Listen to the song! I found it on YouTube when I was looking up my trailer and I think its pretty cool. I guess it has something to do with the chapter..... sort of

“I can’t believe they cancelled the game!” Drake whined as we pushed open the doors. He was upset because the team we were scheduled to play against cancelled due to the harsh storm that was rolling in. I honestly didn’t see what the big deal was, it was only a game, but he was making a big deal out of it.

“I can’t believe the heartless jerk is still making us practice,” Noah grumbled from beside me. I gave him a sympathetic smile. Their coach was  forcing them to practice, even though it would storming already.

“Tough it out. I was ready to play today!” Drake grunted, crossing his arms angrily like a child. Alice giggled and took his hand. As he smiled as her warmly, it took everything I had in me not to gush about how cute they were.

Noah stopped and turned to me as we reached the field. He dug through his front pockets and handed me a set of keys.

“What are these for?” I asked, studying them. There we about five different silver keys all hooked on one chain.

“That’s for my car. You can drive home so you don’t have to be outside in this weather,” He said.

A huge smile spread across my face at how thoughtful he was. And I knew how much he adored his car and the fact that he would trust me to drive it was making me ecstatic.

“But how will you get home?” I asked, frowning. He smiled and nodded his head at Drake, who was gesturing wildly with his arms as he told Alice a story. I held back laughter as I nodded at Noah.

“I’ll catch a ride with Drake,” He said.

“Okay. Thank you,” I said, pecking him on the cheek. He grinned down at me and placed a kiss on my lips instead.

“I love you,” He told me. I grinned even wider.

“I love you too,” I said. He turned around and started to walk towards the locker rooms. He stopped and turned to me.

“On second thought, would it be too much to ask you to wait for me at my place?” He asked.

I remembered meeting his mom and grimaced. I don’t think she would particularly enjoy having me there.

“Uh, you mom….”

“Is out of town,” He finished. I remembered the second obstacle. Although I hadn’t seen him in days, I would run a high risk of running into him if I went to Noah’s house.

“What about Drew?” I asked. Noah frowned.

“It’s Friday. He always goes to parties all night and never comes back until Sunday afternoon. I doubt he’ll still be home, but if you don’t feel safe, you don’t have to go,” he said, the frown still on his face.

Well, there was a very low possibility of running into Drew. But even if I did, he would most likely be screwing some girl and not notice me. Worst case scenario would be locking myself in Noah’s room and listening to moans coming down from the hall.

“It’s okay. I’ll go to your house,” I said. A smile lit up his face as he disappeared into the locker room to change.

I watched Alice say goodbye to Drake. They turned away from each other and started to walk away before simultaneously spinning around and engulfing in a kiss.

Drake quickly turned it into a French one and I found myself scrunching up my nose in disgust. I wanted to yell at them to get a room but I did not want that mental image in my head.

My eyes widened as they hit second base easily and were heading to third. I gagged as they were on full out third base in a public. I really needed to stop them before they did it right here on the grass.

“Stop eating each other’s faces and get moving. It’s freezing out here!” I yelled at them, making sure to keep my distance. They sprang apart with sheepish looks on their faces.

Drake said something to Alice that I couldn’t quite hear and pecked her lightly on the lips before sprinting to practice five minutes late.

Alice walked up to me with a shy smile on her face.

“Can I have a ride home?” She asked. I grinned and flashed her Noah’s keys.

“You bet. And we get to ride in Noah’s car,” I said. She grinned excitedly and followed me to the car.

It took me a while to find the right key to unlock it but I finally did. Before I opened the door, I turned to Alice, who was studying the car with awe.

“If we screw up his car, we’re blaming it on Drake. Agreed?” I asked. She grinned and nodded.

“Agreed.”

Ten minutes later I had dropped Alice off at her house and was parking in front of Noah’s house. I couldn’t help but remember the bad memories I’d had here, with Drew and his mother. Hopefully, Noah will have something fun planned to make me forget that.

I know something extremely fun that will make you forget everything.

I felt myself beginning to blush at the dirty side of my mind. I shook my head and opened the car door, being extremely careful. Luckily, Alice and I had managed to return Noah’s car without a scratch, and I was very proud of myself. Noah wouldn’t chew our heads off.

I know something you would want Noah to chew.

I really needed to get my head out of the gutter. It was only five days away. I could wait.

I fumbled with the keys until I found the right one and used it to unlock the front door. I closed it behind me and tossed the keys onto the counter where Noah could easily find them.

I took a moment to glance around the house. It was all so neat and tidy, without even a hair out of place. I started to climb the stairs and looked at the pictures along the way.

The first one was a cute little boy that I assumed to be Noah. In the picture, he was grinning proudly and holding up a weathered football. I smiled and looked at the next one.

In this one were two shirtless boys who looked to be about ten at the pool. I recognized Noah right away but studied the dark haired boy next to him. Noah had his arm around him and they both made a funny face into the camera. After a few more minutes, I realized I was staring at a younger version of Drake.

Even as a child, Noah was ten times hotter than everyone else.

“That’s enough creepy thoughts for one day,” I muttered to myself, shaking my head.

I continued up the stairs, looking at the photos which were mainly of Noah, except for the last one. Something about this one caught my attention.

Similar to the one I had in my room, it was a picture of his family with a man’s face smudged out of the picture. I looked closer and realized that I recognized that suit and the body that went with it.

“You know who that is don’t you?” I heard a voice ask from the top of the stairs. I spun around and met Drew’s mischievous blue eyes.

What was he doing here? I prayed that he would leave me alone and go back to whoever was upstairs.

I backed up against the wall as he descended the stairs until he was face to face with me. He smiled at me.

“That would be our daddy dearest,” he said, pretending to gaze at the photo.

My father? Why would a picture of him be in Noah’s house? What Drew said hit me. Our? What did he mean our daddy dearest?

“Our?” I blurted out before I could stop myself.

He smirked and I knew I had taken the bait. He put a hand over his mouth and arranged his expression into a surprised one, but his eyes held mischief.

“Dear me, I can’t believe I let it slip. Although, I expected Noah to have told you by now,” He said, shaking his head and holding back a smile.

What was Noah keeping from me? Was Drew lying, and if so, why would he lie about something like this?

“Tell me what?” I pressed. Now that he got me started, I couldn’t stop until I knew everything.

“Oh I suppose I might as well just tell you, seeing as you already know half the story,” He said dramatically.

He clapped his hands together. “Story time!” He cleared his throat.

“I’ll start from the beginning. Your mother died when you were four, right?” He asked. I froze.

“How do you know about my mother?” I asked. He shook his finger at me, scolding me.

“Tsk, tsk, Amber. Save your questions until the end,” He grinned.

“So after that, the beatings started to get worse right? And he would sometimes disappear for days at a time but when he returned, he would be even worse than the last time you saw him?” He asked. I got a feeling it was a rhetorical question, but I nodded my head anyway.

Again, I wondered how he even knew about the beatings. Noah wouldn’t have told him, so how did he find out? I kept my mouth shut and waited for him to continue.

“That’s where I come in. You see, your father got some woman knocked up, whose identity is still unknown by the way, and she gave birth and dumped him with the baby. She disappeared and left him with the baby, who was, if you haven’t guessed already, me,” Drew said. Even though this seemed like a sad story, he was grinning.

“Your father sure as hell wasn’t going to raise a son, so he dumped me on Noah’s mommy, another woman he was having an affair with. I don’t remember much, but he would stop by every few weeks only to check up, but he would get so mad at us, and hit Noah’s mom. Actually, he treated her the same way he treated you,” Drew said, still looking unaffected.

“Everything was torture for us until, two years ago, he left and never came back,” He finished. He eyed my horrified expression and laughed.

“Don’t worry sweetheart. You and your boyfriend are in no way related,” He said.

“How do I know you’re not lying?” I asked, my voice coming out harsh.

“About the relation thing?”

“About the story!” I yelled, beyond furious. He smirked and took a step closer to me. I couldn’t move back, seeing as I was already stuck to the wall. Soon our faces were inches away.

“Look me in the eyes and tell me that you think I’m lying,” Drew said. I met his eyes and I saw truth in them. And as horrible as it was, I believed him.

Everything made sense now. His story was so flawless it had to be true.

“So you’re my half -brother?” I squeaked, moments away from breaking down. Drew nodded.

“Yep. But we don’t share the same mother, which is why I don’t feel so bad when I do this,” He said, leaning down and kissing me.

Right away, I tried to shove him off me, but his grip was tight. He shoved my mouth open and stuck his tongue into my mouth. I brought my knee up and kneed him hard where the sun didn’t shine.

He yelped and fell to the floor, clutching his parts. I stormed away from him and ran outside.

I couldn’t believe Noah could do this to me. How could he keep something like this a secret?

I realized this is what Tyler probably meant when he said Noah was special. He had seen his mother get used like that, and he hadn’t told me. But they had both kept Drew a secret, and it wasn’t their secret to keep.

Noah should have definitely told me! Tyler didn’t know Drew and I had ever even spoken, much less he tried to kiss me! But Noah knew and he didn’t say anything. He kept his mouth shut and never bothered to tell me that my half-brother had tried to rape me!

Tears were now strolling rapidly down my face as I began the long walk home.

Okay! Don’t hate me! It had to be done. :( I am writing the next chapter in Noah’s POV so you can sort of see his reasoning for keeping it a secret.

I’m halfway done with the next chapter so you know what to do for an upload ;)
