I am running. Being chased. Hunted down. They have been tracking me, and there's no escape now. Running faster, I leap over a log. In the forest, it's difficult to run around all of the trees. Tripping over a stick, I slam onto the ground, knocking the breath out of me. When I flip over and try to scramble up, breathless, they jump onto me and pin me. Their cold, vicious eyes stare down at me. One of them holds a knife in hand, ready to slice me into a million pieces.
Pushing against their combined strength, it's impossible to break free. My mouth opens wide into a desperate scream. They just grip harder. I see a flash of silver coming down to me. They're going to kill me. It's the end. It's all over. My eyes are about to close, the knife inches away from my heart....When a voiceless whisper slides into my head. "Rise to your place. Fight, or it will end like this." But why?
