I sent Leslie a text as I came down from my car..
Me: where you at?
Bestie💖: I ditched last period
Me: why?
Bestie💖: long story babe. I'll come over later today

I kept my phone in my bag and proceeded to the hallway. I noticed a crowd of people.
I heard them chanting. A fight was probably going on. Well, that's none of my business..
I'll just go to class and wait for Leslie or someone I know to show up.
I looked to my left to see Tiffany coming my way.
"Where have you been?" She screamed.
I chuckled.
"Hi to you too"
"I'm serious. I've been trying to call you"
"I went out. I'm sorry. My phone was off"
"There's a very big problem"
I didn't even have to ask to know what it was. I heard Drew's voice
"Don't talk about her like that" his voice boomed through the corridor.
"Oh no"
I pushed through the crowd. I rushed to get to the middle of the scene.
Drew had Eric in a headlock. I ran to separate them.
"Babe stop" I said as I pulled Drew away from him.
He flung Eric to the floor with ease. Eric was almost passed out. He was already spitting blood.
Drew had a few injuries too and a lip cut.
Students were busy taking pictures
"Drop the phones!" I shouted at them "For once in your fucking lives can you stop revolving around social media? "
I turned to Drew
"Baby what happened?" I tried to touch his face but he smacked my hand away.
Everyone gasped.
My mouth was hung open in shock.
What the fuck is going on?
"Is it true?" Drew asked quietly. It was so quiet that I almost couldn't hear it.
"Is what true? " I'm confused at this point
"That you had a bet on me" his eyes were glossy like he wanted to cry
"Baby, please tell me it's not true" he begged
Tears were already dropping from my eyes. I held my mouth to stop the sound of my cries.
"I'm sorry" I said
"So you used me? For fun?"
"It started like that. I promise I really do love you"
"Here I was thinking you really cared about me. I thought about ways that I could take care of you, take care of us. All this while, I was a fucking joke?" His voice was so loud.
"It's not like that"
He ran his hands through his hair.
"I'm so stupid. I knew it. It's unreal for a girl like you to like a guy like me. But I just thought maybe just maybe this was meant to be"
"Drew, I'm sorry"
I tried to hold his hand.
"Don't you fucking touch me!"
I was so scared. I knew Eric was the one who told him. The stupid bastard.
"I'm sorry"
"You're sorry cause you got caught. It's fine. You don't have to pretend anymore. The truth is out. We can go back to our normal lives"
Those were his last words before he walked out. The next thing we heard was Aaron's laughter.
"Ha! I knew there was a catch to this" he said..
"Nice one Bella" one of the football players.
"Give it up for Bella for pranking the beast" someone said from the crowd.
"I knew it. She's way out of his league"
"Good job, Martins"
"Yes! Joke's on the beast he thought he was so cool cause he had the most beautiful girl in school"
Aaron put his arms around my shoulders. I just stood there unsure of what to do or where to go
"You're a legend. How do you feel, babe?' He asked.
"Empty"

I knocked on Drew's front door. I bit my nails. I was very pensive. I really need to talk to Sharon
I looked for him around school after the fight. He was nowhere to be found so I assumed he'd be home.
I came here two hours later. At least, that's enough time for him to cool off
After a few minutes, Sharon opened the door. She smiled when she saw it was me
"Hello dear" she said, giving me a hug. She frowned when she noticed the tears in my eyes.
"What's wrong love? Did Drew do something?"
"No, it's all my fault"
"Come inside. Let's talk"
"Thank you"
A few minutes later I was wrapped in a towel shivering. I felt cold all of a sudden.
"Is Drew home?" I asked her.
"Nope" she replied, handing me a hot cup of tea
"Thanks" I took a sip
She sat down beside me.
"Tell me exactly what happened"
"I.... "
I couldn't even complete the sentence before I bursted out crying. It's the kind of cry when you just let everything out and wail loud
What if he leaves me? What am I gonna do?
Sharon tried rubbing my back to calm me down. I couldn't feel anything
"Shh.. It's okay"
"No. It's not" I cried.
"Tell me what happened"
"I had a bet on Drew. My friends and I made the bet for fun"
"Oh my god! That's a mean thing to do"
"They dared me to break down his walls and date him in sixty days. That's what I did but in the process I fell in love with him. When we started dating, I told them I really liked him. Instead of taking the money, I paid it to my friend. If we hadn't done the bet I wouldn't be this happy"
"Wow"
"He found out today in school. My ex boyfriend told him and now, he's mad at me"
"I... I don't know what to say. I wish he heard it from you first"
"I know. I even forgot all about the bet because our relationship felt real to me. That's how much I care about him"
"This is a lot of information to take in. I don't even know what to say to make you feel better"
"Just say you'll talk to him, please. He'll listen to you"
She sighed.

"Please Sharon. I really do care about your son. If I didn't, I wouldn't be here"

The door opening interrupted our conversation. Drew walked in angrily.
"Hey Mom" he said.
His expression changed when he saw me
"What are you doing here?" He had so much scorn in his voice. I'm sure he hates me already.

"It's not my business anyway"
He walked out on us. That made me cry more. I doubt he'll forgive me.
Sharon hugged me.
"It's okay. You wanna go talk to him?"
"Do you think that's a good idea?"
"Probably"
"Okay"
She gave me a kiss on my forehead
I got up and made my way to his room. I slowly entered.
He was standing by his window while looking outside.
"What do you want?" He growled.
"Drew I. "
"You don't have to pretend, Bella. What's done is done"
"I'm not pretending. If I don't love you, I wouldn't be trying to beg you"
"I don't care. You're a liar"
"Drew; please, listen to me"
"You have twenty seconds to leave"
"Can you just hear me out?"
"Ten seconds gone"
"I love you"
"Please, leave"
To avoid any unnecessary trouble, I left his room.
"Any luck?" Sharon asked me.
I shook my head. She rubbed my shoulder
"Don't be too hard on yourself. Give him some time to cool off."
"Okay"
"I'll talk to him for you. I promise"

"I guess I'll be on my way now. Say hi to Abby for me"

I left his house. What am I gonna do? Thoughts swirled through my mind as I walked home.

I just wanted the boy I love by my side. I sighed as I entered my house
"Hey sis" Gerald said. He was playing games in the living room.
"Hi" I replied dryly
"You look a mess. You're sweaty. Wait... Did you walk?"

He paused his game and walked over to me.

Tears came out again. My eyes stung cause of how much I cried today. I've never cried this much in my life.
"Drew broke up with me"
"What? Where is he? Did he cheat? He's so fucking dead, I swear was..."

He engulfed me in a bear hug. I hugged him back. I felt a little better
"It's okay. He loves you. You'll figure it out"

He pecked me on my forehead
"Go upstairs and rest. Leslie's waiting for you. At least, she can keep you company"
"Sure"
"Its alright. Don't cry no more, okay?"
I smiled weakly.
"Okay"
I went upstairs to my room. Of course, trust Leslie to make herself at home
She was laying on my bed blasting music with my beat pills.
"Hey"
"Hi"
I flopped on my bed and stared at the ceiling.
"What's wrong? " she turned off the music "Have you been crying? Oh my gosh"
She sat up and caressed my hair
"Drew found out about the bet" I sighed.
"Oh shit"
"He broke up with me. It was so horrible"
I put my head in her lap and let her play with my hair.
"It'll be alright, babe"

"Don't worry. He's just angry"
"What am I gonna do?"
"I have good news for you"

"My parents took me back"

"I have some loose change. Get dressed and let's go get some ice cream"
