Torn; Chapter Sixteen
"But it was-" I hear the worry in Liam's voice. I am not facing them so I open my eyes just a bit.
"It's okay. The doctors are positive," I hear Danielle say. I hear everyone trying to cheer Liam up. I roll over to see everyone huddled around him. I then look around me. The machines around me are quite loud, making the usual beeping noises and such. Everyone is now looking at me.
"Are you all right?" Eleanor asks me. She sits on the edge of my bed, laying a hand on my forehead.
"Um... yeah. What happened?" I ask. They all look at each other before Harry starts speaking.
"We were in the car, you, me, Niall, and Liam. We had turned up the radio, which you didn't like because you had a headache. So you crawled up into the front seat and turned it down. Liam was trying to keep his eyes on the road, but you got in his way. In turn, you fell, he wrecked, and you hit your head on the dash."
I looked at each of the faces in the room. Every face has sympathy written all over it. I gave Liam a weak smile as his puffy, red eyes met mine.
"I'm sorry," he whispered.
"It's okay. It was my fault, not yours. I know you wouldn't mean to hurt me, Liam. You wouldn't hurt anyone. You try to help people. I look up to you for that. Okay? Don't get yourself down just because of one silly wreck, which I caused."
"See, Liam, she isn't mad. She loves you as much as ever," Louis said. They all huddled around me, giving me a hug. I loved them all, but only as brothers, and as for Eleanor and Danielle, they were practically my sisters now.
"Okay, guys and girls, you are going to have to leave so I can check her over and make sure she is okay," the doctor said. My eyes shot to her then to Niall. We stared into each other's eyes for what seemed like a century, but it was only seconds. His eyes never left mine as Harry pulled him out of the room.

"FINALLY, YOU'RE HOME!!!" Louis yelled as I entered the house. Liam had picked me up, but he hadn't allowed anyone to come with him. We talked the whole way home, mostly about the accident. I had stayed in the hospital for three days. That was too much. I wasn't sure how much longer I could stay here. Not just London, but on Earth.
