A tuneful, heartwarming story, it is based on the real life story of the Von Trapp Family singers, one of the world's best-known concert groups in the era immediately preceding World War II. Julie Andrews plays the role of Maria, the tomboyish postulant at an Austrian abbey who becomes a governess in the home of a widowed naval captain with seven children, and brings a new love of life and music into the home.
I love the sound of Music very much and In my opinion it is the best musical. I love all the songs, the Characters, The setting, and It is just so perfect! I am going to leave a link to my favorite song from The Sound Of Music on the top, if you are intrested (Honestly all the songs are my favorite but sadly I have to pick one ;( Oh well). Fun Fact, This Musical is what made me want to go preform on stage when I was 5 years old. BONUS FACT! The girl who played Maria (Main Character) or known as Julie Andrews (Which is her real name) Is my idol, and my favorite Actress without hesitation.
