaska didn't notice someone over her shoulder until the person spoke to her. "We all feel that way at some point." The blonde's eyes widen when she turned around to see curly fiery red hair. She quickly slammed her notebook shut before glaring at the other girl but stopped when cold blue eyes met calming hazel. "Hello, I am Cynthia Brookes!" she greeted with a smile.

"A-Alaska... Alaska Green" she stuttered back "D-Did you read it?"

Cynthia rubbed the nape of her neck "Hehehe... Sorry about that, but like I said. We all feel like that sometimes

"Doubt it"

"Well, it's true" she commented back with a frown before smiling at Alaska again "Would you like to be friends?"

Alaska's eyes widen "W-What? Really...?" She questioned with doubt. All her doubts about it being real left when Cynthia nodded her head. Hesitantly she pulled a piece of paper out of her notebook, and scribbles something on it real fast before handing it to the red head with a small blush on her pale cheeks. When she grabbed the paper, Alaska turned back around only to have the bell ring and the teacher began speaking.

Cynthia looked down at the paper in her hands and saw a ten digit number on the paper, which she realized was a phone number, and a small note that said "Text me whenever... Cyn." She smiled at the note as she slid it into her bag and listened to the teacher.

The final bell of the school day rang and the once empty halls were flooded with people. Among the students was a girl, with almost white hair, walking around and managed to escape the crowd at a locker that she opened. Not much later and a hand plopped down on her head and started to ruffle her hair "Have a good day Alaska?" the voice of Aaron asked.

The girl turned around and nodded at him to signal she did and then noticed Isaac was with him and she raised an eyebrow at the two.

"We were assigned to be partners in a project. He will be coming over to our dorm today to work on it" he explained and earned a nod as Alaska closed her locker.

Isaac's eyes widened "W-wait... Your room? You two are roommates!? How?" he questioned without yelling somehow. As far as the rules go, boys and girls couldn't share a room, so how could they?

"Oh, Alaska had some problem in a way with the other girls and it kept getting worse. The principal decided that she and I would live in the same room because I had no roommate and because we are childhood friends" Aaron explained to him as they left the school building and headed towards the dorms.

Due to being a boy and girl sharing the dorm room, they have a different type of room from everyone else. They have a small kitchen and living room, a small bathroom, and two small bedrooms for them to sleep in. Upon arriving to the room, Alaska unlocked the door and allowed the two boys in as they all set their bags down. She walked off to the kitchen to prepare them all drinks as the boys went to the couch, but froze at what they saw.

After a minute Alaska came out with a small metal tray and three cups on it. She walked over to the boys curious why they were just standing there, but when she saw what was on the couch she froze. The metal tray and drinks slipped from her hands and clattered to the ground causing the boys to look at her.

Laying on the couch was a figure with messy chocolate brown hair that was long enough to cover part of his ears but was still short to be considered a boys hairstyle. As the tray clattered to the ground the person groaned as his eyes opened to reveal striking sea green eyes. The only thing everyone heard was Alaska's already soft voice whisper "Car?"
