I open the door and saw Oliver in a white fancy shirt with black pants. I can't explain how hot he looks right now, probably way better than me.
Oliver: Hey Sina

Oliver: ready to go?
Me: yeah
Oliver: let's go and by the way, you look nice
Me: thank you and you do as well
We got in the car and drove to an empty spot where we could sit. I guess he didn't plan this out and so he just brought ice cream. I can't get mad at him because this is his first date. I would have done the same.
Oliver: so I know this is kind of a bad first date
Me: kind of bad but it's good because I'm with you
Oliver: hey, can I ask you something?
Me: yeah, anything
Oliver: would you go out with me?
Me: YES
Oliver: I was afraid that you might have said no
Me: no, never
Oliver: cool
Me: can I ask you something?

Me: why did you ask me out? Was it because our mother's are friends or is it because you already knew I liked you?
Oliver: it's none of that. I ask you out because I felt that we had connection.
Me: oh ok, I'm sorry it just that you're an one hundred and I'm a zero. I thought you liked some else and you wouldn't have liked me because I'm not like everyone else and I don't wear expensive clothes.
Oliver: that's one thing I like about you. You're different and it's amazing. I don't want to date someone that's exactly like me but at less different from me. Someone who didn't get everything they want. I didn't want to date a brat. Someone that didn't have to work at all and just getting things handed to them. You had to work for what you wanted. You're different, Sina. Stop comparing yourself to me and other people. Then what would this relationship be. I like you and I want to date you for who you are and if you're going to change because you dating me than what are we doing?
Me: I'm not going to change just because I'm dating you. You know when I first saw you on musically, I became more positive and I cared about you. I didn't care that you had money or your looks. I liked you because you are a good person. I love how weird you are and the way you acted shy. I did care when you were in California and around girls but I trusted you. Oh I got to go now, my mother texted me saying I have to get back now
Oliver: *head nods*
We drove back to my house
Me: do you think it got serious
Oliver: no I think we should have talked about our differences but this shouldn't impact us
Me: *looks back at him before going inside* If I were to change, it would be for me.
Later around 11
I couldn't go to sleep because of what happen early. I keep thinking about it and what he said.
Oliver: you still up?
Me: yeah, I couldn't go to sleep
Oliver: what are you thinking about?
Me: what happen earlier
Oliver: same but can we put it behind us. Don't let it change us
Me: of course but I have to go to sleep now. I don't want to fall asleep in class
Oliver: ok get a good night sleep

Is Oliver a red flag? As I re-edit this story, I feel like I wrote a red flag. "You're not like other girls. Can we forget about this?" Don't let this story change your opinion on him.
