Lucy's POV
I walked through the entrance of the guild and something seemed..odd?The usually loud and rowdy guild was weirdly quiet. Just the small murmur of people having a conversation. I looked around and spotted Natsu at a table. Maybe he know what was up.
I started toward him," Hey Nat-" I stopped half way, surprised at his reaction when he spotted me. He quickly scrambled out of his seat and sprinted out to the guild.
I looked around to see if anyone witnessed what had happened but only Grey seemed to see and just shook his head with a small smile.

Hoping to have my questions answered, I head over to the bar where I'm greeted by Mira." Hey Lucy, what can I get you today?"
I bang my head lightly on the counter."An explantion"
I hear Mira giggle."An explantion on what?"
I look up."On why Natsu literally ran at the sight of me and how this silence is very unusual? "
Mira let a small giggle out, clearly amused at my confusion."Its mating season."
"Yeah, your response just made me question a lot more. Care to elaborate?" I say raising an eyebrow.
"It's the season where dragon slayers choose thier mates for all enternity"she says cheerfully
I stare at her."Eternity...wow"
She hugs the tray she holds."I find it so romantic, wouldn't it be amazing to be chosen?" Her eyes seemed to send a message I refused to accept.
"Yeah..I suppose. Though how does this fit with why Natsu would be avoiding me?"
"Well..from what I've heard. Dragon slayers get..urges,"Her lips turned into an evil smirk." Urges they can't control. Not for long. Especially if they've found who their looking for."
"Still not answering my question." I said still confused.
"Lucy you aren't getting it! Who do you think Natsu has chosen?" Mira said impatience clear in her voice.
"Who he's chose- no. It cant be me. He doesn't..like me." I say feeling a little deflated hearing it out loud.
Mira clears her throat." You must be joking. Please recall the last few weeks you two have spent. Away. Alone."
"We had Happy." I correct her.
"Doesn't count. You two were alone on a vacation. Partners don't do that. Groups of friends do. Couples do. Do you understand what I'm saying?" She says raising an eyebrow.
"Okay, let's say you are right. How would I know he's lost control already? Has mating season even started?" I ask giving into Mira's crazy matchmaker self.
"Oh honey it started two weeks ago." She smirks leaning against the bar.
"So when we were on vacation..he was in heat?" I whisper.
Her eyes scanned me as if they were looking for something. I guess she found it because her eyes widened to the size of saucers." Lucy let me see your neck."
"What?" My hand reaches for my neck." Why?"
"Trust me please." She said turning my head slowly.
"Just as I thought. You've been marked already. The rascal. Look." She pulls out a mirror and shows me my neck.
I search for what Mira could have possibly seen." Mira, I don't see any-"
"Look harder." She cut me off.
I sighed and looked more. Suddenly I noticed scales on my neck that were glowing red.
"What the hell? How did I not..? What?" I kept looking, worried how I'd missed such a visible mark.
"You've accepted him. He'll be coming for you Lucy. Are you ready?"
I suddenly felt panic take over my body." No..I'm going home. Bye Mira thank you for this.."
"Dont forget to lock your doors!"I hear Mira yell earning stares from the guild members.
I look away and continue walking.

(the next day)
I walk into the guild the next day and I look around the guild. Natsu was no where in sight. I went to the bar and took a seat.
"Hey Mira." I say.
She turns to face me. A look of genuine surprise on her face." You're still here."
I raise an eyebrow." Yes I am. Sorry to disappoint you."
"No it's not that it's just Levy has been captured I assumed yo -"
"She's been what??"I yell out
Mira glares at me."Let me finish!"
I look down."Sorry"
She sighs."Anyways Gajeel took her 'cause you know...mating season...yeah apparently Gajeel chose her as his mate. I didn't expect you to arrive either."
I sigh."This is unreal. I can't believe this is actually something that happens."
Mira shook her head smiling slightly." Oh Lucy. You don't have to be scared. Well maybe a little they do technically kidnap you but they aren't going to harm you."
'Listen to her Lucy..I won't hurt you'
I look around startled.
"Lucy?" I hear Mira say.
"Did you hear Natsu speak?" I asked confused
"No...oh." Mira's lips twisted into a cruel grin." Oh I know exactly what's happening.
"W-What? What's happening?" I asked slightly disturbed.
"Go home and pack Lucy. Natsu will be there soon." She whispered and I resisted the urge to slap her.
"You aren't funny!" I said and she burst out into a fit of laughter.
"Relax Lucy. I told you already he won't harm you. Just aggressively relocate you. Not kidnap." She shrugged and my mouth kinda just dropped.
" 'aggressively relocate'? Did you hear the words exit your mouth?" I said laughing slightly.
"Yes I did. Now run along."
'Tic toc Luce. I can hold back for so long.'
"What the hell.." I look around again confused.
"Why can I hear Natsu when he isn't here?" I asked her.
"The mark allows him to communicate with you telepathically. You should be the only one allowed to hear." She explained.
"Fantastic. Now I've got him in my head."
'Won't be the only thing I'll be inside of.'
The nerve. I swear I'll end his life.
"Thank you Mira. I've got a dragon slayer to kill."
'Threats won't do you any good Luce. Just be a good girl and let me handle it.'
'After all...I'm coming for you.'
