I flutter my eyes open as my alarm goes off. I mutter under my breath and turn off my alarm.
I get up off the mattress and swish my curtains open. The bright rays of the sun instantly blind me. As I adjust to the rays I can see mixtures of orange, red, and yellow leaves fall on the ground.
I go into the bathroom and do my usual buisness.
After changing into my clothes I check my calender.
Friday October 30, 2014.
Halloween was coming soon and I didn't even think of getting a costume.
I head out to the kitchen, where a plate of Pop-tarts and a Capri-sun pouch awaits me.
I quickly grab it and go for the door.
"I'm off to school mom. I'll see you later."

It's barely third period and I can hear everyone near me talk about the annual Halloween dance.
Every year there is some sort of a Macklin here. The Macklin's are known for throwing a huge Halloween party every year. This year, Nate Macklin, is hosting the party. Nate is a Junior that everyone knows. He isnt a douche, but he isnt exactly a saint either.
I have never been to any of his Halloween partys before. Freshman and Sophmore year I didn't exactly have freedoms like the other kids. I had to slowly get them. This year, I am definitely going.
From what I heard, the party's can get pretty wild. They are so big that a teacher even attended. Alot of people have either lost their virginity, passed out, or even found romance from just attending these party's.
Nate likes to keep it big, so this year he invited everyone to come.
The bell rings and we all shuffle out of the classroom.
I head to my locker to see a neon pink sheet stuck to it.
"An official invitation to Nate Macklin's 5th annual Halloween party.
Bring whomever you want.
Make sure to dress up! Can't wait to see you there. ;)
Time: October 31.
Place: 908 W Perkins Ave."
I look around and every single locker is covered in posters.
I take mine and put it in my binder.

I settle at the table I usually eat at. Cameron comes and I see that he has a neon green sheet with him. His eyebrows furrow as he reads it. He looks up and hands me the paper.
"What is this?" He asks
"It's a invitation to Nate's huge party!" I say.
"And I'm invited?" He says, clearly surprised.
"Everyone is. He likes to keep it big. Are you going?"
He takes the paper back. He looks it over one more time before taking a deep breath.
"No."
"Why not?" I ask.
"Well, Lulu already asked me if I wanted to go with her. I told her no, and she went on rambling on how I was going with you and that we were a thing." He said.
"Ahh, I understand." I say poking at my food.
