Hey, I was wondering if you were free for that interview I mentioned a while back? xx

Hello! Yes, I would love too!

Sweet! Before I start, how are you? xx

I am doing lovely. Thank you for asking. How are you doing?

Great thanks, although I'm being a bit lazy and am still in bed 😂

What inspired you to write your story? xx

Lazy days are always the best sometimes. We have a lot of them with my daughter because of her illness.

Honestly, I was inspired by something terrible that happened to me as a child. I was abused by stepfather for years and shut myself out from everyone and everything I could. But writing in my own fantasy world helped me cope with life as a teen.

Aww, that sounds so sweet! Family time is the best time xx 😊

Isn't writing great? I reckon it nourishes the soul xx

What do you want readers to get out of your book? xx

Family time is what I live on now. Every second counts since finding out my daughter has a brain tumour.

Writing definitely nourishes the soul. If I couldn't write I think I'd go crazy!

I want my readers to be able to escape into a new world. Be able to forget they had a terrible day and just live in a new one until they have to leave. I want it to be a safe haven for my readers as my favourite books were for me. 🙂

It seems we might be in clashing timezones! Did you want me to send the rest of the questions or just continue as we are now? xx

I was noticing that! But I will be able to answer them now. We had a national holiday yesterday so my time was stretched with family.

Okay, sweet! xx

Where were you and what were you doing when you found out you placed/ TPPA-Approved? xx

I was just waking up that morning. Reached for my phone to see the time, and seen your message. I dang near started crying, it was the first time I had placed and I was so excited.

Aww, well you definitely deserved that placing, and I'm glad you didn't start crying. That means so much hearing how important TPPA is to people. It's incredibly touching xx 😌

What does this mean to you? xx

It was really important to me, truly!

But it means I accomplished something. It means I didn't waste my time on a storyline that was a flop. It was reassuring to know that someone else thought my work was amazing.

Awww, your story is definitely no flop xx

What are you up to at the moment? What do we have to look forward to from you? Do you have anything written-wise for us to look forward to in the future? xx

Thank you! That really means a lot.

At the moment I am enjoying my possible last weekend with my husband alone before my oldest daughter starts to go through her cancer treatments. I am currently working on book two of the Never Ending series and a new work called Native Heart which is a Historical-Romance. I have an outline of 12 books for the Never Ending series and can't wait to get them on paper.

Awww, I hope your daughter gets better soon! I'm here for you if you need anything xx ❤️

Would you be able to give a short summary about Native Heart? xx

Thank you so much. It truly means a lot with everything that is going on. ❤️❤️❤️

I would love to give the description.

Amaris Running Bear; half pale-face, half red-skin. Neither apart of one or the other. Standing in the middle of a war, wanted by neither side. Her father was the domineering warrior of the Wind Clan, protector of his people. Her mother was once a lady of high prestige, banished because of her outspoken radical views.

The war is coming. But it is Amaris that has to decide what side she wishes to be a part of. Her tribe wants nothing to do with her, while the high society avoided her like a disease.

Finding herself in a world that wants nothing to do with her can be hard. But even harder to prove that she belongs in both.

It's a historical romance but it is based on my own feels of how I feel in my own tribe. I'm apart of it but only looking in on the outskirts.

I think we can all relate to being a part of something, but only be on the outskirts of it all. I'm sure it will be just as great as Never Ending xx

Why did you decide to change the name from "Never Ending" to "Chosen"? xx

Thank you, I really hope I'm able to create the proper wording to paint the picture correctly.

I decided to change the name after I started to do intensive editing to the book and the more I fixed the errors and reading over everything, the name no longer fit. And with the underlying theme that Lillian's half-brother was looking for her because she was chosen by a prophecy, it just seemed fitting.

That makes sense! The name is very fitting too xx

I've noticed that you've officially finished writing "Chosen" - how does it feel to have something completed? xx

Honestly, it feels amazing! I had started writing it when I was a freshman in high-school and just held onto the poorly written material through all kinds of trials of life. But on the first of July last year I just had a fire lit under me that I needed to rewrite the book and a year later I can say I am more than pleased with the outcome. Because I can look at previous unedited chapters and see how my writing has improved through this exciting journey.

Awww, I bet it must feel so surreal having a story for so long and finally having it completed! xx

This is a question from LyndaCoker if your readers could grant you three promises, what would they be? xx

1. To not hold the death of any character against me.

2. Stick with me even in the anxiety-ridden times.

3. To stay their amazing selves that want to fall into new worlds.

I like number one the most. I love writing mystery/thrillers, and I always find it hard to kill off characters. I feel like if anything, that would be a good feeling knowing the character didn't die in vain xx

What makes a good original Werewolf/Vampire novel in your own opinion? xx

To take the ever-evolving knowledge that is out there and make it your own.

True true xx

Last question, while editing, what are some of the hard decisions you have to make while doing so? xx

Choosing what parts are important for the storyline and which aren't. Every time I start editing, I have to think about the long run. Like what will this part of the story contribute to the 2nd 3rd and 8th book. That is honestly the hardest part of editing for me, because I love everything I write.

Sounds quite hard; you must put in a lot of time making sure everything is as it should be 😄

Thanks so much for allowing this interview! Did you want to give any shoutouts or had any last words you wish to share? xx

I try and put in as much time as I can on my writing. It's like another child to me that I have to take care of.

No, thank you for taking the time to interview me as well as run the awards. I can't think of just one person who I want to shoutout too. I just want to thank everyone that has read my work and that will continue to do so. It's what makes it worth it.

Yes, I feel that with my books too. They are all my children, and I love them all the same xx

Thanks again for this! xx
