Dylan's POV
Y/N and I used to be inseparable. We met on the set of Teen Wolf. She played a minor character who was only in a few episodes, but before she left I asked her out. We dated for a year and a half after that.
Until I screwed it up.
It was a dumb mistake that I'm going to regret for the rest of my life. Y/N was filming a new TV show, The Librarians and I was away filming The First Time. We talked every day, until her filming schedule got more intense.
I was proud of her. She loved her role and she loved that she was in more scenes, but I hated that it made it harder for me to spend time with her.
I should've talked to her about it and explained how I was feeling. There's a lot of things I should've done differently. Like talked to her more, made more of an effort, paid more attention to her, and treated her like she was the only thing that mattered in my life because she was.
I didn't do that. I didn't do any of that.
I shouldn't have gone to the bar with Britt, Victoria, James, and Halston. I shouldn't have had so many beers.
I especially shouldn't have gone home with Britt.
The next morning, I woke up with a hangover that made me want to throw up. I turned over and that urge to throw up got stronger. Britt was asleep next to me. That was when I noticed I was completely naked.
I mumbled a few swear words as I jumped up and scrambled to get dressed. All I could think of as I tripped over clothes was how could I do this to Y/N? And how in the hell was I going to explain it to her?
I unlocked my phone to tell her and immediately saw a least 15 notifications. The minute I opened Twitter I swore under my breath. The only thing on my feed was a picture of Britt and I making out. My heart sank knowing that Y/N had seen it by now.
When I tried to call her and explain, she ignored my calls. All 29 of them. She ignored my texts. All 42 of them. Finally, she sent me three different texts;
Y/N ❤️: Please stop calling me.
Y/N ❤️: I can't do this anymore.
Y/N ❤️: We both knew this was coming.
I read those texts over and over again. I wanted nothing more than to explain to her how much I loved her and how sorry I was but I obeyed her wishes and didn't call her.
Maybe I should have called her.

Here I was, four months later waiting for an interview with the Teen Wolf cast to start still missing Y/N.
I was currently scrolling through her Instagram like I do at least five times a day. "Dylan," Tyler sighed as he walked over to me. "You're just torturing yourself."
"We used to be so happy," I mumbled. "But then I went and screwed it up." I angrily put my phone back in my pocket.
"Dyl, I've been telling you this since the night it happened. Talk to her."
"I tried," I sighed, running my hands through my hair.
"No you didn't!" He sighed before lowering his voice. "Dylan, you say you tried to talk to her, but if you'd really tried, you'd still be together."
I sat in the interview, not really paying any attention. I answered questions that were directed at me and then went back to thinking about Y/N.
"So Dylan," the interviewer said, making me snap back to reality. "I hate to bring this up, but you and Y/F/N Y/L/N have been separated for four months now. How have you been doing?"
I looked at Tyler to see him sending me a knowing look. "To be honest, terribly. I lost the most important person in my life and I regret it every second of every day. I wish I could get a second chance, but I don't deserve it. She's too good for me," I shrugged.
"Everyone deserves a second chance," the interviewer offered. I just pressed my lips together and shrugged.
When I got home after the interview, I paced back and forth. All I wanted was to hear her voice again. Before I could talk myself out of it, I dialed the number I could never forget, even if I tried.
I held my breath, waiting for her to answer. I rolled my eyes, feeling stupid for believing she would even consider answering my call. I was just about to hang up when the ringing stopped.
"Hey, Dylan."
My breath got caught in my throat when I heard her angelic voice say my name. "Y/N," her name rolled off my tongue. "I uhh. . . I didn't think you would answer." I bit my tongue at how stupid that sounded.
"To be honest, I didn't think I would either," she chuckled. Damn, I've missed that laugh.
"Then why did you?" I hesitated to ask.
"Because. . . Because I saw your interview this morning and. . . I miss you," she whispered the last part.
"Really?" I cleared my throat when my voice broke.
"What you said about you not deserving a second chance," she sighed.
Suddenly there was a knock at my door. Confused, I went to answer it with my phone still pressed to my ear. I opened the door and my phone almost fell from my ear when I saw Y/N on my doorstep.
"You do," she finished. I stepped forward and pressed my lips to hers. I relaxed when she started kissing me back. I wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her as close to me as I could.
Our lips moved in sync as I brought her into my apartment and kicked the door shut. She pulled away, breathless. "Dylan," she whispered as I pressed my forehead to hers.
"I'm so sorry, Y/N." I said as I pulled away and cupped her cheek with my hand. "I was drunk and an idiot. I never should've. . . There are so many things I should and shouldn't have done. I am so so so sorry."
"I'm sorry too." She said softly, biting her lip.
"For what?"
"I should've heard you out. Instead of ignoring you, I should've let you explain. I should've. . ." I cut her off by pressing my lips to hers.
"There were a lot of things we both should and shouldn't have done," I whispered, our foreheads pressed together. I pulled away and cupped her cheek in my hand. "Let's not focus on what happened. Let's focus on us. Let's start over. You are the most important person in the world to me. Losing you was the worse thing that has ever happened to me. I promise, I won't lose you again. I love you, Y/N. I've never stopped loving you."
"I never stopped loving you either," she whispered.
I pressed my lips to hers. I heard her giggle as I picked her up and spun her around. "I've missed you so much," I said once I had put her down.
"I've missed you too."
