Author's Note: Surprise, surprise, I'm not dead. Anyways———— what do you guys think about a Villain OC being added to this story??? (I mean it's not like I already created them and came up with a costume and a quirk and a backstory or anything. Ahem.) Yay? Nay? ... How about 2 Villain OC's? Okay, I'm getting a bit carried away. 'There's no rule stating that a teammate can be captured with the tape.... not that he would stay in the tape anyways. So, you're gonna have to find some way to trap him or grab Midoriya and run... or wear Bakugou out...? I hope you've got a plan...'
Ryu smiled devilishly, wishing he could mentally tell Kaiha:
'I've got it covered.'
Bakugou, not-so-surprisingly, made the first move.
Ryu saw the right swing coming from a mile away. He easily dodged Bakugou's roaring punch, and aimed three quick jabs at his side.
Bakugou spun around, clenching his side.
"YOU—" Bakugou launched himself forwards with an explosion.
'Left kick?'
Ryu grinned, grabbing Bakugou's left leg as it swung at his head. Ryu twisted the leg and threw Bakugou to the ground.
"YOU DAMN CAT!" Bakugou screamed, jumping up onto his feet.
Ryu couldn't help but grin, something he often does when fighting.
"You're awfully predictable, Kaaa~cchan~" Ryu winked mockingly.
He could almost see the sparks in the blond's eyes.
"FUCKING DIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE!"
Bakugou charged Ryu. The latter prepared to dodge.
At the last moment, Bakugou brought both of his hands forward.
'Both?!'
Ryu fell onto his back to avoid the explosion. It was successfully avoided, but Ryu took too long to stand back up as Bakugou quickly reacted with another explosion.
Ryu's knees were blasted before he could jump far enough away.
'Tch.'
There was only a little blood.
"Alright." Ryu said, facing Bakugou, "It's been fun.... but that's enough of that."
Ryu pinned his ears back, and his eyes focused.
Suddenly, Ryu jumped diagonally onto the wall to his right, and then almost instantly jumped diagonally to the opposite wall. He made another diagonal jump in the other direction, putting him right behind Bakugou.
Before the temperamental teen could figure out what was happening, Ryu struck him hard in the side of the neck.
Midoriya, who was standing quietly out of the way, gasped as Bakugou crumpled to the ground.
Ryu sighed, tapping Bakugou lightly with his foot to make sure his attack had worked.
'Well, you could've told me about that little move...'
"Ahh... sorry about him, Deku..." Ryu smiled.
"U-um... so he's...."
"Passed out, essentially.... for now at least..."
"Wow. That was......."
"Ha. He's gonna be pretty pissed when he wakes up.... Oh, well~"
"THAT WAS AMAZING."
Ryu almost jumped at the sheer volume of Midoriya's voice.
"Ehh...?" Ryu sweat dropped.
"I had no idea you were so fast. No wonder you were able to catch Uraraka. But how did you know to come down here? You ran after him so fast. And then that wall jump! You were almost completely sideways while jumping off of the wallsIcouldbarelyseeyouandyoupredictedallofKacchan'smovesIreallyneedmynotebookwhile allofthisisstillfreshinmymemory. Let's see, how did that thing with your hand go.....?"
Ryu deadpanned. "M-midoriya.... it wasn't really that impressive... I could predict his moves because I was watching your battle with him before. And Bakugou wasn't thinking clearly since he was so mad, haha."
"Don't be so modest! That was really—...... THE TIME!" Midoriya looked around frantically and then got into a fighting stance.
"S-sorry, Ryu-kun. I've got a weapon to retrieve!" Izuku said.
Ryu grinned. "Ah, almost forgot."
"Let's see what that Quirk of yours can do." Ryu widened his stance.
'Avoid letting him attack you. You should be fast enough to immobilize him. Have the tape ready. This kid seems smart though... He's probably got something up his sleeve.'
Ryu reached into his back pocket and grabbed the capture tape. Midoriya grabbed his as well.
After a few seconds, Ryu ran at Midoriya from the left. He aimed a slow punch with his right hand. Midoriya caught the punch as Ryu swerved his left half behind Midoriya and reached for the tape in the others right hand.
Midoriya caught on quicker than Ryu had expected, and the former yanked his hand away.
Ryu retaliated by kicking his right leg forwards, aiming for Midoriya's hand. The kick was successful and the tape went flying into the air.
Midoriya reached for his capture tape, but Ryu easily jumped 4 feet to snatch it out of the air.
Ryu now held tape in both hands.
Izuku furrowed his eyebrows.
'Good idea...'
Ryu charged again, planning to aim a kick at his legs. However, just as Ryu got close, Midoriya activated his Quirk in his left arm. Ryu's eyes widened as he struggled to stop himself.
Midoriya stepped forwards and pulled back his arm, aiming for the punch. As his arm began to move, Ryu jumped backwards.
But...
Midoriya still swung. He swung up.
The force of his punch caused a giant whirlwind to swirl upwards, tearing through the ceiling above them.
Ryu turned his head to the side and put his arms in front of his face, trying to stand steady.
Debris fell from the ceiling as the giant rampaging gust slowed down.
Ryu squinted through the dust and wind and he suddenly realized Midoriya was shooting straight though the hole in the ceiling.
Midoriya had used the Quirk on his big toe, pushing himself off the ground and straight through to the next floor.
'The weapon!'
Ryu dropped the tape in his left hand and dashed under the hole in the ceiling. He jumped through and spotted Midoriya in a dead sprint towards the giant weapon.
Ryu chased after him, channeling his super strength into his legs. His greater speed allowed him to catch up to Midoriya. Ryu not-so-gracefully threw himself in front of Midoriya and tackled him to the ground.
Ryu hadn't even realized his claws were retracted as he held Midoriya firmly on the ground.
Ryu glanced at Izuku's broken, purple arm, but quickly brought his mind back to the subject at hand.
Midoriya pushed and kicked at Ryu's body, trying to pry him off.
Ryu held onto Midoriya as he jumped up into the air, almost high enough to touch the ceiling. As soon as he did so, he let go of Izuku and quickly wrapped him in tape.
Midoriya flailed, with no ground or walls around as a means to escape his capture.
Before they hit the ground, Ryu grabbed Midoriya and landed neatly on his feet.
Midoriya's eyes were wide.
"Hehe.... that was some trick you pulled back there. You almost got the best of me." Ryu grinned, his breathing somewhat labored.
A voice resounded through the training grounds. "Indoor person-to-person combat training... Villain Team......... WIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!"
Ryu flattened his ears against his head at the harshness of All Might's exited tone.
He felt a small pang in his chest at the words "Villain Team", but quickly shook it off.
'I should be happy. I won.'
Ryu then noticed he was holding Midoriya bridal style and willed away the small blush that colored his cheeks at the realization. He set Midoriya onto his feet.
Izuku looked flustered as well, but Ryu couldn't tell if the reason was mutual.
"Aw. Guess we lost....."
The two boys spun around to see Uraraka sitting on the floor.
"URARAKA?!??!!" Midoriya shouted.
The green haired boy's face went horribly pale.
"I totally forgot she was up here.... I could've hit her with the.........." Midoriya looked like a ghost.
Ryu couldn't help but laugh at his friends realization.
"Eh... but... come to think of it. How'd you know the weapon was up here???" Ryu questioned, pulling the tape off of Midoriya.
Midoriya began pulling the tape off of himself as well.
"Hehe... it was a lucky guess. I figured you would still be protecting the weapon when Bakugou came down here, and you somehow managed to get there in time to stop him, so I guessed you couldn't have been very far up." Izuku explained.
"I was so focused though.... I forgot about Uraraka—!" Izuku babbled again.
The green haired teen bowed deeply. "I-I'm really sorry! I just wasn't thinking because I was trying to come up with a plan andIseriouslycould'vehurtyouifIaimed
differentlyandIjustdon'thaveanyideahowit skippedmymindthatyouwere—"
Uraraka hastily waved her hands in front of her. "It's fine! It was kinda my fault for getting captured and not being able to help you. But I'm not hurt or anything so you don't have to freak out, hehe."
Ryu nodded, bending over to help Ochako stand up. "She's right. Don't be too harsh on yourself... You're the one who's all beat up...." he frowned thoughtfully.
Ryu and Midoriya pulled all the capture tape off of Uraraka.
Suddenly, Midoriya fell to the ground.
"D-deku?!" Ryu shouted, bending over to help Midoriya stand.
"I'm... fine."
Ryu helped Izuku walk towards the stairwell.
"Uh huh. Your dying arm says otherwise. Come on, we need to get you to Recovery Girl... Let's go downsta—" Ryu said.
The trio gasped as the ground beneath them began to rumble. Blasts were resounding below them, and the building was quaking. Ryu could see flashes from the opening in the floor.
"Oh.... is that Bakugou? What even happened to him...?" Uraraka asked curiously.
Ryu turned around,
"You know, on second thought, I think I know a shortcut."
