Chenle's POV
My name is Zhong Chenle, and I was born in the greatest era of all time: The Era of Illusion.
The Era of Illusion is a time of escaping. In these times, we all try to escape the cold grip of reality.
We have many ways to escape from the things we all wish to escape from like school, politics, or just everyone and everything around us. We escape using the Illusions, or advanced technology, of our time.
There's new generation phones, televisions, and most importantly, video games. As an example, the 3DS has evolved into the 8DS. And now instead of having one controller for each console, we can use one single controller for just about all of them called the Omni-Controller.
There's even a device called an Omni-Console. No more having to buying more than one console when you have all of them in one system, even the old age ones.
But there's one special place where just about everyone comes to escape. A virtual reality that easily tops every game on the market. A place you could even live in, if you have the right tools and means to do so.
This is a place known all around as Kingdom Kome.

Although it may seem and look like an actual real life bed room, it's made entirely out of pixels.
I know having a couch right next to my bed may seem ridiculous, but it's nice and convenient to me~.
But I don't usually sleep in my bed. I'll end up sleeping on my couch or on the floor with my cats at times, especially since I'm technically one of them~.
Unlike most players in the game, I decided to customize my avatar to make myself unique. My avatar's name is Apøllø, so I go by that name in Kingdom Kome.
My cats' names are Arid and Angler. Arid likes playing by himself sometimes, while Angler likes clinging to me all the time. But I think it's cute how they're so different~.
I have six friends in Kingdom Kome: Brd, Çobrą, Šcoūt, Jūmpr, Strykr, and my best friend Pįt.
Even though I prefer not to fight and just explore this world, they all still accept me and my decision. This world is great in the sense that everyone is always here.
It's where you meet almost all of your friends, and our wide variety of digital interfaces help us find them easily.

This is a map of Kingdom Kome.
It's not a map of the entire game's layout of course, but it's the main one. There are many other maps of many other places within the game.
In my opinion, the creator was a genius when he made this map a hand. It makes it all the more unique.

I figured he'd be there.
Planet Iabos has some of the highest level enemies in KK, and also some of the lowest. Players like Pįt fight to protect worlds like Iabos.
He goes by the name Pįt for a reason. His avatar is literally Pit from Kid Icarus.
Pįt likes to wear a scouter on his face, so if anyone sends him messages or starts a video chat, he won't be as distracted.
It also helps him get a better view of his inventory, scores, and of course, rings.
We actually became best friends in the most cliche way. He saved me, or rather my avatar, when I was in my first battle. We started fighting together after that, but I haven't been interested in fighting so much lately.
In a matter of seconds, he answered the video call that I started.
"Kid Icarus~"
"Baby Mittens~"
He teased.
"I told you not to call me that..."
"I know~. But you really should be down here with us man"
"Us?"
"Yeah. Brd and Jūmpr are here too"
"And are those Dark Gaia minions that you're fighting?"
"Hell yeah. A whole army of them too"
Dark Gaia minions are some of the weakest, yet most persistent NPCs in KK.
They differ in size and power, but they're not all that powerful.
They come from Sonic Unleased, and anyone who's played the game knows that they love attacking in large groups. But even in large groups, they're still not all that powerful at all. They just believe that there's strength in numbers. Not in their case though.
And when they actually do realize this, they try to hold inhabitants hostage. But unfortunately for them, their plans never work out in the end.
"Sorry to burst your bubble Icarus, but there's a new race tomorrow night and I need to prepare for it"
"THAT'S TOMORROW NIGHT?! I THOUGHT IT WAS NEXT WEEK!"
"Guess again compadre. But we all need to get ready. I'll tell the others, and you guys can finish saving Iabos from utter turmoil"
"Roger. See you tomorrow night then"
He ended the call to continue getting kills, while I have to get ready for the real world. I have school in an hour, but I can still alert everyone before I sign out.
"Computer. Relay this message to Brd, Çobrą, Šcoūt, Jūmpr, Strykr, and Pįt.
'The race starts tomorrow night at twenty-hundred hours. It will be held on Planet Drift. The winner wins the first key to the adventure, a Chaos Emerald. Meet up on the race tracks. Be there, or be square'"
