There was a girl born to the world
who asked it give her more.
But more was not the answer
she was actually looking for.
For when the world had given her
everything it had,
She still did not achieve
the ability to be glad.
For though she tried to fill up with things,
her emptiness of soul,
No amount of material
can fill that type of hole.
For it was not the things that others had
for which her body grieved,
But love itself, that intangible
and ever present need.
