Previously on The Wolf Shifter's Love:
"You're not looking so great lately, Your Highness" Hak says, shocking Yona. "Bags under your eyes, hands all scratched up. You've been overdoing it" he says, patting her head. "Take some time to rest instead".
"I don't know what you're talking about" she says, looking down.
"AWWW~" I exclaim loudly. "That's so cute~" I say, completely destroying the mood. They both blush at my comment and look away. I just giggle.
"Be really careful, okay?" Yona says.
"Someone might recognise you, Thunder Beast. Try not to make a scene" Yoon says.
"You guys should hide too. This'll stand out, so I'll leave it here" He gestures to his weapon. "And White Snake..."
"You don't need to tell us! We will protect her highness" he says, pulling Shin-ah and I towards him.
"Hak... come right back" Yona says to him.
With that, he walks towards the port, leaving us behind him.
Y/N POV
After Hak is out of sight, I turn to Yona with a smirk on my face.
"Don't start (Y/N)" she says, a blush evident on her face. My smirk widens.
"But you're so adorable together that I have to express my inner fangirl that has been locked away for centuries" I say dramatically.
"You're not that old (Y/N)" Yona says flatly.
"On the contrary, I am the descendant of Viribus Lupus and I can guarantee you that he had an inner fanboy. So naturally the burden would be passed on to his dear ancestor" I say.
"Actually he was know to be emotionless or just posses anger and hatred" Kija informs.
"Now Kija, you and I both know that changed when he fell in love" I say confidently.
"So what you're saying is that you are in love" he smirks.
"W-what!? N-no, I didn't say that" I blush.
"Ah how the tables have turned. I guess now is a great time to tell you that Viribus fell in love with the Blue Dragon of that era" he says, smirk growing wider.
"Like you said (Y/N), it's only natural that that would be passed on to his ancestor" Yona joins in.
"Admit it, you love Shin-ah" Yoon suddenly contributes.
"I... I feel so attacked right now" I stutter, face now completely red.
"Confess!" They all say.
"AHHH! This is too much pressure!" I shout, running into the forest nearby.
I lean against a tree and breath deeply.
'Why did they all gang up on me like that? And with Shin-ah right there. I feel so embarrassed, but why? Is it true what they say? Do I l-love him?'
I hold my head in my hands in frustration.
'Every time I'm near him I feel... weird. Is that feeling love? I guess it is when you put it like that, but there's no way he feels the same way' I think sadly.
Suddenly, I hear the bushes next to me shake. I stand ready to fight.
'Is it the Leopard Shifter!?'
I hold my breath, but immediately release it when Shin-ah emerges from the greenery.
"Oh, it's just you Shin-ah" I say, lowering my fists.
"Are you okay?" He asks.
"Yeah, I'm fine" I reply.
He walks towards me. When he's close enough, he looks down at me. Without thinking, I reach up and remove his mask, placing it on the ground next to me. He looks at me curiously.
"S-sorry, I wanted to see your face" I say, looking down shyly.
He puts his hand to my chin and raises it so I'm looking directly at him. I gaze into his beautiful eyes and he smiles.
"Shin-ah... what they were saying before..." I start.
"It's okay" he says.
"No... to be honest... I think they're right" I blush deeply. "I l-love you... Shin-ah" I confess. He looks shocked for a second, before he smiles back.
"I love you too... (Y/N)"
Before I can say anything, he wraps his arms around my waist and brings his face closer to mine. I follow his lead and we meet in a passionate kiss. We close our eyes as our lips mould together, like they were made for each other. I feel sparks dance where he touches me. We break away for air and he places his forehead on mine. I smile widely and he does the same.
"We should get back, before they start to worry" I say.
He nods his head in agreement and picks up his mask, placing it on his head once more. We link our hands together and walk back in a comfortable silence. When we arrive they all turn their attention to us, immediately looking down at out intertwined hands.
"Are you two..." Yona starts.
I smile and nod. Kija and Yoon smirk, while Yona squeals is excitement, tackling me in a hug.
"I'm so happy for you two!" She exclaims excitedly.
I laugh at her reaction. I see Kija playfully punch Shin-ah on the shoulder with a smirk.
"This is so exciting!" Yona says, causing me to laugh.
"Well it's going to get even better" I smirk.
"What do you mean?" She asks in confusion.
"Well it's your turn of course" I say.
"What?" She asks.
"You and Hak are next silly" I smile.
"Not going the happen" she says, but the smile doesn't leave her face.
"We'll see" I say and she just smiles.
I sit next to Shin-ah with my head on his shoulder, as we wait for Hak's return.
