The VMAs are today/tonight and my boyfriend is the singer and songwriter, Shawn Mendes. I decided to wear a long red dress that would hug my curves and I put my y/h/c in a bun. Shawn would be dressing in a black tuxedo with a white shirt and black tie. I put on my makeup and I had to admit, I was feeling a bit confident. I looked good, and I usually don't say that about myself. If only I could dress like this all of the time. I walked downstairs to where Shawn was. His back was to me and Josiah was taking pictures of him. I put my finger to my mouth so Josiah would know to stay quiet, and walked over to Shawn, and put my hands so they were covering his eyes. He turned around and his jaw dropped.
"Do I look okay?" I asked Shawn. He nodded his head violently.
"Darling you look... wow. I have no words. Just, wow." Shawn said. I smiled and blushed. Shawn smiled at me, took my hands, and kissed the tops of both of them.
"I would do the same to you but I have lipstick on." I said with a giggle. Shawn threw his head back with laughter.
"That would be funny if I had lipstick on my hands." Shawn said. I shook my head but had a smile on my face.
"You're nuts." I said. Shawn pointed at me.
"But you love me anyways." Shawn said with a smirk.
"This is true." I said.
"Alright you two, time to get going." Andrew said. Shawn and I nodded and he gently grabbed my hands and we walked out to the car that would take us to the place that they were holding the VMAs at.
"You look amazing by the way." I said to Shawn as the two of us and Andrew drove along. Shawn blushed.
"Thank you darling." Shawn said. Suddenly, nerves started to set in. I'm not a superstar. I'm a school counselor. I'm not used to this. I squeezed Shawn's hand, and he looked at me with a look of concern etched across his face. "You nervous?" Shawn asked.
"Yeah. I'm just not used to this stuff." I said.
"I know hun. It takes time. Even I still get nervous sometimes." Shawn said. This shocked me.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yup. But you'll do fine honey, and I promise you that I won't leave your side, okay?" Shawn asked.
"You promise?" I asked.
"I promise." Shawn said. I took a deep breath and nodded.
"Okay. Will there be interviews?" I said and asked.
"Probably, but you'll stay right by my side." Shawn said. I smiled.
"We're here." Andrew said. Someone opened the door and Shawn stepped out before turning around and offering me his hand. I slowly took it. His touch electrified me as I gently took his hand. He offered me a smile, and I returned it. Shawn interlaced our fingers together and we walked hand in hand down to our first spot on the red carpet. Shawn put his arm around my waist and I put my arm around him too, and we smiled for the cameras. We walked to our next spot, and continued to do this until someone walked up to us.
"Shawn! Is this your lovely girlfriend Y/n?" The lady asked. Shawn nodded and smiled at me.
"It is." Shawn said.
"Could we interview you guys?" She asked.
"You want me too?" I asked, just to make sure that I had heard her right.
"Of course!" She said cheerily. Shawn and I nodded and he gave my hand a slight squeeze.
"Julia Hoffman here with Shawn Mendes and Y/n Y/l/n. How are you guys?" Julia asked.
"Good, it's great to be back. How are you feeling babe?" Shawn asked me.
"Good. This is fun." I said. I hoped I looked okay on camera. Julia smiled.
"Great. So, Shawn, you're on your festival run right now, but are you excited for tour?" She asked. Shawn nodded.
"Definitely. I love going on tour, the only hard part is leaving my loved ones behind, especially this beautiful girl." Shawn said while looking at me. I blushed.
"That's so sweet. Y/n, how do you deal with Shawn being away?" Julia asked.
"It's hard but luckily I have good friends and a great family that stick around me, especially when I get sad about him being gone." I said. Shawn gave my hand a squeeze. He knows that I really struggle whenever he's away. That's why I'm not the biggest fan of this festival run. Don't get me wrong, I support Shawn and everything that he does, but I just hate being away from him, especially for such a long period of time.
"Well, I'll let you two go. Have fun tonight guys!" Julia said. We thanked her and walked away.
"Did I do okay?" I asked Shawn.
"You did perfect babe. Now just a little bit longer and then we'll be seated." Shawn said. I nodded and took a deep breath. Just like Shawn said, it was only a little bit longer and then Shawn and I were seated. The award show was great and Shawn won some awards. I'm so beyond proud of him. The night soon came to an end, and I felt exhausted.
"I'm so glad that we're on the way back to the hotel. I'm exhausted." I said once we got in the car. Shawn kissed my cheek.
"Me too babe, me too. Personally, I can't wait until we can get into more comfortable clothing." Shawn said. I let out a laugh.
"God, if that's not the truth, I don't know what is. Once we get home and change, we can cuddle in bed, right?" I asked Shawn. He kissed my forehead. We're very lovey dovey with each other.
"Right. I can't wait until you take the lipstick off so I can kiss you. Take your makeup off first before you take the dress off, okay?" Shawn asked. I laughed and nodded.
"You two are disgustingly cute." Andrew said. Shawn and I laughed. We soon arrived at the hotel and I immediately went into the bathroom to take my makeup off. Shawn walked in just as I was taking the lipstick off. He was shirtless while wearing basketball shorts. He looked hot.
"Ah, just in time." Shawn said. I giggled.
"You have perfect timing Mr. Mendes." I said.
"Well that's good future Mrs. Mendes. One of these days, I'm going to wife you up." Shawn said.
"Really?" I asked. Shawn nodded.
"Of course. I love you to pluto and back." Shawn said. Tears came to my eyes and I wiped them away.
"I love you more." I said.
"Impossible. Don't cry baby girl. Am I scaring you?" Shawn asked, a look of concern etched across his face.
"No, I'm just really happy that you want to marry me someday." I said. Shawn smiled and kissed my forehead.
"Now, finish taking the lipstick off so I can kiss the living shit out of you." Shawn said. I threw my head back with laughter.
"Shawn, I don't think shit is living." I said.
"Well, I don't care. I'll kiss the dead shit out of you then." Shawn said. I laughed as I finished taking my lipstick off.
"Now that the lipstick is off, wanna make out?" I asked. Shawn nodded.
"Honey, I've wanted to kiss you all night. Come here." He said. His lips were soon on mine and they moved in sync with each other. I felt sparks shootout like fireworks throughout my body, I felt my heart race as if I had just run a marathon, and I felt butterflies erupt and fly around in my stomach. We pulled away all too soon.
"That was amazing my love." I said. Shawn smiled his million dollar smile at me.
"Your kisses are always amazing. Let's get that dress off of you." Shawn said as he unzipped me. I got changed into a tank top and shorts. "Now, let's go to bed, yeah?" Shawn asked.
"Yeah." I said. He scooped me up into his arms and laid me down on the bed. He got in on the other side of the bed and pulled me close to him. I placed a small kiss on his chest and then I pecked his lips.
"No, no, no, that wasn't good enough, get those lips back over here." Shawn said with a smirk. I giggled and put my lips on his. I felt the same feelings as before. The sparks, the heart racing, the butterflies. Everything. Shawn gives me insane feelings and I love it. We pulled away, gasping for air after our rather passionate kiss.
"Goodnight baby boy." I said.
"Goodnight darling." Shawn said, and with that, we fell asleep.
