A month later, I check my grades.
I look at them in shock.
I'm not passing any of my classes.
I have all F's except for PE, I have an A.
This isn't good, if I don't pass my classes, I won't graduate.
Remember when I said I couldn't get in the habit of staying up with LaMelo, well I made it a habit.
I try not to fall asleep in my classes and I always end up drifting off to sleep.

Later that night, I'm on FaceTime with LaMelo.
He is telling me about yesterday's practice.
"Yeah, I got this really nice shot when-"
"-I can't do this!" I blurt out.
LaMelo looks at me hurt.
"Wh-what?" LaMelo says.
I can see tears forming in his eyes.
What the fuck!
My eyes widen. "No no no, not like that! I'm not breaking up with you!"
LaMelo stays quiet.
"I mean I can't stay up with you on FaceTime, my grades are really bad and I keep falling asleep in my classes," I explain.
LaMelo looks at me biting his lip.
"Why didn't you just tell me you had to go to sleep? I would've let you go!"
"I wanted to see you,"
"Babe, your grades are more important. You can't fuck up senior year!"
"I know I know," I close my eyes.
It's 5:35 P.M. for me so it's 3:35 A.M. for LaMelo.
LaMelo yawns and he rubs his eyes.
"You should go to sleep, I'll talk to you later, okay?"
"Okay, talk to you later!" LaMelo blows me a kiss before ending the call.
I get out some missing work that I need to do and I work on it until it is 8, then I get ready for bed.

The next day, I turn in missing work for all of my classes.
I look at my grades after school.
I still have an A in PE.
In my other classes, I have a C-, D, B, C+, and D+.
I let out a sigh.
"They are getting better!"
I take screenshot of my grades and I send it to LaMelo.
A few hours later, LaMelo replies to my message.
