As soon as the owner and the cook got into the restaurant and changed into uniform, the restaurant opened. The cook, Honey, a young, motorcycle riding girl who was seemingly the head chef, began to prepare certain things that had to be done before anything else. Not too long after, a man and his wife walked in and Daniel watched as the owner, Cody, greeted them.

David skated over to Daniel, placing down a menu.

"What's this for?" Daniel asked, raising a brow.

"Look through it, order something, and wait, if you don't order something Cody says I have to kick you out." David said before quickly skating off again.

Daniel sighed and looked through the menu. Nothing really interested him. But he just chose the nicest sounding food. Some pancakes with whipped cream and some chocolate covered strawberries on the side with a warm drink of his choice. And while he was at it he also ordered the 'treat of the week' which he would have David explain because what the fuck is the treat of the week.

After a minute David came skating back over.

"So Daniel, did you find anything you want?" David raised a brow.

"Uh, Yeah." Daniel said, stretching.

"Well, what do you want then?" David said, preparing to write whatever Daniel wanted down.

"Well, I want the whole pancakes with whipped cream and the strawberries and stuff, and I'll take a black coffee with that." Daniel said, closing the menu. "Also, David, I'll take one of the treats of the week as long as someone tells me what the fuck it is."

David paused, thinking for a minute. "I actually don't know what it is." He said, looking over his shoulder. "I can ask Honey."

Daniel stopped him. "How 'bout you send Honey over here." Daniel said, not really asking, and more like demanding.

David sighed and walked off to the kitchen, telling Honey that someone had a question for her.

With a sigh, Honey told another cook to keep an eye on the pancakes she was making for the man who came in earlier, and she walked off to Daniel's table.

"Did you need something?" She asked, raising a brow.

Daniel looked over her, taking note of a few things.

He noticed some scrapes, large scrapes, across her arms, and her chest. And a few smaller scrapes on her face. He also noticed something quite odd. Honey had a faint glow around her. Young angels had this glow. But from what he could tell, Honey wasn't an angel.

Honey snapped her fingers a few times.

"Hey, answer me, I've gotta hey back to work." Honey sighed.

Daniel snapped back to reality. "Oh, yeah, uh, what is the treat of the week?"

Honey yawned. "It's a cinnamon bun made from scratch."

Daniel suddenly took her hand, holding it gently as he noticed something. It was some sort of marking a symbol he didn't recognize.

Honey tore her hand away. "Hey!" She snapped. "Don't do that!"

"What's that symbol mean?" Daniel asked, tilting his head.

"That's none of your concern. Now I'm going back to work. Don't ask for me again." She said, storming off in a huff.

Daniel watched her walk off, now curious.

As the hours ticked by and more people came in and left, Daniel began to walk around, much to David's annoyance.

Daniel took note of a few customers. A family of four who constantly burst out laughing, a man who was clearly high, and a man and his son, the man's hands stained with blood from what Daniel could only guess was from a deer or another animal.

Another man who caught Daniel's attention was a big man, who's brown hair was beginning to grey, and the man clearly made David a little uncomfortable. Daniel had to look closely to notice a horn poking out through the hair. A demon. Of course. Daniel didn't like the way he looked at David. Than man gave David a look that either meant that David was about to get fucked, or he wanted to rip his head off whenever he got the chance.

"Hey, David! Come here a second!" Daniel called out, watching David skate over and stop inches in front of him.

"Who is that?" Daniel asked, lowering his voice to a whisper.

"Who?" David asked.

"The big guy, the one with grey hair."

David paused, and then spoke. "He's the owner of the summer camp I work at during the summer, his name is Cameron Campbell."

Daniel took note of that.

He jumped when hearing a glass shatter. A kid had knocked over a glass of water. Connor nearly fell while skating over to pick up the shards of glass.

Daniel looked at David again. "When can we go home?" He asked, whining now.

"I have one more hour, Daniel, will you live?" David asked, looking at his watch.

"No!" Daniel threw his arms up into the air.

David rolled his eyes. He then went on his way, going to give someone their food.

What felt like a year passed before David finally went to go get out of his uniform.

Daniel was happy about that, he just really wanted to leave.

Once David took a step out of the "employees only" room, Daniel was rushing out the door.

David soon followed.

"Let's go home!" Daniel said joyfully as he walked in the direction of the house.

"We're picking up Max first." David said, redirecting Daniel.

Daniel whined. "Why?"

"Are you serious?" David raised a brow. "He's my son, Daniel!"

"No he's not." Daniel said, crossing his arms.

"Yes, he is." David said, beginning to walk to the school.

"Biologically?" Daniel asked, raising a brow.

David paused. "No." He shook his head.

"So he's not your son." Daniel chuckled.

"He is my son." David looked Daniel dead in the eyes. "If it wasn't for me the kid would be dead before he turned two. Now don't tell me 'he's not your son' and you definitely won't tell Max either or else I'll have your head mounted on my wall." David said calmly, which sorta scared Daniel a tiny bit.

David turned his attention to something else after a moment, seeing a box with a sign made out of cardboard near it.

As they got closer the words "free puppy" were visible and David instantly lit up, picking up the pace to rush to the box. Daniel just shook his head.

Angels just couldn't help but to help every living creature they came across.

Daniel watched David pick up the puppy. It was a Doberman Pincer and it seemed to be malnourished and pretty small.

David cradled the thing in his arms like a baby.

Without a word David continued on, carrying the dog.

"Why is it so damn skinny?" Daniel asked, looking over the dog.

"It was probably a runt." David explained. "That would be why it's so small too."

Daniel sighed.

Another distraction for Daniel. But the dog was pretty damn cute.

And when Max saw David holding the dog, the kid quickly said goodbye to his two friends and rushed over, eyes wide in excitement, and his face stuck in this wide smile.

Daniel honestly couldn't help but smile too. The kid was so happy it made Daniel pretty happy too.

And with David by his side, and dog in one of David's arms, and Max holding David's hand, the group walked off.

//okay! I hope you all like this chapter! I ran out of ideas a lot during this for some reason. But, just so you know, the symbol Honey has and they reason why she's so sensitive about it will be explained! And another thing, if you guys know who Sarah is from my other Danvid story, I applaud you!
