jackson got out of his car arriving at exactly 6'o clock.
he rang the doorbell and waited for someone to answer the door.
a woman opened the door then she gasped.
"you're jackson wang!" she yelled excitedly.
jackson bowed, "hello."
she squealed, "you're even more handsome in real life."
jackson giggled and thanked her.
"is mark there?" he asked.
she nodded her head and called mark.
she stepped aside and revealed mark.
jackson was stunned.
although mark's outfit was simple, he was still breathtaking.
"wow, you look amazing," jackson breathed out.
"thank you, you look handsome gaga," mark replied shyly.
jackson gave him a huge smile and grabbed his hand.
"let's go on our date shall we."
the car ride was filled with small talk and soft music playing in the background.
jackson had told mark that they were going to be going to three places today and that the first place was not too far from his house. however, he still would not tell mark where they were going, wanting it to be a surprise until they got there.
"so whatever i'm wearing is fine for where we're going right?" mark asked to confirm.
"yes yi-en, i told you you look amazing didn't i?" jackson responded.
they were about 2 minutes away from the rollerskating place.
he hoped mark knew how to rollerblade but he also wished that he didnt so that he was able to hold his hand the entire time.
they finally reached their destination and mark read the sign outside.
his eyes lit up.
"you took me to a roller skating rink!" mark yelled excitedly and quickly got out of the car.
jackson laughed at the boy's excitement and followed him to the entrance.
he had reserved the entire rink so that there wouldn't be any sasaengs or paparazzi to bother their date.
"welcome," a lady greeted as soon as they stepped in.
her face lit up in recognition, "ah jackson wang!"
jackson smiled at her.
"hello," he said.
the lady smiled back, "you guys have the place reserved for an hour. what are your shoe sizes so i can get your skates."
"8.5," mark told her.
"7.5," jackson responded.
mark giggled quietly after the girl went to the back room to get their skates.
jackson pouted, "what are you laughing at?"
"you got small feet," mark said.
jackson whined,"stop making fun of my feet."
mark laughed even more.
the girl came back and handed each of them their skates.
"enjoy!"
mark and jackson entered the rink and sat on one of the benches to put their skates on.
mark carefully stood up and tested the skates.
he learned how to skate before, but it's been a while so he had to be careful.
jackson stood up as well almost falling down if it wasn't for mark who caught his arm.
"you okay?" mark questioned.
jackson nodded his head, trying to walk on the skates but almost slipping.
mark laughed loudly and grabbed jackson's hand so he wouldn't fall down.
"you choose to take me out to a roller skating rink, yet you don't know how to skate," mark teased making jackson blush.
"just step one foot then the other and glide," mark said demonstrating the acting.
jackson tried doing what he was told. jackson almost fell but he caught himself before the embarrassment.
he tried again and succeeded.
"i'm doing it yi-en!"
an hour flew by fast as the two boys had fun skating, dancing to the music, and holding on to each other.
smiles were permanently attached to each of the boy's faces.
they were now leaving the rink to go to their second location.
"that was really fun jackson, thank you for taking me there," mark told jackson sincerely.
jackson beamed, happy that mark was enjoying so far.
he started the car and they took off to the arcade place.
mark was really excited to see where they were going next.
colorful lights brightened up mark's face.
"the arcade!" he exclaimed.
mark was jumping up and down on his seat, as if he was a little kid again and jackson knew he made the right choice.
they got out of the car and entered the place.
again, jackson reserved the place.
mark was in awe that they had the whole place to theirselves again.
he also felt bad that jackson was spending all this money on him.
as jackson was about to purchase coins for the games, mark stopped him.
jackson gave him a concerned look.
"i'll pay for it," mark told him taking out his wallet.
jackson immediately declined.
"no, im that one who took you out, i'll pay."
mark squinted his eyes at him.
"i was the one who asked you out," he fired back.
jackson pouted, not fighting mark because he knew he was right.
"fine, but only for this," he responded.
mark laughed,"yeah, yeah we'll see."
mark purchased the coins,"what should we play first?"
jackson dragged him to skee ball.
they put in their coins and got their balls.
"oh you are so going down," jackson told mark.
mark chuckled,"again, we'll see."
they both furiously rolled the hard balls to try and get the higher score.
so far, jackson had the most points until mark's ball went into a 10,000.
"game over," the machines said.
mark screamed excitedly, "i won!"
jackson pouted.
"i'll beat you in the next game."
the next game, jackson lost.
and then the other.
then the other.
every single game they competed in, he was the loser.
he was feeling discouraged and mark was noticing this.
the last game they decided to play was basketball and jackson had no hope.
mark decided to let him win.
"3,2,1 start," the game told them.
mark began to shoot the basketballs but missing every shot while jackson shot and made every single one in.
this encourage jackson, making him speed up even more.
mark smiled and stopped shooting the balls to watch jackson instead.
"new high score," the machine read.
"good job!" mark told him.
jackson squealed happily and turned to hug mark.
"i did it! i beat you."
they were now at a restaurant nearby.
unfortunately, jackson did not reserve the place so other people were with them.
he hoped that nobody would recognize him and start bothering mark and him.
they ordered their food and started talking to each other.
"did i tell you, you look really amazing today," jackson said to mark.
mark gave him a big soft smile, which sent jackson's heart to palpitations.
"you did, multiple times today," mark reminded him.
jackson laughed, "it's your fault for being so beautiful."
mark blushed.
"says you," he mumbled.
mark continued, "you're like so handsome, talented, funny, sweet, beautiful, hard working and i still can't believe you're on a date with me. you're everything i'm not."
jackson became sad at mark's words.
he was upset that mark did not look at himself the same way jackson looked at him.
right when jackson opened his mouth to respond back to mark, their food arrived so he didn't have the chance to say anything.
the two ate in silence.
jackson turned off the car after he pulled up on mark's parents's driveway.
mark unbuckled his seat belt to leave the car.
however, before he could get out, jackson stopped him.
they stared deep into each other eyes.
"mark, i seriously can't believe you don't think that you're beautiful, kind, amazing, ( positive words that describe mark because my vocabulary is limited LMAO). these are the main reasons why i like you and i would never forget to remind you everyday if you let me be your boyfriend," jackson told mark straight up.
mark's eyes teared up at jackson's words.
his heart beat was loud and clear in his ears and now he knew that jackson's was the same.
he laughed through his teary eyes, "you're crazy if you think i would ever reject the idea of being THE jackson wang's boyfriend aka the man i love."
jackson gave him an affectionate and beautiful smile.
he grabbed mark's face and pulled him close.
"thank you," he whispered, before kissing mark's forehead sweetly.
