Reason 4:
My history in making friends.
I was the third wheel of my trio for six years. Another time before that also.
It was just a middle school phase, yes, but it changed me in the littlest ways. How my expectations in friendships started to add up, how I'd always observe the way my friends acted around other people besides me. I had lost my ability to trust.
I'd always been ready to lose friends ever since, never shed a single tear over one, in the preparation of knowing they'd leave me.
I guess that's why when we were acquaintances, I was always the one to ignite conversation. I wanted to learn to trust someone again.
I tried my best to befriend you, but I guess your efforts didn't meet mine.
