It was only a few minutes later that the girls had gotten the message from Stiles that the bus would be pulling over because Jared threw up on the bus.
Imogen quickly parked her car before rushing over to where Stiles was struggling to help carry Scott out of the bus. They were followed by the rest of the girls and they went into the empty bathroom.
They set Scott against the wall by the sinks, Imogen lifted up his shirt, she gasped at the sight of his wounds and the black blood.
"Why didn't you say anything?" She breathed out in disbelief. How much pain was he in that he didn't say anything about it? She tried to use her magic to speed up his healing but for some reason it was like he was rejecting it.
"Sorry." Scott murmured, barely conscious.
"Okay. Just give us a second, okay?" She said softly, standing up and walking over the three while Lia was outside guarding. "This shouldn't be happening. I've seen him heal from worse than this."
Stiles nodded, glancing at them. "Okay, what do we do then? Do we just call an ambulance?"
"What if it's too late?" Allison voiced. "What if they can't help?"
"We gotta do something." The flannel wearing teen was worried about his best friends condition and needed one of them to have an idea as too how to heal Scott.
Lydia pursed her lips. "You know, it could be psychological."
He blinked, "What do you mean, like, psychosomatic?"
"Somatoformic."
He narrowed his eyes, trying to sound out the word. "Som..."
She rolled her eyes, "A physical illness from a psychogenic cause." She nodded, "Yes, it's all in his head."
"All in his head? Because of Derek." He realized, glancing at Scott. "He's not letting himself heal 'cause Derek died."
"So what do we do?" Imogen asked, her eyes never leaving Scott's face.
"Stitch him up." Lydia told them bluntly and got looks of disbelief from all of them as she pulled out some needle and thread."I'm serious. Maybe all he needs to do is just believe it's healing."

Imogen sterilized the needle she was going to be using to stitch up Scott. Allison had offered but she had more experience from her Uncle teaching her. "He's gonna need another shirt." She told them, the one he was wearing was covered in blood. "Where's his bag?"
Stiles eyed the needle in her hand, grimacing at the thoughts filling his head at why she was going to be using the needle. "Um, I'm gonna get it. I hate needles anyway, so... uh, do you know what you're doing?"
"Yeah, my uncle taught me." She told him, noticing how he didn't seem all that comfortable right now.
"I mean, how fast are you gonna..." He stammered nervously. "I mean, the bus, like, the bus could leave."
She blinked. "Well, you just need to make sure it doesn't leave."
"I can help." Lydia offered along with Allison. The three leaving her alone with a grimacing Scott.
Imogen crouched down in front of the teen wolf. "Hey, I need you to stay with me." She patted his cheek.
"I'm tired." He murmured, his eyes barely open.
"I know, but Scott, just look at me, okay?" She said in gentle tone. Her blue eyes filled with worry at how pale he looked. "Just keep looking at me."
"Hmm." He hummed, his eyes closed.
She inhaled deeply, putting the thread in the needle before beginning to stitch him up. Her heart was racing really fast and as worried as she was about him, she tried to soothe his pain by using some magic to lessen it. Lydia brought in bag with his clothes at some point while she was working before she went back out to help.
It felt like forever but she managed to finish stitching him up.
"Okay, I'm done." She breathed out before looking up at him. Her breath caught in her throat when she noticed his chest wasn't rising. "Scott?" She leaned in, not hearing him breathe and panicked. "Okay, Scott, you cannot die. I stitched you up and you should be fine so open your eyes." She tried to shake him, her blue eyes glistening. "You know, we still haven't had a chance to have that talk. You need to know that I still love you and I want to be with you. Time hasn't changed the way I feel about you. So, you can't die here." She felt like her heart was going to shatter by his lack of response. "Scott?!"
He gasped awake, staring at her. "It's my fault."
"You're okay." She choked out, startled by how he awoke. "You're gonna be okay."
He glanced down at the stitches he had and looked at her. "Did you do that?"
"Yeah." She nodded, relieved that he was alive.
He looked impressed. "Nice."
"Can you stand?" Seeing him struggle, she helped him stand up, while also lifting up the shirt. "Here, let me help you put this on."
"Thanks." He smiled painfully at her, his wound still bothering him but not as much as before.
She smiled tightly at him, still unsure of how she felt that he didn't hear her before. The two walked out of the bathroom, her making sure he didn't fall while carrying his bag.
They were quickly approached by Lydia who had just finished changing places with Lia who had gotten a phone call. "Is he okay? Are you okay?"
"Yeah." Scott said. "Stiles. Where's Stiles?"
The genius sighed. "Trying to stall coach with Allison." She looked at her friend. "We still don't have gas."
"That's fine." Imogen said, glancing at her and her next words made Scott perk up a bit. "I'm not leaving him."
"Then we have to leave the car."
She nodded. "That's fine." She could just call a towing company to take her car back to Beacon Hills for her.
Lydia blanched. "What? That wasn't an actual suggestion." Her friend continued to walk away. "Imogen, wait." She huffed, shaking her head slightly. "Screw it." She quickly followed after her.
Imogen and Scott could see the students forming a circle around something. The two both wondering what was going on. Stiles quickly rushed up to them and the teen wolf looked at his best friend for answers. "Stiles, what's happening?"
Stiles hadn't expected for Isaac to just go after Ethan the way did. He wasn't sure what even got into the beta. "They went after him." He rushed out. "I told 'em what was happening with you and they just went after him."
Scott pulled away from Imogen, feeling stable enough to stand on his own. "Who, Boyd?" He asked, recalling how Boyd had looked ready to attack Ethan on the bus earlier.
Coach rushed over to see what was happening. His eyes went wide seeing Lahey punching Ethan in the face repeatedly. "Isaac, Isaac, Isaac! Back off!" He tried to pull the teenager off.
Scott walked over and yelled out his name, "Isaac!"
In a second, Isaac seemed to give in to his command, bowing his head like a kicked puppy. He stepped away from Ethan and walked over to Scott.
Imogen furrowed her brows, wondering if her mind was playing tricks on her but it almost seemed like Scott was acting like an alpha ordering his beta around. It started to make her think about last night and what happened.
.
Imogen stepped into the building she had followed Scott and Isaac to. She had dropped by the McCall household earlier to talk to Scott about what had happened between the other day. Only to see him leaving with Isaac in tow, her ex-boyfriend sporting a grim expression when they left so she had followed them.
Which is how she ended up at this empty building.
She walked closer to the voices only to stop when she felt someone behind her and quickly used her magic to hold them in place.
"Imogen it's me." They groaned.
Imogen gasped, seeing it was Allison and stopped what she had been doing. "Oh my god, Allison. I'm sorry, but you shouldn't have been lurking like some creepy stalker." She hissed.
"And what is it exactly that you're doing?" The huntress said right back.
The witch blinked, "Um- well whatever. I was just worried about Scott and here I am. What about you?" She asked curiously.
"I followed the alphas. They live in my apartment building." Allison said with sigh.
Imogen looked stunned by the news but heard the voices again and glanced away. "Okay, that's not good but, I need to make sure that no one dies."
"I'm going with you." She held up her bow, proving she was here to help. The two girls followed the voices. "By the way, I'm not mad anymore about the lying about how my mom really died."
She felt her doubt about possibly losing Allison as a friend disappear at her words. She sent her a faint smile before they looked over the ledge. She swallowed thickly, seeing how the alphas had the upper hand.
"Let him rise to the occasion then. What'll it be, Derek? Pack or family?" Kali taunted, putting more pressure on Cora's throat with her foot.
Imogen shared a look with Allison, the two nodding before helping them out. Allison fired the first arrow to startle them and the witch threw Ennis away from Scott. The huntress fired more arrows.
Deucalion yelled, "Aah! Aah! Your eyes... cover your eyes!" He crouched down, reliving flashbacks to when he had lost his own vision.
The witch and huntress duo had managed to give their friends the upper hand in their fight with the alphas. Scott looked up to see the girl he loved, she sent him a faint smirk.
Ennis went after Scott who was now prepared, the teen wolf crouched down, lifting his head as he glared at him. Imogen tensed her spot while Allison gasped. His eyes were red. An alpha red color.
But than he blinked it away and they were back to their normal amber color. He charged at Ennis who knocked him away and soon Derek started to attack him.
Imogen focused her attention away from Scott to the twins who were getting back up and started to use her magic to hold them off. Allison focused on Kali who was trying to get to Ennis.
It was only a moment later they heard everyone go silent, their focus on Ennis and Derek both falling off the ledge, the loud crash below making the fighting cease.
.
Scott tried to push the memory away from last night but it seemed to always be at the forefront of his thoughts. He glanced over at Imogen who was seated beside him. She seemed to be really worried about him. Not that he minded. It only just seemed to prove that she still cared about him and hopefully that time in his bedroom the other day, meant something to her as well.
She looked at him, concern visible in her blue eyes. "You know, if Derek's really dead, it's not your fault, Scott." Knowing him, she knew that he was probably carrying Derek's possible death on his shoulders.
"Maybe." He whispered, even though it felt like it was. He could have been quicker to save him. "Anyways, remember that whole thing that we talked about where I wasn't accusing you of being there, and if you were there you shouldn't be?" She nodded, a faint blush on her cheeks, she obviously knew what happened after that conversation. Or rather what it led to. He grinned, "Thanks for not listening."
She laughed softly. "No problem." Her smile lessened, her eyes lingering on his face, thoughts of his eyes last night.
He furrowed his brows slightly, wondering if there was something on his face. "What?"
"Nothing." She murmured, her voice soft. It was obvious that he had no idea that his eyes had been red for a brief moment. It didn't make sense to her since the only way to become an alpha was to kill another alpha. Scott hadn't killed anyone and she couldn't just blurt it out to him. She needed to find answers to that and then she would tell him. There was no reason to tell him and make him worry about it. "I was just looking at your eyes."
He looked ready to ask her if what he heard in the bathroom was true —that she still loved him and still wanted to be with him— but she was talking to Allison and Lia who were in the seats beside them. He sighed, leaning back into his seat and stared out the window instead.
