December had rolled around and everything seemed to be happening so fast.
First up was my birthday, December 2nd.
And Jasper had managed to arrange a party for me alongside Marta. Together they invited all of my
Friends from school, the Denali's and even my Father showed up, when I introduced him to Jasper he seemed like he immediately liked him so that was a bonus.
The party was exceptional and I had a great time even of my boyfriend disappeared for a good chunk of it.
I chalked it up to his thirst and didn't bring it up when he finally came back to my side before pulling me onto the dance floor.
My dress swirled around my legs as he expertly twirled me and then dipped me where he brought his mouth down on me. Some guys wolf whistled while everyone else clapped.
Finally a huge cake was carted out by Marta and every sang to me as I closed my eyes and blew out my candles. The clapping sounded once more as I cut the cake and then the music started back up as Marta handed out cake to everyone who wanted some.
Not long after the party started to die down and I found myself telling everyone goodbye, including my father.
"I'll be home for Christmas sweetie, you can count on that, and I will also be bringing someone I've been wanting you to me." He sad happily.
My stomach tightened, did he really have a boyfriend that he wanted me to meet, this must be serious, "you know, Mom swore that's she and someone else are also come for Christmas."
He nodded, "I know, we've spoken a few times on the subject." He confessed, "but at the end of the day we are two grown adults who are happy and want to spend time with the people we love the most, and dispute what you might think Emma, your mother and I DO love each other, just not in the way a husband should love his wide and vice versa."
"That's cool, I just don't want any drama."
"Zero drama." He smiled before he pulled me into a hug and then waved a final farewell to Marta and Jasper.
"You two go on ahead, I can take care of the mess." She stated with finality.
Jasper grabbed my hand and we went up to my bedroom.
After getting into comfy (and sorta naughty) pajamas I had picked up from Victoria's Secret, I went back into my bedroom and crawled into my bed.
Jasper immediately grabbed me and pulled me close to him, he kissed my mouth before trailing the kisses along my jaw and down my neck.
This was new.
"Why do you have to be so damn tempting Darlin?" He asked, his voice sounding dangerously sexy, it made my entire body pulse with want and I did the only thing I could think of, I put my hand on his face and brought him mouth back to mine.
Jasper gave in.
And before I knew it Jasper was pulling away from me. I looked up at him, I was panting and I could feel the he y rise and fall of my chest as Jasper straddled me, 'when did we get in this position?'
I paid more attention and found that not only was he straddling me, but my legs were wrapped around his body as if to draw him in closer, my core wantonly close to a very significant bulge in his pants now.
"We shouldn't be doing this." He whispered.
I blushed and looked away, I couldn't meet his eye as I felt like such a whore. It was all my fault, I wore the sexy outfit knowing it would get a rise out of him, I let him kiss me, then I made him kiss me, now here we were once again with him rejecting me.
"Hey" he said softly.
I turned and looked at him. "Why do you keep saying no to me?" I asked sadly.
"I'm not saying no to YOU, and trust me when I that it isn't for a lack of want." He said as he gestured down to his sizable package barely hidden begin the (now tight) material of slacks. "I just don't want to hurt you."
"I-I'm not a virgin." I admitted a little guiltily.
"I know, we've talked about that, but as you know I can easily harm you physically and I don't know what I would do if you ever got hurt, especially by me."
I reached up and hooked my hand behind his head, bringing him down to kiss me once more, it was passionate and quite beautiful then our long kisses turned into light more playful pecks and I smiled as he peppered my face with cute kisses.
He let out a sighed, "my lust for you is stronger than anything I've ever felt, even more than my thirst for blood."
Now that meant something to me as he once told me how much he struggled with his thirst once upon a time.
"But even more than that," he said as I looked deep in his warm golden eyes, he smiled down at me handsomely, "even more than that is how much I love you."
Now I smiled, "you love me?"
"With everything I have in me Darlin."
"I love you too." I confessed.
After that we laid in each others arms, exchanging kisses here and there.
"Oh I almost forgot." He said as he removed one of his arms and reached into his back pocket, "I got you a birthday present."
"Aww you didn't have to get me anything." I insisted.
"It's just a little something I put together."
I took the little booklet in my hands and smiled giddily, I resisted the urge to awe once more as I looked down at the little gift. It was reminiscent of those little coupon things you make as a kid for your parents. The ones that promise you will fold laundry or wash the car.
But as I opened the little booklet I found a computer printed picture of a tropical island with the words 1 week in Turks and Caicos.
I scrunched my eyebrows in wonder and flipped to the next page and then the next, it was a booklet full of various destinations, Rome, Italy, France, Dubai.
"Jasper if this is real then it is too much."
He kissed my forehead, "my girlfriend said she wanted to travel the world" he smirked my favorite sideways smirk "plus I have the money and unlimited time Darlin, at least let me spend both of em on you."
Now I couldn't hold back the wide smile from filling my face.
Two days later when I arrived Marta greeted me per the usual.
"Hello honeybee, how was your day?"
"Productive." I smiled.
"Good to hear it, I've just sliced some fresh banana but bread if you'd like, and I can fix you up some hot cocoa or coffee to warm you right up."
"Milks fine, I'm just gonna run upstairs and get into some cozy pajamas." I smiled.
"You've got some mail today as well."
"Thanks i'll check it out upstairs." I said picking up the few envelopes sitting on the island.
I got up to my room and kicked me shoes off before taking a seat at my desk and opening up the envelopes, the first three were Christmas cards from local families wishing my "family" happy holidays.
But the last one was was in a much nicer cream envelope and it was addressed in a very sophisticated handwrittwn script.
To: Mr Jasper Whitlock & Ms Emmaline Harper
I couldn't help but blush at seeing our names together on this envelope, to see his name next to mine felt so official.
I carefully opened the envelope and took out a beautiful invitation and smiled.

Emmaline beamed down with happiness at the fact that one of her friends was getting married.
Sure Alice had been married to Jasper and they may have even loved each other but the way I see it, it's kind of like my parents.
They love and respect each other and they always will, but they aren't meant to be together because they aren't IN love with each other. Also I know Jasper loves me, and everyone could see the love Alvaro and Alice share.
I continued reading the invitation and found the date time and place.
