Kyla's POV

We've been married now for a little over a week. I'm sure the newly-wed bliss will fade eventually, but for no, I couldn't be happier.

Right now, we're at the home improvement store in the next town over, picking out paint colors for our new house. We've settled on a soft blue for our room, the dinning room, and the kitchen, a light peach color for the entry-way, and a soft minty green color for the bathrooms and hallways. We'll wait to pick out colors for the other bedrooms until we know what to do with them. We want to start a family, so if we get pregnant before Riley takes over as Alpha, we'll wait until we find out if we're having a boy or a girl to paint.

We put the cans of paint in our cart, get the other items necessary for painting-paintbrushes of different sizes, rollers, paint pans, painter's tape, tarps, stirring sticks, etc,- and check out.

At home, after taking the furniture out of our room, we set of the tape and tarps. I set up the paint pans and put together the rollers, and Riley opens a can of blue paint. He stirs it, then pours some into two pans, one for me and one for him. I hand him a roller and we get started.

Now, I feel I should warn you. I have never painted with a roller. It's a heck of a lot harder than it looks. It takes some serious muscle to it for any length of time. I was grunting from the effort within fifteen minutes. Before i took a break, I was determined to finish this wall. There was one little strip of white wall left before the window, where Riley was working. With one last grunt, I put a good shove into it. And my roller bounced off the wall. With my momentum though, me and the roller kept going. It all happened in the blink of an eye, but I watched in slow motion as the roller hit Riley's arm, rolled up, skipped up his shoulder, and rolled up his ear.

Riley just blinked, stilling his brush. Then he turned to look at me.

I coudn't help it. I burst out laughing. Oh, my gosh. He's blue.

"That color really makes your eyes pop, babe." i say, giggling. He just gives me a look. Then before i can blink, his free arm snaps out and he grabs my waist, pinning me to his solid chest, my arms pinned to my sides. His detail brush in hand, he swipes it up my face, making me gasp. Oh, no, he did not.

"It was an accident when I did it!" I yell, squirming in his grasp.

He laughs, the sound vibrating through his chest, and through me.

"But that color looks so pretty on you babe. Really makes you're eyes pop." he chuckles.

I hmph. "You're really lucky I love you, or it would be so on." I say.

We eventually finished painting the house a few weeks later, after many more similar incidents. We decorated the house as well, finding furniture, curtains, and decorations for the home.

_____________________________________________________________________________

We've been married now for a little over six months. We're at the pack house right now, hanging out with the pack, I'm sitting on Riley's lap, snuggled against his chest. We're watching Forest Gump again with the pack in the common room. Liam is snuggled against my side. Even though we see each other just about every day, he still says it's not the same as living with me. So he glues himself to my side whenever he can.

A wave of nausea hits me, and I clamp my hand over my mouth. I've been feeling sick for about a week, which is weird, because werewolves hardly ever get sick.

Another wave hits me again. stronger this time, and I shoot to my feet and sprint to the bathroom. I make it to the toilet just in time to empty the contents of my stomach for the third time in the tast two days.

When it's over, I lean my forehead against the cool sink. I hear a knock on the door, and it clicks open. Riley comes in, my mom trailing behind him. Riley crouches in front of me, brushing my sweaty hair back behind my ear, brushing it away from my sweaty forehead. I look into him eyes and see the concern in them, concern for me. I know he worries.

"We gotta figure out what this is Kyla." he says. He's been telling me this since it started, but I keep telling him no. It won't kill me, I'll be fine.

My mom has made it further into the bathroom, trying not to hover. Then i hear her gasp, drawing my attention away from Riley, my eyes snapping to her. Her hands are covering her mouth, and her eyes are huge. Before i can ask her what's wrong, her hands fall from her mouth, revealing a huge smile, and she starts bouncing up and down in excitement. Now I'm really confused.

Riley asks her what's wrong, and she starts laughing. "Absolutely nothing is wrong. I just smelled something on you is all." She looks to Riley. He looks confused for a second, then sniffs me. Suddenly his eyes snap open wide, and his jaw drops a little. Then he seems to process whatever he smelled on me, and starts smiling like crazy.

Am I the only one that's still confused? "What?" I demand of the two crazy happy people in front of me. Mom just shakes her head, still smiling. Riley grabs me in a big bear hug, laughing.

"Sorry, just smelled a very special hormone on you. Kyla" he says, still smiling like crazy.

"You're pregnant" he says.

I'm WHAT?

Oh my cheese.

  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yep. The pack doctor confirmed it. My eggo is preggo.

I know I shouldn't be surprised, but dang. I kinda thought I would at least be one of the first two people to find out that there's a BABY forming in my belly.

Holy crap. I'm gonna be a Mommy. I will be a flipping MOMMY in a little over four months, probably sooner since me and Riley both have strong Alpha blood.

I look down at my flat stomach. I'm about four weeks along right now. With how fast my pregnancy will progress, I'll have a bump in a week or so.

I rub my hand softly on my belly. I just found out, but I already love my little pup. I get a warm, fuzzy feeling just thinking about it.

Now it's time to get my butt in gear and get ready for it. We've got nothing for a baby yet, but that has to change ASAP. Riley and I have decided on green paint for the baby's room. I set Riley to the task of calling his dad and mine to get over here and get that done. I can't paint right now, because of the fumes, so I call my mom and Riley's. It's shopping time!

Riley's mother comes flying through the door, barely restraining herself from tackling me and crushing me to death in a bear hug. She is squealing uncontrollably, absolutely ecstatic that she's going to get her first grand-baby. As soon as she released me, her arms were replaced with my mother's.

After we control ourselves, I grab my purse, kiss Riley good-bye, and we head out.

We go to the baby store a few towns over. We look for cribs and such, and after calling Riley to ask his opinion, we decide on a dark wood crib, with rounded head and foot panels, and the matching changing table, rocking chair, and dresser. We then move on to clothes.

Let me just say. When you unleash three women, especially baby crazy ones, into a baby clothes department, there will be squeals.

"Oh my goodness! Look how cute! It's so tiny! They're gonna fit in this?" I gush, looking at a tiney onesie with ' I love my Daddy' embellished across the tummy in bubble letters.

We continued to ooh and aah at all the cute clothes. Along with a few plain onesie's in every color, many with animals in them, we got a few boy clothes, complete with a baseball uniform looking one, and a few sports themed and monster ones. We got some girl onesies too, ones that say 'Daddy's Little Princess' in purple with a tiara on top, on a pink one, a few more princess ones, and some with ruffles on them. I got a few tiny sun dresses, and some uni-sex jeans and overalls, some pants, some blanket sleepers, a few hats, socks, and jackets, a pack of those little towels with the hood on the corner with the animal ears and face, a pack of bottles, a pack of binkies, a pair of tiny pink converse with rhinestones along the toe, a pair of black ones, a rug for the baby's room, big and soft, fuzzy baby blue. We got a few toys, a hamper with a frog lid, a few stuffed animals, some bedding for the crib, a carrier, themed with leaves and things, the matching stroller, and a diaper bag.

Yes, we were maniacs. And we still didn't have everything. The mother's assured me that I will get overwhelmed with the rest at my baby shower.

Almost five hours later, after dinner on the go, we arrived home. The men stepped outside to help unload the van, and gaped as they saw everything.

Preparation has begun.
