Amanda's POV:

I couldn't take the sight of blood coming from the drunk guys mouth. All I wanted to do was get on the floor and lick it up even though it was disgusting.

"I have to get out of here," I whisper to myself before making my way out of the club. My senses were clouded and all I could feel was hungry.

I could feel my eyes changing and my mouth aching. I couldn't control myself in there. The blood was making me go insane and I couldn't help it. Why does this have to happen right now?

I walk around the corner of the club and find a dark ally to compose myself. I take deep breaths through my nose and almost throw up because of the horrible smell of garbage and vomit.

I hear a door close and feel a presence hovering over me. My luck of getting away from people is wearing thin and my hunger is still making everything ache.

I cover my mouth and pull myself off the ground so I can get away but of course the person grabs onto my arm.

"Are you ok?" The man asks and rubs my arms reassuringly.

"Why couldn't you just leave me alone?" I groan while trying to take a step away from him but his hand on my arm keeps me in place.

"Lets get you inside. I'll make you a water," he explains while trying to pull me to the door.

"Listen, I don't know who you are but you have to get out of here," I explain while keeping my eyes on the ground. I knew they completely changed from gold to red because of the bloodlust.

"After we get you inside," he says while pulling me again towards the door. Everything starts to ache as I can hear his blood pumping through his veins, making my hunger even more apparent. Before I could stop myself I snap. Without even realizing it, I push him to the back of the building and have my fangs deep in his neck with my hands holding his mouth so he cant scream. I can't control myself at this point. I didn't like that I was like this but all I could do is kill.

His blood soaks my tongue and starts trailing down my throat. His blood is way to sweet for my liking but I can't stop myself. I want more. I need more.

His body starts to become limp in my arms as I continue to drain him while taking my time slurping up the extra sweet flavor.

A hum comes from behind me but I ignore it. Maybe I'll have some desert with my meal. Someone clears their throat from behind me but I still ignore it. Finally I'm forcefully pulled away and slung to the ground.

"What the fuck!" I yell at the light skinned man that was now holding my meal in his arms.

"You drank so much the guy is almost unconscious. Learn to control yourself!" He barks in a husky voice.

I ignore him and decide now is the time to leave. I pick myself up off the ground and make my way to the front of the building. Before I could even walk a block away, the man was in front of me again.

"You have blood on your lips," he states while crossing his arms over his chest.

I wipe my lips and walk around the stranger. I hear his footsteps following me so I quicken my pace but he stays right on my trail. So I run. I run as fast as I can. I run with all the speed I can until I'm at my hotel door.

"So annoying," I whisper to myself as I grab my key card out of my pocket and insert it into the door.

"I help you out and now I'm annoying?" The same voice asks me.

I whirl around and look up at the man. He's still in the same stance as before with his arms over his chest. I notice ink wrapping around his arms and some on his neck.

"What's up with your eyes?" He asks while leaning close to my face. I don't answer him. I just squint my eyes and turn back to the door. I need to be alone but it doesn't seem like he'll give up.

I slide the key down and make my way into the room. Before I can shut the door in his face, he's sitting on my bed and taking off his shoes.

"What do you think you're doing?" I ask while standing in front of him with my hands on my hips.

"So you can talk?" He asks while giving a small gasp, smiling right after.

I roll my eyes at him and head to the couch on the other side of the room to take off my heels. Maybe if I ignore him he'll go away.

"First, I want you to answer my questions," he states while laying back on his elbow. I eye him for a second before giving in.

"Why should I? Why shouldn't I throw you out of here or just kill you?" I ask while leaning back on the soft fabric of the couch.

"Woah woah woah, I'm just trying to be friendly! Either way, by the looks of it you're not that old so I'd be able to beat you," he laughs which slightly tick me off.

He was right about that. I've only been a vampire for one year and I have no clue how long he has. I better not risk it. Last thing I need is to be killed before I get the chance for revenge.

"What's your name?" He asks and sits up once again.

I can't tell him my actual name. I have to stay hidden. I guess a random name will do.

"Julia Alford, and you?" I ask while picking myself up off the couch and walking towards the closet where my suitcase is.

"Elijah Lewis at your service!" He says with way to much enthusiasm.

I grab some clothing and carry myself to the bathroom where I change into an oversized T-shirt and elastic shorts.

"Why do your eyes look like that?" He yells to me while I pull my hair into a sloppy bun. What is this guy planning?

I walk back out to be met with Elijah's shirtless body.
What does he think he's doing? My eyes trail down his perfect chest that have a few tattoos. He may be annoying but he's pretty nice to look at...

"My eyes are up here," he laughs but I'm not amused.

"Why did you follow me?" I ask while crossing my arms over my chest.

"I'll answer your question when you answer mine," he states while leaning back on his elbows again. What's with this dude?

"I'm special, now why are you here?" I don't really want to tell the story so I try to avoid it every time.

"No no no, tell me. I don't want none of that I'm special shit," he chuckles while meeting my eyes. This guy is really persistent.

"Do I really have to tell you the whole story," I groan and walk back to the couch. Maybe if I tell him, he'll go away?

"You can shorten it if you want," he shrugs and sits up a little.

"I was human but had pure blooded vampire blood in me," I state, hoping he won't ask for more detail. But of course I'm always wrong.

"How?" Is all he asks.

"My family has pure bloods in them," I respond.

"So let me guess, you were changed and since you had pure blood in you, you're eyes turned red but they also turned gold because of the person who changed you," he says with a huge grin.

"Exactly," I admit.

"Why didn't your maker (person who changed you) teach you how to control yourself while feeding?" He asks while scratching his head.

"Because he doesn't know I'm a vampire. He decided to kill me but didn't realize that I had his blood in my system," I shrug.

"Damn, that must suck," he says before standing up and walking towards the tv to turn it on.

"Why did you follow me?" I ask while watching as he walks back over to the bed and lays back down.

He scratches his head and turns over so he's now on his stomach before continuing, "I'm actually here to take you back with me... I'm from the coven that is trying to kill you," he states and my breath hitches in my throat.

How could I be so stupid? To be chatting it up with a vampire I don't even know and answering all of his questions is a dumb thing to do.

I jump from my spot on the couch and bare my fangs at him. He jumps up and does the same thing back to me before throwing his hands in the air in a sign of surrender. "Calm down and hear me out!" He shouts and takes a step forward.

"Screw off!" I yell back, "I'm so stupid for even letting you stay here!"

"I'm not here to take you back! I can tell you aren't a bad person and don't deserve to die. I'm here to help," he explains but I don't listen. All I'm thinking about is how I'm going to escape.

"Don't even think about running! I'm 10 times your age and will be able to keep up with you. Just sit back down and let's talk," he says while putting his fangs away and sitting back down on the bed.

I end up doing the same but I keep my guard up. The last thing I need to do is get comfortable again.

"I'm from a special unit that my superiors send out. We see if the rogue is able to be saved and put into a coven. I was very lucky to find you because we've been looking for you for almost a year," he states while rubbing his chin.

"Who are your superiors?" I bluntly ask. I don't care what he has to say.

"Dylan Harper is the leader of our coven and he's the one who sent me out to find you. He doesn't want to hurt you," he says.

Of course it had to be the one who sent me to my grave. I can't let Elijah know about any of this. If I want to stay alive, I need to keep my mouth shut.

"Why should I trust you?" I ask while rubbing my sweaty hands on the couch.

"Honestly, you don't have a choice. All I can say is if I was sent to kill you then I would have back at the club," he admits with a shrug.

"I'm guessing that means you're going to be with me twenty-four seven?" I question.

"I can't trust that you won't run away, so yeah," he says and rubs his chin.

"Well at least I'll have a partner to go to clubs with," I chuckle before putting my head in my hands.

~~~
I ended up taking the bed while Elijah sprawled out on the couch. I stayed up most of the night at the thought that he would kill me. I kept an eye on his figure as it slowly slumped as the night went on.
I slowly realized he was telling the truth and drifted off into a deep sleep. I now have to figure out how to escape from him so I won't end up being killed later down the road.
I roll out of the bed and sneak out before Elijah wakes up. I'm not trying to escape just yet, just need food. I walk the streets and find an alleyway that was shaded from the buildings.
Just as I find a spot on the wall to stand without being seen, a women in workout clothing jogs her way over to me. I can feel the smile growing on my face as my prey comes closer and closer. As soon as she's in arms reach, I grab her and pin her against the wall. I muffle her screams with my palm and use my other to keep her in place.
"Don't move or make a sound," I command and let my arm fall away from her.
She stands as still as a statue with the look of horror on her face. I watch as blood lightly taps on her veins making them bulge out a little.  My eyes begin to turn color as the thump of her heart goes faster.
"Control yourself," I hear Elijah say from beside me.
My eyes flick to him and I can feel all my control slowly fading. I look back as the women's neck and inch closer to her.
I can't do this anymore. I need to eat!
I grab onto her by the back of her neck and plunge my fangs deep into her neck. Her blood pools into my mouth in a salty wave of pleasure. I continue drinking and feel as her body starts slumping against my arms. The feeling of euphoria washes over me as her pulse becomes lighter and lighter.
"Enough," Elijah says close to my ear while pulling me away from the women.
I resist him but I know if I continue he's going to throw me to the ground again. I let go and lick the remaining blood from her wound as Elijah pulls the women to him.
"Lesson one, how to control when feeding," he hums to himself while healing the women with his blood.
