Eventually, the senses dull.
The mind wanders.
The soul-- escapes its chains of ethereal reality. It is simply unavoidable.
So the pain cannot stay painful forever. It will leave, it always does.
When your body is too tired to feel.
Your mind too exhausted to think.
Your spirit, too wasted to stay rooted to this earth.
Tranquility follows pain.
Like the calm after the storm.
When the waves relinquish, and fall back into the sea.
There is no rainbow left. No mystical gold, nor creature protecting it.
There is only calm. Deep, silent, ever pervasive calm
