"Amari You're On In 5" My Boss Said To Me. I Nodded. He Always Made Sure We Were In Check. "Hey Babygirl" My cusion Aloni said to me "Hi. Wassup Out There?" I asked her. "Girl, Niggas Throwin Real Fuckin Money!" She said showing me her 100 dollar bills. I smiled. "Good." I said. "And now we will have Pinky!" I heard The Host say. "That's Me" I said. "Good Luck!" Aloni said. As I made my way to the stage I got nervous, for some strange reason, I felt something was going to go wrong. I walked on stage , as "Twerkaholic" by B Smyth started to play. I grabbed the pole and started to do my magic. I Felt Money being thrown at me. All I could do was smile. After the song stopped I looked out into the crowd. I picked my money up. "Nookie!" I heard someone say, the voice sounded familiar. I looked up and saw August smirking at me. I just looked at him, in shock. I ran off stage.
I closed the door to the dressing room. "What's wrong Amari ?" Aloni asked me in concern. "Aloni.. I gotta go home" I said. "What? You Can't, Brister Has You A working A double shift!" She said shaking her head. "I don't care, I gotta go, tell him I got sick!" I said changing into my sweat pants. "Amari, What the hell happened? " She asked. "I gotta go." I said. I ran out and went to my car. My phone vibrated and I saw it was my sister Asha. I ignored it and unlocked my car door. "Nookie! " I looked over and saw August running to me. I froze. "Hey ma wassup " He said smiling. "Hey" I said dryly. "Ian Know this what'chu was doin" he said referring to me being a stripper. "It's not like I'm doing because I want to. I'm doing it because I have for school by myself." I said Looking down at the ground. "Yo, you in college?" he asked Lifting my chin. "Yea" I said. He smiled at me. "What college you go to?" He asked. "Spelman University" I said. He nodded. "Look, Nookie -" I cut him off. "Amari." I said. "Who is Amari? " He asked confused. "Me August, Amari Is my real name" I said. "Oh, well your name is Nookie to me" He said. We laughed. Nookie was my Nickname back in New Orleans. "Nookie, I know you a little embarrassed, but there's no need to be ma" He said. "August you don't understand, You're a singer, and you have bestfriend that's a stripper " I said. He smiled. "I don't give a fuck What they think ma , Ian judging You " He said. I nodded. "So Tomorrow do you want to have lunch? " He asked me. I smiled. "Yea sure " I said. He gave me his phone and I gave him mine. We exchanged numbers. "I'll see you tomorrow " He said. I smiled . "Ok " I said . I turned around to get in my car. "Damn" I heard August say. I saw him looking at my ass. I waved at him. And got in my car.
August Was so damn fine. But He is in the Music Industry , He a player, and I don't think He wants to date his bestfriend... that's a stripper. I just hope this Lunch goes well.
